      Great video ! It would be good to know how much the BaaS rental cost you per hour and per that trip so one gets the overall comparison. It would also be awesome to show how it compares to ICE vehicles. (I'm new to your channel so apologies if you have this already covered elsewhere)

    My explanation for why the EL6 is cheaper than the Tesla Model Y. I think the correct comparison is the Tesla Model y Performance, because there is less than a 0.3 second difference in actual acceleration. But for the sake of the example, we will be conservative and choose the long-range version, which is hard to call sporty but not terrible. So we chose the long range, 20 inch rims, nio's most beautiful color is standard so we will also add white color, now we have arrived at autonomous driving which is standard for nio (actually Nio has twice as many sensors) so we will add full autonomous driving, and the final price is 66 thousand euros. Just a guarantee that your battery will forever be in a state of maximum health, 150 kilowatts of free electricity, two replacements, and that the vehicle is really ready for autonomy and does not need to be plugged in every so often. That alone is worth 170 euros per month, so the price of the rally is 52 thousand euros, but then we have a problem, the range of the long-range y model is 533 kilometers, while the range of the nio is 406 kilometers, (for the sake of conservatism I will ignore the fact that the range (The Nio's actual is closer to the WLTP range than the Tesla) Since the Nio has upgrades on a daily basis it turns out that you need the big battery less than 20 percent of the time, and with a battery change, 80 percent of the time with that big battery is saved, Therefore, the price of the larger battery must be added to the price minus the price of the dividend of the smaller battery by 5. So 21 minus 12 equals 9 divided by five gives 1.8, rounded up to two thousand euros. So, it turns out that the price of the equivalent version is 54 thousand euros compared to 66 thousand euros with Tesla. But they are not exactly parallel. Because nio is much better.

    Nice video, I run a Nio ES6 (EL6 in Europe) in China, I know German electricity is expensive having lived in Mannheim 2010-2014 but a bit shocked to hear it is 4.48x the price I pay in China for home charging. Winter energy cost/100km running at 18-20CNY (€2.33-2.6). Summer costs 13CNY/100km (€1.7) all for city driving max 100km/hr

    NIO is going to expand into Europe in 2024/25 in a big way, the Tech in these cars is amazing but they have to expand the Battery swap stations to enable more people to buy these vehichles. I think that at present they only have about 10 swap stations in Germany which has to be increased as soon as possible and that is what i am waiting for before i oder my NIO 😍. Thanks for the video and i am sure you had great fun driving and hope you kept NOMI speaking 😂

    The battery swap is not “free”… the swap action itself is free, but the subscription is extremely expensive. Leasing rate of the Nio with the battery swap option is a 4 digits number… the battery swap costs 289 euro/month, plus the car

    • @Automann-TV
      @Automann-TV  11 месяцев назад +9

      Nope, the battery swap isn’t 289 but the battery subscription is. Which means you don’t pay the 21.000 EUR for the battery as a one-time payment.

    • @Redsquirrel007
      @Redsquirrel007 11 месяцев назад +2

      @@Automann-TV if you did pay 21.000 eur for the battery, the real price of the car would be over 75.000 eur, which basically kills it commercially. Whos going to buy an unknown Chinese car for so much money. Plenty of more affordable and recognizable European brands. The entire Chinese brands EV strategy is based on cheap offer with plenty of electronic gadgets inside a nice looking body shape. Forcing European manufacturers to change their approach and try to offer affordable EVs (see Stellantis new models across brands, or Tesla again slashing prices). This price “as of”, but then add 289/month or 21.000 euro, looks like a fake Ryanair price. Compare total ownership costs. If you prepay a carnet with ten entrances to a movie or buy a subscription to an activity, it is true that you dont pay on the spot for each visti, BUT IT IS NOT “FREE”. Misleading commercial offer

    Great experiment, but i would like to point out that you still would pay for the actual kWh which was in the battery you swapped. The swap is free and will normally cost you 10€, but unless Nio also paid for the 100kWh in the new battery, a normal customer would have to pay that, so the trip will minimum cost the price for the total consumption, right?

      Phones has smaller battery so it doesn’t take too long to charge and you can find access to outlets anywhere. It’s different when it comes to driving you want to get to your destination quick as possible without waiting to charge. You have to wait to charge enough energy to get to your destination which takes 30 min to an hour. When swapping takes 3-5 minutes for a fully charged battery and your back in the road so you don’t have to wait.

    First off, you charged for 29,60€, thats not 25€.
    2. You charged more than 100KWh.. Every electric car that you charge with AC has power losses. Neo has some quite big ones, about 20%. So its 120kWh = 35,52€
    3. How about you tell your viewers that the battery service costs 289€ per month!? In germany the annual mileage is about 13.000km, so you would use the battery swap service about 29x times a year (probably less because of charging at home) that would cost you 119€ per charge at this rate.

    I really don't get how can someone objectively choose an EV over modern hybrid/combustion cars based on consumption, which usually is the main argument used by sellers of EV's.
    On a modern combustion car you would have a consumption of around 4,5-5L/100km for a similar drive at constant speed on the Autobahn, which would be around 25-40 eur for these 450km (according to which EU country you live in, and its respective gas price).
    On the other hand, with this EV it's already >80 eur, because the 29 eur are only valid now while EV seller is temporarily covering part of your costs.
    So basically you pay twice for the consumption.
    And with the combustion car you wouldn't have the need to stop at all for such distance.
    With an EV you will be driving with anxiety, as soon as you need to drive more than 100km.
    What if you have an emergency and there are no stations around you? You cannoy bring the charge station or a full battery pack with you, while on the other hand you can bring a bottle with gas.
    What if the battery swap station doesn't work some days? It's a very complex mechanism, as the video shows. So the chances of something needing a repair on a regular basis are way higher than a simple gas pump.
    And so many more questions... And don't forget that this costs and mileages are NOW, while everything is brand new. Just after 5-10 years of use, these battery packs and stations will be a nightmare for EV owners.
    Simplicity always beats complexity in the long run. The level of complexity to recharge and be able to use this car is simply absurd.
    You are better off taking the bus than buying an EV.

      4,5-5L/100km at 200 km/h , more like 12 or 14L/Km , charging at home at night costs me 2 eur/100 km, and you still have the option to install solar pannels if you have a home. But if you can´t charge at home, i wouldn´t buy one too.

      Check the last part of the video. 450km and 3,25h equals to 138km/h average speed for the full drive. Not 200.

      I don't know where you got the 80 Euro for 450 Kilometres. That's only true if you have 40 kWh per 100 Kilometres, that's much more than you'll ever do even on German Autobahns. And the 5 liter per 100 Kilometres is not achieved at high speeds like 200 kmhr.
