@@Kris_Reece Hi Kris, so um, what's the difference between a narcissist and or a selfish, disrespectful, entitled individual that doesn't care about anyone or anything (not even themselves) but to use, lie and manipulate to get what they want? OK so everything I just described is what you stated in your video and these individuals happen to be my children who I gave birth to. the only time they contact me is when they want something from me. Every time I'm in contact with them, they have so much negativity oozing out spiritually that I feel so drained and depressed afterwards, like it's sucking the life out of me, like a vampire.
Call them out on an obvious lie and then they spin it 3 different ways (but my intention was…) and end by saying “I’m shocked you think I lied.” Really funny!!! Reminds me of “Theater of the Absurd” Obviously there is no connection to interact with.
When someone continually exhibits rude behavior with me but not with others, it tells me I am a target. They know what they are doing, I know this because they hide it from others and deny it when confronted.
This describes my sister to a T. She never does it to our brother, just me. She also treats her oldest daughter this way too. She is telling me her kids hate me, and they say it’s a lie.
You ARE helping me. Thank you for just being there. You are helping me to continue to look up.. beyond the present pain and struggle. To fall on the LORD.
For me who has just recently received the toxic evil of a narcissist, it doesn't really matter to me why they are who they are, all I know isI am glad I am rid of them.
Wonderful and insightful video. Thanks for all you share. I believe many of us have been raised to tolerate abuse, not listen to our gut and second guess ourselves. Also do too much to keep the peace, wear rose-coloured glasses and paint red flags white. Giving too many chances until we are left with not only a bleeding broken heart, but a nearly shattered and hemmoraging one. I know I have changed dramatically to the point of cutting people off very quickly. I do not get into anything. I do however sometimes try to address things gently and if the person is not accountable I just distance myself. I think truly caring people are a rarity nowadays. God bless you and everyone on this channel!
Narcissist usually can NOT be saved NOR do they have a desire to change or be changed. You can neither fix them or save them.. Pray from a safe distance but do NOT engage them .. They will suck you into their lair!
About 2 years into my marriage my wife rolled over onto me and made a deathly gasp for air, she had a sudden cardiac arrest. A heartbeat of around 320 bpm. That was Over 20 years ago. It seems to me that God wanted me to save her and give her the unconditional love she never had. Dare I say, to fix her.
Hi Kris, Just wanted to say thank you. I am a heart patient and was released into the care of my wife of 18 years back in January 1 of this year. You would probably believe me if I told you some of the horrible things that she did. She left me gave me a three day notice changed the locks on our mobile home had the license plate taken off of my vehicle, which unfortunately was still in her name. Curses me out in a rage for about an hour and a half. I’m sure that it wasn’t her that was talking to me a good portion of the time. Now she has left from North Carolina took everything and is in Washington state.Your videos on RUclips have been a lifesaver for me. I didn’t even know what a narcissist was. Learning about this has helped me tremendously to be able to deal with the situation as a Christian.I purpose in my heart not to be unforgiving, resentful, wanting vengeance… your prayers have been a godsend and yes, you have been a great blessing to me. and I’m sure multiple thousands of other people that are struggling. Thanks, Chris for your godly wisdom compassion and grace.
Great signs to be on the lookout for, great advice, thanks my friend! God Bless!! Guard Heart and Boundaries, stand firm biblically and protect your peace-YES so important!! 🙂
Shoes are a great analogy. Thank you so much! Maybe crayons could be another analogy. I love the saying, "broken crayons still color" because we're all broken in some way and need to be kind, understanding and empathetic toward one another. But a narcissist is a different type of "crayon." They look like a brightly-colored, pretty crayon, but they're just a fake, plastic version that can never color a picture. A relationship with one will never work, never color a beautiful picture because there is no real person there, only a fake imitation of one. I don't know. What do you think?
Fake crayon as in a moulded piece of clear wax with a color coating. It colors for a spot but fades to nothing. This opposed to a whole, color-filled crayon.
I'll put it this way: We both work on ice, but she wears ice climbing boots on the ice rink while I wear blades. It isn't a match. It's not toxic, but it's a mismatch and only toxic when they insist they can still work on the ice rink without the blades. While everyone is gliding across the ice, she is slowly digging up the ice and damaging the surface where everyone is at risk while she ignores the fact of the disruption. That is toxic behavior.
@@catherineswish hold them accountable, insist they repair whatever damage, right any wrongs. Do they add any value to your life? There is no one answer depending on the circumstances.
This is more confusing than anything, there is a root cause for the behavior. Some people are raised to hurt others as that is what they know a relationship is, does that mean they are toxic as they do not know better? Or are they not toxic for the same reason? I think what you mean is. If the person is not willing to acknowledge and try to work on their toxic behavior then it can be "labeled" as toxic. To me that makes more sense. Everyone deserves a second chance or more. But toxic people prefer to not change and move on to find the "right one" or keep doing the same thing over and over again
Yes and our God given conscience knows what's right and what is wrong. When a conscience is "seared as with a hot iron" 1 Timothy 4:2, that person is hardened beyond change by their choice. Sounds tough but it is Biblical truth. There is a point of no return. Many today have reached. 2 Timothy 3:1-9. Sad but true. God Bless us and keep us from that point. 🙏

Kris, I love listening to your messages and at the same time watching you. The whole thing (confident posture and look in your eyes, authentic smile) work together with your messages and produce what God meant to. But the frame (cadre) moving has been a little bit disturbing for my eyesight recently. The picture jerks too often, I think. Once or twice would be just fine as your videos are not very long and eyes don't get too tired. Moving cadres more often rather remind shorts that are just killing our eyes (I am not speaking about your shorts. To me they are some of the best and respectful for our eyes and minds).
