Fuse 39 powers the injectors and the coils. The first thought is that the upgraded coils are causing the problem, but according to the manufacturer's website, the precision raceworks coils actually draw less amperage compared to stock. It's possible there's a defective coil with lower than normal resistance drawing more current than designed. You would need an amp clamp and a scope then check each coil to see how much current it's drawing Short circuit is also possible, and with projects like these it's bound to happen. Injector(s) over-current or wiring short is technically also possible, but I've never heard of it. Although the injectors don't have the best track record in reliability..
+Dan.vaku thank you this is very useful information. I have to look further into the problem and trace all wires, I have an idea as to where the problem could be, but we’ll see
Looks good, I thought the same thing when I installed the two little BMS cowl filters. I kept the whole setup just in case I came across something on the forums. Bravo my man
My bets are on the fuse being related to the upgraded ignition, unfortunately. Definitely check to see if any wires are loose or making contact when they shouldn’t be. When it’s running try jiggling the wires and see if it pops the fuse. Good luck man, cowl looks great!
The coils actually have less draw on the electrical system because they have a longer dwell time. Go to precisionraceworks website and you can read the explanations as to why that is.
You know witch fuse blows so put your multimeter leads between the fuse points and wiggle the wires you suspect are perhaps give a problem for a short to ground. With running engine off corse and look ad the multimeter how mutch amps and it it's changes in amps.
You could try a “megger” if you haven’t already. Disconnect all the components in the circuit (very important) and a megohmeter is designed to put enough volts that a slight chafe or short will show when a regular meter won’t catch it. Test voltages range from 250/500 volts. Don’t let the voltage scare you, there’s very little amperage behind it. Think electric fence:)
question @ 6:50 "sensor" i know there is two. one on passenger side, one on driver side. if I am not mistaken ,from my understanding one goes to the factory alarm (please correct me if I'm wrong) and the other goes too what???
I believe passenger side sensor is for air quality which would be used for auto air recirculation mode. I'm guessing driver side sensor is temperature but don't know for certain

I ordered some cheap eBay red vinyl and did the LCI mod. You essentially cut out a piece shaped like the turn signal white strip and put it on similar to putting headlight overlays on. I made an easy cut-out by outlining it first with green painters tape, then using blue painters tape over the green painters tape. I then remove all the tape off (In one whole piece) and cut the trace out with a scissor. Lay it on top of the vinyl wrap, cut out the shape and easy peasy. I did it with no experience with some heat, water bottle, and patience!
Did you replace your n54 PR Coils to N55 PR coils? The N55 PR Coils are supposed to be 'relocation' coils to allow for them not to be close to single turbos. And they are compatible with both N54 and N55.
Maybe you can run the coils to a relay to soak any over draw they may have I'm like you though thinking maybe a short some where related to that rather large turbo you have there lol
what did you mean at the beginning in the video that you dont like "these things sticking out" are you talking about the wiring that'd be exposed? did u want to mod & keep the cowl for like a roof over the wiring? could you explain your thought process on that please im curious. awesome vids btw bro. love from canada.
