I found Orion's take very interesting. I 100% agree about NT need to step back and give more space to ND when it comes to autism. Autistic people are better placed to talk about it, it's just a truth. We are not stupid, we do have some insight in how our brain works. And while some of us have more trouble identifying or expressing how they feel, it can be learned. We are not as helpless as some mental health professionals want to make us seem, when they say things like "you're not autistic, you're too aware, too insightful, too advanced in life, etc." First time I mentioned I might be autistic to a profesionnal, instant look of disapproval... That attitude needs to change asap.
Like, okay I'm bad at identifying social cues and noticing body language but I caught on that rather quickly and I started to look into it and it has helped me be more aware of those things. Doesn't mean I don't still struggle.
Love this concept! I enjoy Autistic content creators from 5 different countries already, and can’t wait to see more. It’s amazing how universal this condition can be, regardless of culture or environment. ✌️👏💕
Claire I want you to know how much these videos help me. It seems like each one I watch I gleam some poignant nugget that fills in a small piece of the riddle. And Orion, I felt, (feel) the same way you did like I was meant to suffer and am underserving of friends or love. God blessed me with a loving wife but feelings of doubt and insecurity are always there because as much as I educate myself about autism I still live in a world apart from everyone else.
Hi Friend I am so happy that they help. It really helps me to keep going when I hear this. I hope we can foster an environment where all ND people feel more comfortable to be themselves
I really resonated with one of the comments Orion made near the end where he said he is doing what he is for his son rather than himself. That's largely how I see it as well, but in my case, it's about being the person I wish I could have had in my life growing up since I don't have kids of my own
Bring it on! Thanks so much for having on your amazing channel Claire. I had so much fun.
That was a great talk. Nice to see you both talking about this stuff in a positive way.

Right!?! Like just cause I can hang doesn’t mean I’m not struggling.
