Firecrackers work alright on it, but your best bet is let it get hit with firecrackers, then while it's reared up, get behind it. Then just chase the bastard down and give it a sprinting slash in the butt now and then. It's slow, but your damage taken will be lessened if you don't mind a cheesy way to take it down. Fantastic fucking game!

My hottest take with this game is I like the other Owl fight more. This was a really cool boss fight, but I actually beat this Owl quicker because I was so experienced at this point. “That’s…my boy..” also made me tear up a little bit because the game had just recognized my hard work. 😅
Its the cat in the tree that never gets caught nor taken down not to mention cats are more flexible, fast and more skilled than an owl you might want to try a better line lol
An Owl that you can actually deal posture damage to because he actually attacks you instead of hitting you once or twice and then jumping across the arena? I'm in.

Thing is a lot of people compare Sekiro combat to Elden Ring and think Elden Ring combat is the same as other souls games. In other souls games bosses don't spam that much. Instead they attack at the perfect moment with the perfect attack.
To be fair sekiro has one of the best boss dynamics, first game teach us perry mechanism against boss like genichiro and when we become comfortable, it straight out throws dark Souls boss (demon of hatred)... Don't know about blood borne cause I haven't played it.

This was honestly one of the easier ones. The only hard boss in the game I’d say was Isshin Sword Saint tbh. Also OP I’ve played this game numerous times and don’t recognize the skills you’re using or the skin..? lmao
Mastering the combat in this game was so satisfying, for me it clicked after beating that lightning dude on top the temple with the bow, took me several tries and rages but once I beat him, I felt like i could take on anyone
