the couple was no longer in the house by 2005. Someone else surely lived in that house. I hope the couple's family (or someone else) will clean the house and make it lovely again. It is just so sad to see a house that once was filled with happiness is now abandoned.

@@Catchwitt05 someone commented awhile ago that the saw the address on a letter(Josh edited the video so the address is blurred out now) so they looked it up and found the couple’s information and that the man died in 2011. I tried finding the address online and couldn’t find the address, but found an article with pictures of the house, also saying that it was abandoned in 2011. I will try looking for that article and linking it in another comment

@Britney Stitz he explores abandoned places all the time, strange things happen all the time. You can’t be jumpy if your entire career is based on exploring creepy places.
You know how deer’s freeze when they see headlights, most people do the same thing. It’s your mind trying to figure out what’s going on and what to do next.
When Josh went to Chernobyl the first time, he used a radiation detector, it should show a green light to indicate that’s he’s clean but if he has radioactive dust on him the light will remain red. His tour guide used the machine before him and it worked fine but when Josh used the same machine after him the light stayed on red, his guide was concerned but Josh kept his cool and even made a joke, the light eventually turned green. (I think you have to give the machine time to reset because the light was still green when Josh used it. I don’t know about that machine and how it works but that’s my best guess.)
People just react differently. His job is to visit creepy places that may or may not be haunted, you can’t be a coward doing a job like this.

I feel SO sorry for the elderly man. After reading the theory based on the facts on the comments, i can only hardly imagine the pain and sorrow he must have felt having lived alone, with no family or company for six years, after his wife who he clearly loved so much and son passed away. This is so sad, and I find it so much worse that people are disrespectful enough to vandalise their things that hold so much meaning and stories. I hope the whole family rests in peace.
Now knowing more of the history about the house is making me feel like I should explore more of the abandoned house, in my neighborhood (which is one, but I seen abandoned house in the woods somtimes)

I don’t know if your religious (probably not because of your first comment) but our lives are as important as we make them while we’re here. You live on through the people you touched, the stories that are passed on about you, the kids you help raise, and the ways you make society better. For example through fund raisers, donations, and other things to help others. Not trying to be a “keyboard warrior.” Just trying to help you see a different point of view🙂

I actually cried watching this. How can people just be forgotten about...surely there is a relative like a great great grandchild some where In the world. Family lineage doesn't just end..there's a relative somewhere, the sad part is no one cared enough to to pass down history about their family tree, no one told their child about their great great grandparents (, or aunt or cousin ) existence. It just breaks my heart that their lives didn't matter to anyone.
This video really reminds you of how fleeting and temporary life is. A family lived, loved, laughed and cried here. A lifetime worth of possessions, hope, dreams, passion and hard work reduced to a curiosity video. This video truly cemented my belief that the most important things in life are being kind to one another and making as many happy memories as you can. Because, when in your deathbed the only things left of value are your memories and being surrounded by those that care about you...

I did some research and at 11:29 you can see a book called “THE EYE A NATURAL HISTORY” that book was published in 2007 so either someone brought that book to the house when they were exploring or the house wasn’t abandoned in 2005. I thought that was kinda interesting

If it's the same house with a green house on the property I've seen before,by another explorer,I think your perspective of this house is awsome and even if it's not the same house,your video is still great.I enjoy seeing a abandoned houses being explored by various explorers and seeing different perspectives.
In old houses, the doors often open just because they aren't completely square anymore. You can usually rehang them on the hinges to fix this. I own a house from 1887 and the door to my bedroom often opens on its own because it isn't evenly distributed on the hinges. It isn't supernatural. It's a common thing in old houses.

@@kaylascott7263 because when you adjust the doors hinges, it fixes the problem. If you jump out of your skin and ascribe paranormal forces every time there is a weird noise or an old door is out of plumb, you never need to live in an old house. They creak and settle all the time.
