I imagine that was a tough old walk Adam. I spent a few hours around Blaen y Glyn today and at one point stepped into a bog that went up over both wellies... and it really sucked me in - I had visions of getting out without the wellies but managed to excavate myself from the predicament thankfully. The horshe used to be one of my walks I would take friends on their 1st walk up Pen y Fan so I have stood at that trig many times over the years. I can't get over how that path has grown over the years, it used to be you could see the ridge and headed up whichever way you felt best..lol. That was deefo some yomp from you today, what was the mileage? atb Alan
@@thevalleywalker Hi Alan, good to hear you got out! That’s made me laugh that image of you trying to extract your fully submerged wellies 😂. I think it could be very boggy conditions again this winter, not looking forward to that! My phone says it was 15K , so about 9 miles which with my very average level of fitness is about my limit atm lol. I do find boggy walks absolutely exhausting though compared to a good tourist path. Hope you have a great week thanks for the message as always 😄
Adam old mate - I don't know how to email you. Any chance of emailing me via my website and I'll email back? I hope your day has gone well. Thanks. Mark
@@WyeExplorer Hi Mark no problem, yeah sure I’ll send you an email via your website that’s fine. I’ll ping one over sometime over the weekend or Monday. Easier than chatting on here. Best wishes. Adam
@@adamradford2285 Hey, Adam - in your own time - yeah reserve the conversation for elsewhere. I'm up in Rhayder on the weekend doing two loop walks - not on Gwastedyn this time but opposite. I was thinking I'll do a really cool shout out. Take care. P.S I got your message on my channel just now but can't see it in my comments box. Peace.
@@WyeExplorer Hi Mark , that sounds fantastic, I hope you have a great weekend there and look forward to watching the walks. Rhayader is an awesome place in Mid-Wales and endless walking options as I soon realised on my visit! Ah thanks for any shout out , always appreciated. Sure we can park any conversation for email , but I’m happy it’s sorted anyway, certainly no problem from my side all good here happy to move forward positively. Enjoy the peace and solitude of Mid Wales this weekend! Best wishes Adam
@@adamradford2285 Hey, Adam - yeah it's gonna be great. Like you, I get excited by the prospects. It is a fantastic area. I'm looking forward to the Sessile Oak slopes and woods - also Nant Gwynllyn Falls in spate. Good to hear of the positivity - I'm the same. Things get aired - we improve and move on. Chat soon-email. Peace.
