One of the best feature of the classic is to be able to use the watch while wearing gloves. You can atleast respond to calls and messages without even touching the screen.

Watch Exchange is not available in India. You can only exchange phone.
Also about the battery, I can confirm the battery doesn't last 2 days for the 43mm classic atleast.
Can't exchange with a previous galaxy watch in India, must be a phone to get exchange bonus... Maybe would have upgraded it if I got a nice enough price for my GW3 Classic, it would have to be at least 15k including the exchange bonus.
15k is still less than half the price I bought it for, but its also old and only has Tizen, so maybe even 15k is pushing it too far...
Literally feel the same way. I would love to sell my watch 3 classic, but it also is in a great working condition. So it's hard to justify the upgrade without an exchange offer. :(
The temperature feature is useful for women, who can track their ovulation and predict chances of conception (birth control method basically) ...
I think there is a correction needed in the exchange information samsung India website doesn't give you option to select a watch in the exchange section only mobiles.
This has been confirmed by customer support as well.
However watches are accepted across other countries. Not sure why samsung would discriminate like that.

But I have galaxy watch 2 active and I use tap to pay using samsung pay app, without a samsung phone and without changing country. And just now checked the specs of all samsung watches and in all of them samsung pay is present with nfc. How can it be first time ever??

I didn't find this smartwatch useful at all..
My most needed features are 1. Maps during my bike ride, 2. Tap to pay. 3. Better battery health.
It failed in all (1year back)
1. When you're riding your bike your hand stays at horizontal angle and raise to wake screen will not work at all.
2. Tap to pay wasn't working (without modifying locations and all)
3. Battery is the worstest... I can understand being real smart, it can last for one day only.. but, charging is also worst... Almost 3 hours to fill your battery...
I sold it, and I'm happy about it...
I'm not saying these watches are bad, but think about your priorities, if it suits you then buy, or probably normal smartwatches will satisfy most of your day to day needs...

I usually travel by bike and own a s22 plus I always feel like someday someone could snatch my phone from bike plus the biggest issue is dust on phone so I was looking for a watch with maps may be this is going to help me a lot.. i also use tap and pay on my phone but on watch it would be fun

I use a mi band 5 as my daily driver. it does not take 10mins to detect a walk. 100-300meters of walk is more than enough for it to detect and vibrate, can take less time if you enable automatic heart monitor and sleep tracking. it detects the walking motion hand movement and in a minute or 2 you will have your band vibrate to let you know if you want to record your workout. press ok and all done. galaxy watch should have settings to do such as well.
Someone bought a galaxy watch 6 lte 40mm for me from Dubai Duty Free, When I turned on the watch for the first time and try to setup language and region, I m surprised to see that India region is not available to select. Any idea how I can select my India region, Would I get broader region options after I pair this up with my phone?

RBI didn't approve tokenisation of smart devices up until 2022. Hence, these features are coming now in India..

Yeah, thanks to watch 6's lauch got my watch 4 classic 46mm LTE for jus 12k with bank discount.
does the same thing watch 6 does and would still recieve every wear OS update for the next 2 years. aside from battery rest are only minor upgrades Not worth the extra 30k on watch 6.

Got Watch 6 LTE and can confirm that there is no overheating problem even after 25 min call on LTE.
Watch 4 LTE used to overheat and go to flight mode just after 3 min call

I believe they announced somewhere that it'll come to the previous watches the second half.
It should come because the watch 4/5 already have the hardware requirements. The only problem could be approval issue with the Indian government.
@@vibhanshuchaudhari7784 RBI recently approved tokenisation of watches in around 2022. Before that, in India watches or smart devices aren't approved to make bank payments.
I have like us version of watch 4 classic and my s23 ultra but the problem is that samsung wallet on my phone is region locked so I am not able to access the indian version of samsung wallet.
Update : GW4 classic supports Samsung Pay on the latest WearOS

My watch 4 classic display broke on its own. It started to flicker and now it's completely unusable. Now that it's about 20 months old I guess I will have to pay out of my pocket for the screen replacement but things breaking on their own without user error is kinda messed up. I'm gonna wait and see what Samsung says officially. But I'm really heartbroken. The watch was really nice. Didn't expect this. And no I don't use it in the rain. 😐

Exchange can be done only with an old phone. i.e. old Galaxy watch can't be exchanged.

Prateek i understand that it's a collab with samsung but u compared watch 6 and watch 6 classic to 2 year old device i:e watch 4 series. Should have compared the 6 classic with 5 pro and then it will be clear that it's a downgrade.
The watch 5 pro material is made of titanium where as 6 classic is made of SS. The watch 5 pro battery is 590 Mah where as the 6 classic battery is 425Mah.
Baki sabhi galaxy watch series starting with watch 4 series mai ECG and BP monitor is disabled in India.
Tap to pay is a good feature but bcos of this the watch has to be unlocked each and every time to do other basic things then it's pain and of no use , might as well take out your phone and do it.

We didn't compared the Watch 6 classic with Watch 4 classic cuz a comparison should be done within a same series or a line-up as after Watch 4 series they released the classic variant with the Watch 6 series.
Also we found it not suitable to compare the Watch 6 Classic to Watch 5 Pro because of
1) The Price difference- The price of Watch 6 Classic and the Watch 5 Pro isn't the same. The watch 5 Pro (Still selling officially from Rs 44,999) costs more than the Watch 6 Classic (Starts from Rs 36,999)
2) Specs- In the specs you only noticed that the battery capacity of Watch 5 Pro is higher than the Watch 6 Classic but have a look at these things which are better
There is an improvement in the Processor(The clock speed of watch 5 Pro is 1.18 GHz whereas Watch 6 Classic has 1.4 GHz), RAM(1.5 Gigs in watch 5 pr and 2 gigs in Watch 6 Classic) and there are 2 more sensors in Watch 6 Classic's compared to watch 5 Pro.
Also the Classic series's build material are of Stainless Steel only.
So from these were the points of us not comparing the Watch 6 Classic to Watch 5 Pro
