      Well, not everyone is born knowing. There are very few people that know how to do that without years of lessons. A lot of these riders are very advanced. And a lot of simple falls that people are like, “ohh, they should have done this or that” with are actually very hard falls that can be very difficult to ride and deal with. I agree with your opinion though, because riders need a very good foundation before moving into fences/jumps.

      She needed to loosen the contact. I’ve worked with only so many horses that can get “stuck” like that and what I do is basically drop all contact and grab a piece of mane so that I’m still having something yet I also talk to the horse in a calm voice. I know it’s not the best way and yes I have other methods but it works in emergency’s and I find it very useful.

    How long are you going to let those feet grow on that pony?

    • @abigray8585
      @abigray8585 2 года назад

      It’s literally a rescue animal, the farrier is doing as much as he or she can.
      A rescue animal could have gone through abuse or neglect and they may be fearful of people.
      Also you don’t want to stress an animal out or make it panic (that could cause it to see things as negatives).

      The owner already commented it was a lesson kid that was petting him and giving treats not the owner she wasn’t there at the time. The pony also can’t get his hooves trimmed fully as it is an rescue and the farrier did what was good for the pony.

      That’s not fair!!! If you’re so good then how come you don’t have any falls and any back story? Also, you’d get more respect if you used proper English… just saying. We all make mistakes and no one is the Equestrian World is perfect or doesn’t fall off. I don’t consider a rider an equestrian until they fall off and get the hell back on.
