  • 🧚‍♀️ Welcome Back! you know the drill - choose 1080p or higher for better viewing :)
    HI! I’m frances and I do unboxing and review for all things tech! Most of them are bought for pure happiness and some are collaboration from talented companies. Enjoy this video with me!
    All product links will be provided below and don’t forget to leave me comments, do hit the subscribe and like button and of course ENJOY!
    ☁️ Personal insights about the product:
    As a content creator, Illustrator, casual gamer and someone with a fast paced workflow this is a purchase worth every penny. It took my sometime to adjust from a curved monitor into a flat one but it wasn’t an issue, I just understood better why most wide monitors are curved. For better review here’s a few points to take note of:
    1. 27 inch: It isn’t big enough for most users but since I already have a 13 inch macbook, the extra display helps a ton. So much space for multiple tabs and browsers and it even allows me to edit my videos or watch random videos while working. If you plan on using this monitor as your main display while your laptop is folded, I’d advise you to rethink how big of a screen you need and it also depends on what you’ll use it for.
    2. Manual Adjustments: I like how you can plug it through HDMI to your daily driver but it also gives you the option to manually adjust it’s own settings. Unlike most monitors that you just plug as an external display and gives what it can and displays the same specs it can get from you main computer. Along with it’s features of eye care technology, freesync or just adjust colors and brightness to your liking is a big help for me.
    3. Better ergonomics: Who needs a monitor arm when the stand itself can give you a lot of options for angle and viewing. Saves you money from purchasing a monitor arm! And the option to be a vertical display is awesome. I’m actually tempted to buy another monitor so I can have a vertical display lmao next time, when I hit 1K subscribers!!
    4. The Flat Design: Aside from the angles and viewing options, having a flat design gives you the possibility if you do intend to buy another monitor to accompany it. You can simply put it side by side and voila! A seamless view with no annoying big bezels.
    But as usual, take what you can ask questions if you want to know more!! For me and with my budget, this is great purchase and investment knowing that it’s a Samsung brand. Whatcha think?

    hey had a few doubts about this monitor
    1) are the colours good enough for graphic designing?
    2) is the text sharp and clear with Macbook at 2k resolution (wanted to buy it for coding)
    3) any issues with the monitor
    would you recommend it to someone who wants this for coding and designing?

    • @francesetup
      @francesetup  5 месяцев назад +7

      Hi thanks for the questions!
      1. I haven't done any intensive graphic design except for canva, editing my illustrations and for color-grading and sometimes I'd have to view my works from my laptop screen to double check if the colors are accurate enough and i'd say the colors are close enough! The screen has a matte finish so it dulls out the brightness of the colors a bit but not to the point it gives out a dramatic difference esp in tones, hues etc. The monitor doesn't go as bright as a Macbook Pro can but i'm surprised it doesn't compromise the colors of my work that much.
      2. Depending on how small your font size is, I'd say it's sharp and clear. I'm an Analyst and I haven't found any problem with reading text especially over black backgrounds. As for the resolution, It definitely can accommodate 2K resolution (the monitor itself is 2560 x 1440 in QHD ) and can play 4K youtube videos with a slight difference. Still the only problem we have with this is the brightness the monitor can provide. It's not really as bright as the max for a macbook. I haven't found myself having trouble with reading default text.
      3. 5 months since I've gotten this monitor and I still have to find something to complain about apart from the brightness, I did hope it could've been more brighter. It's nothing too serious but if you need it to be exactly how a Macbook screen would provide for your graphic designs and colors on a max brightness I'd say go for an imac or a monitor with a higher resolution. As for coding, I don't think you'd have any issues with it.
      I used to have a 27" curve monitor and my only issue with that is not getting used to the flat screen. But all-in-all still no issues for me as my monitor working from home with a variety of work and creativity! Hope this helps and feel free to ask me more questions!

    • @francesetup
      @francesetup  5 месяцев назад +5

      1. There's a slight difference in color if you're comparing it to a Macbook screen. I think the matte finish of the screen dulls the brightness a bit which also affects the colors of illustrations etc. I don't do intensive graphic designing except for using Canva, previewing my illustrations and color-grading videos. And with that in mind there's no dramatic difference in color literally just dulls it a bit. I also think having no glare on the monitor gives a different view on the colors. I sometimes review my works on my laptop screen after working on it on the monitor to see if there's a BIG difference in colors, there isn't much. Just take note that it couldn't get as bright as a Macbook screen on max brightness. I guess it's to lessen eye-strain as well.
      2. As for text, definitely sharp and clear. The monitor is 2560 x 1440 which is basically 2K in QHD. It could also play 4K youtube videos but definitely with a slight difference. I'm an Analyst and I do have to read a lot when it comes to my work and I haven't found myself struggling reading or typing especially on black backgrounds and don't think it would be a struggle for colored text.
      3. Aside from the brightness that I mentioned, I don't have any issues with the monitor especially while having it for around 5 months now. I used to have a 27" curve monitor and that was a bit adjustment for me considering this is flat but it's been a great experience for me as I use it to work from home.
      If I recommend it? For coding yes, the screen is crisp and sharp. For designing... with my experience with digital illustration, video editing and occasionally gaming I would say that if it's not a huge problem for you to double check the accuracy of the colors from your monitor to your macbook from time to time just to be sure, then it would be okay. I'd definitely recommend this especially if you're on a specific budget and want a particular screen size with great specs. Just remember that it's not as bright as a macbook can go. It's enough for me but for professional use and if you have a flexible budget I think it's better for you to see it in person at stores or go for the higher-end (I think they released a new one). It is advertised for graphic designing and creativity (reason why I bought it) and it exceeded my expectations especially when gaming but checking it out in stores wouldn't hurt.
      Hope this helps!!

      @@francesetup how am I gonna put the HDMI 2 to my PC cable?

    • @francesetup
      @francesetup  20 дней назад

      @@FurkiOfficial-u7o There’s only 2 HDMI ports and 1 DisplayPort available on the monitor, you should easily find it. If your PC does not have an HDMI or Displayport you’d have to buy an adapter (if your PC still has the VGA ones, you can get an adapter for that) or if it does, you can just use the HDMI cord provided along with the monitor.

    • @francesetup
      @francesetup  2 месяца назад +1

      @@arun2686 In my opinion, 27 inch is an adequate screen size (including screen ratio and resolution) if you’re planning on using it as your main monitor. With my workflow that requires multiple tabs open or whenever I want to play games, It’s the perfect size for me especially that I only keep my laptop docked or as a secondary screen for apps that I wouldn’t frequently use during work hours. As for my desk, it sits perfectly in the middle and gives me enough screen space for apps, games, and videos.
      I think 24 inch monitors are best for tight desk spaces or if you’re setting it up with a second monitor, or you simply want a slightly bigger screen for your PC or a secondary for a laptop . I don’t think there’s a 25 inch… so far (google) there’s 21.5 - 24 - 27 - 32 etc.
      Screen sizes depend on what capacity you want it for, gaming? Simple work? Heavy editing/rendering? As well as the ratio and resolution it’s supposed to have and what quality you want for it to come out with~ My sister has a 32 inch and I wouldn’t recommend it as a desk-work monitor because it’s too big and overwhelming. She uses it for games or as a smart TV and rarely uses it as a secondary monitor for work.

      There’s really nothing much to ‘set up’ on the monitor once it’s plugged in. You can either adjust the brightness to your preferred setting or if the colors came out wrong, the manual or google can be a huge help than relying on my video because I didn’t do any extensive configurations to it at all. I just plugged my monitor to my laptop and to power it up.

    is this good for coding or reading and also how bright is the screen as bright as macbook?

    • @francesetup
      @francesetup  16 дней назад

      Hi! I've had a question before if it's good for coding and I think it does. I'm not quite familiar with the interface when coding but the fonts are crips, there's no blurriness when viewing paragraphs of texts and the colors of the screen are balanced enough. It's made for designers (as marketed) and so far I don't have any issues when viewing my artworks or when I have to do my work.
      For example, I have my safari in dark mode so opening up youtube and with it's dark theme I can still see all texts and colors clearly so I do think it's not a problem for coding.
      As for brightness, it's definitely bright enough. I have no other monitors to compare it to but it typcally has 300nits of brightness with 200 minimum (in specs) while my macbook pro 2020 M1 13 inch maxes out at 500 nits of brightness. The macbook definitely is much brighter considering its smaller screen and display quality.
      I have no problem when playing my games (I really love the colors and quality it displays) connected to my switch or using it as a second monitor for my macbook. I tried my best to select the display setting as close as it gets to my laptop screen but i do have to double check on my laptop when viewing my artworks for accuracy. But for what it's worth, It gets the job done and i'm still happy about it's performance and the consistency of it's quality after 10 months of having it.
      I do believe there are newer models after this and you can always look for specs to make sure it's up to your expectations of if it's within the range of something that you'd want to have. I hope this helps!

    • @francesetup
      @francesetup  16 дней назад

      I actually pulled my brightness level to 65 cos it's too bright even during day time and I just usually max it out to 100 if I'm playing games to reduce eye-strain so I think that's something to take note of.
