I did similar challenge with venezuela but Using expert ai and without any alliance. I suggest you to try this. If u join axis is not lux conquest the world but germany and luxemburg do that. The real challenger is to come out alone from early game to reach 1944-1945 where if u did well your little country should be able to fight any big country. If u take help with alliance in early game this challenge lost lot of pleasure to did it

I dont play Hoi4, I do watch it but I know like nothing about it, why is the US so weak (in terms of when you were invading them)? they were already the largest economic power by WWI and were debatably already the strongest by WWII
they were still probably recovering from the great depression debuffs and they probably were not ready for a war that early so the ai didn't have that many troops deployed until it was to late
