@@smoggiewalks578 Hi Martin , that’s good to hear , it was really so much better than expected, what a fantastic place to choose for your camp! Sunrise must have been amazing. Best wishes
Fantastic Adam - one of the last walks I did with Paul that. You're right it's important to know when to turn back. When we were up there last it was a mad bad ass storm - we still went up as people were turning back. Ha ha! A lovely evening it has to be said. All the best. Mark
@@WyeExplorer Thanks Mark yes it was a lovely evening. That’s hilarious that you were soldiering on up there while the faint hearted were turning back - you both had the experience and the determination! It gets seriously windy up there at times. That’s lovely to hear about your memory with him up there and I didn’t know it was one of the last walks you did with him. Sending best wishes
@@adamradford2285 A real pleasure Adam - good to hear of the beauty of the walk mate. Yeah, it's a fond memory of us up there. Cheers-have a great day.
Hi Adam, I can attest to the steepness of that pull up Allt Ddu but the views once up are spectacular of the north side of Pen Y Fan and the other peaks. Looking at that hazy sunset I am guessing this was Sunday evening? I managed to get out for a few hours and got almost to the top of Mynydd Troed.... now that's another short sharp ascent whichever side you tackle it from. At 4:20 you look down into the beautiful Cwm Sere, sometime I would recommend you take a walk in that valley, full of tumbling cascades and looks beautiful when the hawthorn is in bloom. That circuit was a great explore for you. I have done the wider horse shoe in corn du andback around and you would have been struggling in the dark around there - the paths are not well trodden. atb Alan
@@thevalleywalker Hi Alan good to hear from you! Yes it was Sunday evening, was beautiful- there was a fantastic blood moon on the drive home at dusk did you see that? Yes Mynydd Troed is mega steep from any route , I love the view up there though , hope you had a good walk up there. I haven’t been to Cwm Sere , it does look very quiet and beautiful. I swear you did a video there? I will definitely add it to the endless to do list lol. Will get a practice run in for a head torch descent but will trial on an easy tourist path first to avoid any embarrassing mishaps lol. Hope you’re well. Best wishes
@@PhilipOlsen11 Hi Phil , thanks for the comment. Yes there’s a main official tourist car park at the foot of the north ridge of the mountain. It’s shown on the OS map. I believe the car park is called Cwm Gwdi. Thanks mate
One of fav loops. I've even camped up there just below 701 spot height.

Great route that I’ve wanted to do. My issue was the parking.
Do you have a what 3 words for where you parked?
