4 years ago the X1Cs were the best by magnitudes of order. Like comparing the bronze age to the industeial age. But now? Not a single thing special about them. Except maybe their obsession with apple-izing their company, making everything proprietary, subscription based, locked down, spied on and highly regulated. I mean, what could possibly be more secure than a chinese communist party cloud server? Your personal home network? Psshhh you crazy misinformation spreaders. Shut up, consume product, and get excited for next product we totally wont strip features from. Because we super CCP pinky promise.

As always though, just a perfect video of nothing but the info that a targeted question is about with a lot of answers for free...
Personally glad to see the Creality K1 Max show up in this video, as it's the only one from this video that I have personally seen run. I DEFINITELY think that one is a perfect starting place for anyone that hasn't used anything but Bambu. They are all I have personally used so far, but I've been looking at the K1 Max because of what I know it can do and all the similarities to Bambu and all of that.

My biggest complaint with K1 Max is it won't detect filament jams. Also I've already had to replace the feed tube going into the extruder on two of them within a month of using them. Even unfilled filament eventually cuts the very tight bend in the tube. I've replaced them with reputable sources of PTFE tubing and we'll see if they hold up better.

I’m looking forward to the video you make if you decide to make a video.

The leaning curve is just minimal and stream-lined. I literally treat my Bambu printers as “home appliances” No headaches. This channel is one that really motivated me to get into 3D printing and appreciate all the content... My two cents on what to by is most of these printers are far from unbox and print not even talking about the basic assembly with most the bed slingers ... Now that I have four printers after just a year into this I've had problems with all of them both my Elegoo Neptune 3 Plus and Creality 3 v3 SE have need a new system board due to failure with SD card readers and I should point out that Elegoo has much better customer service but each company did send a replacement board free under warranty and can't emphasize enough about correctly setting z-offset per instructions but take it a step further and print just one layer square about the size of your bed and fine-tune z up or down to get a solid layer that can pull off cold or even hot without pulling apart this applies to my two printers listed above along with an Elegoo Giga...I could go on and on but I must finish by saying that I have not had to level my Bambu A1 or due z offset at all but there are plenty of other issues you can run into that cause failed prints.... Believe it or not I'm still enjoying them all.

Have you ever checked a QIDI Printer? Qidi X-Max3 seems a great alternative to K1 Max and the smaller Qidis to the other K1 confectioned sizes.

Good luck. I have 2 Xmax3's collecting dust in the warehouse for months because Qidi won't cover it under warranty and they also won't sell me the parts. I'm not the only one either, I think another RUclipsr had the same thing happen.

I got a Creality K1 max based you your early reviews. Really happy with it. Still learning but it’s a great first printer.

This is great timing. I've been printing off of a ender 3 for the past 3 years and desperately need something more efficient with better quality and bigger volume

So glad to see you talking about this! You got me into 3D printing so I was excited to hear your take. Unfortunately bought a P1S during black friday. Great machine, but now I can never support Bambu after this. I didn't know that tidbit about Prusa offeeing upgrade paths all the time. Looks like I found my new brand!

Great vid, I usually come for the comments. And the comments have me sold on QIDI Plus 4.

Amen, concerning your assessment of FLSun! I have two original S1s and am absolutely furious at how they have treated those of us who trusted them and "funded" them with pre-orders only to get completely shafted and left stranded on the curb in terms of both hardware and software update support while they move on touting their S1 Pro, completely ghosting their loyal customer base. There is entirely too much to list but suffice it to say they have completely lost my trust. Thanks for including this in this video, Frank! 👍🏼
