Thanks for making this video. I just installed Ride Command in my Pro XP Sport last week, I never would’ve attempted it if not for this video. I didn’t even need the instructions they gave me, just followed your video. Thank you 👍🏻
Thanks for the sub! I love the Ride Command. It's so much easier than dealing with a tablet like some of my friends are doing. Also, the vehicle-to-vehicle GPS is really cool. I only have 2 other friends with the Ride Command with vehicle-to-vehicle antennas so we'll usually pick one of us to lead and one to be the "caboose" so the leader can watch the GPS to make sure everyone is still keeping up. Works really well, even in areas with no cell reception!
Great video! This made the install pretty simple. As you suggested, I removed the entire passenger side fender. That made it easy to route the wires. Thank you!
Sub'd! What a helpful video, even for those not installing a Ride Command! I'm getting ready to strip down the dash for access to install aftermarket everything, lighting comms, air pumper, etc. and this was very helpful. Thanks!
Great video, will use to install mine. Just a side note, if want cooler air in cabin, use the new pro xp hood scoop used to keep the belt drive cool on yours. Only 80.00 bucks and all you have to do is cut out the access on yours to allow air to flow down where radiator tunes are. Made a difference in hot months and unlike all the other hoods, this actually works and was way cheaper!.
Do you mean the PRO R hood scoop? I've seen quite a few people put that on, but I haven't looked into it yet. It really makes that much of a difference?
Question if I got the PMX-P2 display w stage 2 sound system and I want to upgrade to the RC 7in display , Would it be a plug and play or do I need to buy an adapter for the display??
You'll need the Ride Command Installation Kit. It comes with the correct bracket, along with both cameras, V2V antenna, GPS antenna, and a ton of wiring. It's quite a bit of hardware to do the upgrade. I believe some of it takes the place of what you have in there now.
Did you ever get around to adding audio to the ride command? I'm doing both with mine right now have the exact same rzr as provolone. Did you have to get an additional harness to run to the rear speakers or were the wires already there?
Funny you say that.... Stage 5 audio has been ordered and I should have it shortly! Once I have all the parts, I'll be doing an installation video for that. There was a small harness that had to be ordered separately that appears to go from the Ride Command to the amplifier that comes with Stage 2, but the rest of the parts didn't specify if any extra parts were needed. Hopefully not, but I'll know soon!
Hey boss love the video but I have a question with mounting kit did that wiring harness come with the kit or was it ordered separately because I ordered a kit and didn’t receive a harness
The harness, antennas, cameras, and mount all came with the install kit. All I ordered was the screen and the install kit, and that was everything I needed. Sounds like yours needs to go back. Sorry!
To be certain you are getting the right parts, go to www.polaris.com/en-us/off-road/accessories/. Click "Audio and Tech", then enter your vehicle information. You're looking for the Ride Command and the Mount Kit. You will need both. Last I knew, the Ride Command was about $1500 and the mount kit was another $500. The prices have gone up quite a bit over the past few years...
I didn't know this came with 2 cameras as well. Since I seen the cameras selling separately I had just assumed you needed to buy them separately. Well that saves me $200
Wow, you must have done this before... I just purchased two 2022 Turbo R4 ultimate cars and we are having issues with V2V connecting for group ride. After talking with Polaris this afternoon we're kind of thinking that my sons car has an issue with the Antenna. My car picks up other group rides but his only shows all the ones he created trying to connect are two cars. So your video really helps to see maybe where the antenna cable or I believe you called it the FM wire (short wire) is routed and how to remove things to get to the connections. Does that wire come in through the firewall and I guess it is all part of the harness? Thanks Dave....
The V2V is going to be the round antenna, under the hood on the passenger side. The FM wire is just for the radio. But yes, they are all part of the main harness. Hopefully the issue is with the antenna and not the Ride Command or the wiring harness! Glad the video helped, and thanks for watching!
The part number is 2884072, but the dealerships will refer to it as the "Ride Command Unit". It came in a retail box and had to be matched to the installation kit 2884584.
@@3DayWeekend thanks for the response! I have a 2022 and just installed ride command and the accent lights based off your videos. They really helped me a lot. Thanks!
That one's installation will be a little different than the PRO XP. It's the same head unit, but the harness and bracket will be unique to that machine.
Yes, all the gauges work as they should, including the odometer! It can display boost, volts, 2 trip odometers, hours, RPM, speed... all the goodies. (I'm assuming you meant MPH instead of MPG. It doesn't show MPG). Thanks for watching!
I bought mine directly from my local Polaris dealer. They are available in the online Polaris accessory store as well. Links: Install Kit (includes wiring, cameras, antennas, gps receiver, etc) rzr.polaris.com/en-us/shop/accessories/ride-command/2884584/?pfm=Browse Ride Command rzr.polaris.com/en-us/shop/accessories/ride-command/ride-command-2884072/?pfm=Browse
But that's cheating! :-) If there were an Ultimate back when I purchased mine, I likely would have gone that route. There are plenty available now, but I just love my machine too much to get rid of it!

Awesome! Glad it helped! Working on acquiring the factory audio for it next. Should have a video showcasing that sometime before spring!
Thank for taking the time to create this video. I’m saving this video for when I take this on myself. Subscribed

Thank you for taking the time to film and edit this video. It was very helpful with my own installation today. You rock!
Glad it helped! I hope you enjoy the new Ride Command unit. I know I do! Thanks for watching and for the comment!
Great video ! I just got done installing RC in my 2024 Sport following your video. Thank you for making it, much better than Polaris directions.
Awesome! Glad you found it helpful. I hope you enjoy the RC upgrade as much as I do! Thanks for watching!

@3DayWeekend yes, sorry for mix up. Put it on two so far.
Can send you pics if you like
Best install video for the ride command bar non great job guys
Thanks! Glad it was helpful!
Thanks for the video good detail keep up the good work. I also ordered the ultimate, for the suspension.
Great video. Used it to install it on my 22 Turbo R. I had premium version but this was with out the Ride Command
I'm glad you found it helpful! I hope you enjoy your new Ride Command! Thanks for watching.

Great video! What kind of phone mount is that?
Thanks! That's a RAM finger mount coupled with the RAM strap hose clamp ball mount. Kind-of pricey but rock solid!
Should the rockford front speakers Work with the ride command bc i’m not getting no sound it’s a 2023 pro xp premium.?
The add-on Ride Command kit doesn't come with speakers or the amplifier out of the box. I believe you need the "Stage 2" package to get the amplifier.

Do you know what the part number of your 7” display is?
The part number is 2884072, but the dealerships will refer to it as the "Ride Command Unit". It came in a retail box and had to be matched to the installation kit 2884584.
Do you know if the audio adapter kit comes pre installed on the RZR XP Pro Premium?
It depends on the year, but it should only be pre-installed if you have one of the audio systems.
@@3DayWeekend thanks for the response! I have a 2022 and just installed ride command and the accent lights based off your videos. They really helped me a lot. Thanks!
big chunk of change for what it is thanks for the video! what did it all cost and how long did it take?
Several hours overall. Not a terrible job. The antenna was the worst part. Thanks for watching!
Need help on 2021 rzr xp 4 turbo
That one's installation will be a little different than the PRO XP. It's the same head unit, but the harness and bracket will be unique to that machine.
@ im going to try today. It seems like its the same process but idk. How long did u take to do it?
@@3DayWeekend luckily the manual comes with instructions for my xp4 turbo
How much was everything
The price has gone up a bit from when I did it a few years ago. Looks like Polaris has it on their site now for $1594 which includes the install kit.
Great video! Did the gauges (MPG / RPM) display on yours after the install?
Yes, all the gauges work as they should, including the odometer! It can display boost, volts, 2 trip odometers, hours, RPM, speed... all the goodies. (I'm assuming you meant MPH instead of MPG. It doesn't show MPG). Thanks for watching!
Now I know why I just went ahead and got the ultimate 🤣
Haha yeah... would have been easier, but where's the fun in that? :-)
How much was all that?
@@joshsare9081 Full retail price is roughly $2k.

Meant keep drive belt cool on 2024 pro xp
You must be talking about something different than the PRO R hook scoop. The PRO R doesn't have a belt. I'm lost here! haha
Where did you plug in your adapter for the aftermarket audio?
I haven't added audio as of yet.
Great video. Saved me so much time. Polaris instructions that come with the kit are garbage.
Glad it helped! Thank you for watching!
I can already tell just from the beginning that this is probably a much bigger pain in the A than the normal rzr lol
Yeah, it was a pain, but definitely worth it. The front camera and radio antenna were the hardest part!
