The DMH-160BT is a 6.8" Digital Media Receiver with optional wireless remote control. It features hands-free Bluetooth®, interfaces with Android Auto™, Apple CarPlay®. This Receiver is also SiriusXM Ready and Back-Up Camera Ready. This receiver also features Android Auto, which extends the Android platform into the car in a way that’s purpose-built for driving. Android Auto automatically brings you useful information and organizes it into simple cards that appear just when they’re needed. It’s designed to minimize distraction so you can stay focused on the road ahead.
Bought this for my wife's car. The radio she had was an older JVC with no bluetooth. She didn't want anything fancy, just bluetooth and a touch screen like my AVIC-8000Nex, so we went to Walmart and got this for $260. Install was pretty straight forward. I have the micro Bypass on order. This is an entry level touch screen radio with only 2v RCA output, but pack a with lots of features. Android Auto work flawlessly. My AVIC-8000Nex doesn't have Android Auto and I was stun how cool it is. I might need to upgrade my AVIC-8000Nex to their new NEX flagship. .
Did you also notice an issue with the backup camera? I am having an issue with mine, but I am also not getting any voltage out of the camera that the tech support says I should see.

You can lower the volume control in settings
Hi came across this video I have a pioneer radio myself if you go in to the setting then speakers scroll down to speaker settings you can set each speaker to adjust the main volume evan the subwoofer good luck
If your Hummer has the bose system which I'm assuming it does can't blame the radio for the 1% volume being to loud....it's going through the factory amp before the speakers
I wanna purchase this but heard they get a blank white screen or grey once in a while . Anybody have that happened before .

You have the volume settings that will help with the radio u can also tweek the speaker settings ..but i have the same radio and mines doesnt have that problem...could be that i just got it so maybe there is a update somewere
I just bought what I thought was this radio yesterday. I just opened the box and the wires were taped as if someone already installed it. So I pulled the radio out of the box and the tag on the radio says 130bt. It’s not even the correct radio. Headed back to Walmart after work. 🤦🏻

This would be the first touch screen I have used. Not sure what to get yet, but it seems to get one with capacitive touch and support gps is pricey. This seems to be the cheapest capacitive screen.
How's the bluetooth call quality? Does the quality sound like cell phone from the 2010's? Or does it sound as clear as it does when you hold your phone to your ear?
I'm not sure about Carplay, but even when connected to Android Auto with USB, it still uses Bluetooth for phone calls. Another way to test if the sound quality drops is to call someone, then start playing music. If the music sounds worse, then phone call also sounds worse.

Good review. I installed same unit yesterday. Rear camera will only come on if I push camera view button and shift to reverse, not automatic. Any idea what I did wrong?
Did hook your camera to rear way bulbs ??
Cut the purple wire in back of radio splice it to the red wire coming from yellow aux cord then in the back of the vehicle connect red cord from yellow aux and 12v red power cord from red aux cord both to your reverse lamp wire then ground the black wire then it should work when shifting into reverse
You didn't wire the reverse trigger wire to the radio to tell the radio to switch the camera on in reverse
How do you connect the mirroring on the radio?
They have a mirroring app I believe
How do you get the Apple car play working? Mine just work the radio and the phone
I paid $240 for mine, just wish I knew how to adjust the bass and treble..
You can lower that more in the settings.
Did you hook up the brake wire for videos ,or did you do a bypass?

I believe you need to plug it into the usb

Do you have an amp? Caus if you do and the gains turned up that’s why the volume is so loud
Cd? SD? Expanded memory? What can you tell me about those?
How did you get your apple CarPlay to work?
I tried installing this radio but it only turns on when red and yellow are together, what am I doing wrong ?
Connect them together or your radio fuse is burned out on car
@@snoopstmhI ended up by passing it, just tapped into the fuse box with a fuse adapter
How do u change the background pic using a usb? I just tried it and it said unsupport usb device???
Hi, You have to format your usb drive to FAT32 format in order for the head unit to recognized the drive

Somebody said u just had to format the usb, well I gave it to my wife and asked her to format it, she just plugged it In and hit format and it still didn’t work, so then I looked it up even more and realized u have to format it to that specific name, lol and then it worked perfect!
It’s a nice radio but this is not their “Flagship” radio
It’s because it’s an aftermarket so it has to send the code that your in reverse and send that code to the camera for it to turn on
