The cleric Anwar al-Awlaki was killed in Yemen on Sept. 30, 2011. Anwar's 16-year-old son was killed in another drone strike two weeks laters."If the United States government gave me concrete evidence against Anwar, I would have done my best to convince Anwar to come to Sana'a or to go even to the United States to face a trial. But it was only allegations," al-Awlaki says, noting he believes the United States could have easily captured him alive. We also speak with Anwar's uncle, Saleh bin Fareed, a Yemeni sheikh and tribal leader. "I am sure I could have handed him over -- me and my family -- but they never, ever asked us to do that," Fareed says. The story of the al-Awlakis is featured prominently in the new documentary film opening today, "Dirty Wars: The World Is a Battlefield," directed by Richard Rowley and written by Jeremy Scahill and David Riker.

But I beg to differ based on the following:
: "FOR SUFICIENT ARE WE UNTO THEE AGAINST THOSE WHO SCOFF" 15:95
The above verse (15:95) must have been reveled to the the Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) - after the incident mentioned in the video "The spirit of the Sahaba/.
The verse clearly shows that "Allah" is sufficient to take care of matter to do with the scoffing of the Prophet - as such, to carries out such an act NOW is committing the act of "SHIRK" . as it amounts to taking God's authority in man's hand.
The raw truth is that no Muslim or a group is authorized to get physical in matters to do with the scoffing of the Prophet (PBUH) - for Allah has taken upon Himself to deal with such matters.
Allah know's well that if he gave us humans the task to take care of such matters we would go on a killing streak as various incidents have proved.
The American government is stupid in thinking that drone strikes would solve these issues - they need to first let people live their own lives and should know that the only way to get rid of terrorism is to encourage Muslim scholars to preach the rule of Allah and that is Compassion and Mercy towards each other.

I see why they went after Anwar but even so I think they could have easily capture him he was not a real commander as I see this guy was more like a preacher (arrested many times for no real reason and it pushed him to the edge) but to kill his son too I think thats wrong. I just don't see why they need to be violent? Violence will not solve any issue in fact when they killed Anwar they just created 100 more. Dialog, peace that is the only way forward. History will be harsh on these guys they miserably failed and created a very insecure environment for the future generations.

In Saudi I discovered an Islamic Soviet Union, teaming with religious police who enforce veiling of women and observance Islamic prayers. Reread the convention(s). There are more than one. He was an enemy combatant because he was part of their organization and supported it by his actions. The field of battle is global. No legal obligation exists to confine strikes to armed combatants. Every enemy personnel in any capacity is a lawful target, as are supporting organizations, industries and infrastructure. You wogs love making shit up. It's lawful to bomb enemy factories, enemy transportation, and enemy support.

I am a Muslim. I disagree with the way Anwar and his son were killed, but Anwar was asking for it. Anwar knew better. He knew how the Us government works he took that risk and he we are today. As for Anwars son. I am deeply saddened. He didn't deserve to die that and may Allah grant him Jannah, but Anwar will have a lot of explaining to do on the day of Judgement.
