I got that timu scanning tool and it's not picking up two issues that I have come up on my dash. I would say it is a bit of a hit and miss with that one. You may get lucky and it will work for you, it's not working on my car though.

I have a E46 320d. The OBD “Carly” shows me 7 codes, and 4 of them are important ones like airbag…But this piece of shit only shows me 2 and there are not even important(just shows a/c blower). Imagine going to buy a car and look after fault codes with Temu’s obd… I would buy a car with 0 faulty codes but in reality it has hard ones. Wasted money

For the avg driver the $20 reader is a thing of convenience. Once most people get the code they get someone else to repair it, if that’s you? Why even spend the $20? All the parts stores will read it for free. If you are a DIY you would still benefit from free reads by the parts places, unless you are constantly working on your car or friends cars, then a good scanner can save you valuable time in diagnosing and making repairs. If you are a professional, you already have a collection of scanners as some do better with certain makes. I keep a couple of OBII Handheld scanners. I’ve bought them at TEMU for less than $15 same scanners on Amazon for $50. I keep one in each vehicle, but there is no replacement for the scanners if you consistently work on cars. It would be like comparing an adjustable wrench to a master tool set. Bottom line it comes down to what you are gonna use it for. FYI a lot of people are under the impression that if you erase the codes the problem is fixed. The computers all talk to each other, when something gets out of tolerance it triggers a code, the check engine light comes on to alert you that there is a problem and it needs repair. Driving it after erasing the codes is only damaging your engine, transmission and or computers. People will spend thousands for a car, but skip or extend oil changes. Oil is the life of your car. You want your car to last? Run good oil and change it every 3,000 miles. Even synthetic! They say you can go 5,000, 10,000 and more, but you are making a huge investment in a car, don’t be cheap, change the oil and run good gasoline. Don’t be cheap, the repairs won’t be I promise…

The humming is a ground issue the stereo resetting is also a ground issue check your wiring and everything the volume won't go up when on reverse with the camera you can remove that feature by bypassing the park wire by self grounding it

The $580 difference is the Bi-directional control. Apples to oranges buddy. The $20 reader is just a reader, the Autel is a diagnostic tool. The $20 reader is what I would give to one of my customers if there was an intermittent issue, they can scan and record the code for me. I would throw that one in my wife or kids car. My Autel used to travel everywhere I went, now I use an Otofix D1. Much cheaper to own with most of the same control.

But you can also buy a sub 200 xtool scanner which also has bidirectional function… I have xtool and autel and both have bidirectional functions and read bcm pretty well

I was driving on freeway and all sudden my abs, Trak control light, the check engine code flashing. now power like I was towing 20 vehicles and hard shifting. Any ideas why this happens 2013 chevy avalancche 5.3. From what I read online this is issues with these trucks. any ideas why this happens .

Mine i replaced pedal throttle body injection system purge system o2s and kept getting a pedal code i cleaned grounds buy drivers door and for body to engine and still did it put fuel pump i threw everything at it and the issue was so stupid simple and over looked i hope that this helps the battery had a dead cell and the ecm pcm bcm one of them detected that but gave a pedal code why no clue replaced battery runs like normal what a journey

That thing is super low end. If you need something, it works but i wouldnt get it for my car

I must be missing something. For the life of me I can't get mine off. The cut out around the bar isn't big enough to get a socket and extension on. I tried pulling it back and I can't get it back enough to get on it. I haven't even tried to look at the bottom ones on each side. I'm trying to figure out how to get the L bracket off that goes through the bumper. I can see the nut , but there's no way to get on the bolt head that I can see. I'm open to any advice!

Autel 100% wins in my books as its capable of doing so much more than some cheap reader. You get what you pay for.

Muy buen video. La diferencia de $20 y $600 es que con el de $20 sólo puedes leer y borra códigos y sólo tiene acceso al ECM o computadora del motor. Con el Autel puedes hacer eso mimo y además podras hacer algunos servicios especiales en otros módulos y active test (probar algunos actuadores) Saludos desde Tampa, Florida.

I want to buy an expensive Autel tester to get rid of my Autel md808pro. The reason i want a new one is because the one i have doesn't support anything in almost every car i tried it. It says it can do a lot, but it never supports any car. Is this different with the special features?
