This worked on my 2015xp1000. I did a 2023 dash swap and the speedometer wires were long enough. I also followed your front fascia swap to install the front camera. The rear fascia swap was just as easy. I’ve owned my machine for 10 years now and still works great so I decided to give it some upgrades instead of buying a new machine.
Great video! Made my install easy and quick on a 17 900s4. Took me about 5 hours. I got an older 7 button display (part # 3280899) on eBay for $400 so the total cost for me with the other parts was about $900. Well worth that price. Also, saw back orders for the dash part saying at least a month and a half out. Mine took a week and a half. The harness took a few days longer than that. Thx for the help!
Nice job. I did the same install on my 2017 xp1000. But I used a 5 button dash piece and cut out the holes to fit the 7 button. I was able to use the factory mount but you can see where I cut into the plastic. I might change mine to the way you did yours if the cosmetic issue bothers me. Thanks for the great video.
I’m wanting to do the same on my 2017 xp4. Did you use the same harness as in this video? Just wondering where it gets all the cluster data, maybe the dlc connector?
Awesome video and guide, I did the same swap on my 18 1000 XP last summer. We have almost the exact same mods, front end swap with fang lights, 7 button ride command, and I have everything to retrofit a cluster gauge, just haven't got it in yet.
Well done videos, very informative. I have the same year 2 seat model of your S 1000. Question re the upper dash panel you installed. Your panel has 7 cut out holes at the bottom for the display's buttons. If I use your part number, will I receive the dash panel with the 7 bottom cutouts? All the pictures on line do not show cutouts for the 7 button display. Maybe the pics are generic??
I ordered the dash today. Says early January arrival so that probably means July haha. So what was this dash actually meant for? Since you have to make a bracket for the ride command?
The dash was meant for the Fox Edition RZR. But you can’t get any other parts for it because it was discontinued. Which is why I had to fabricate the mounting bracket for it.
Great Video! Helped me out with my install. Did you end up adding an amp and speakers? I have door speakers id like to connect the factory amp and wiring if possible. Do you have any helpful tips with doing this? Thanks.
Can I use any ride command head unit or just that part number? Can it be used or new? nothing do with the miles or odometer as that’s in the cluster? Going to do the Custer retrofit as well. Great videos.
I’m installing ride command into my 2018 xpt 1000. Quick question, what do I do with the old 16pin plug that was plugged into the old Speedo? I saw one video where he removed pins from old and installed into new 32 but he took yellow number one of old and put it into #29 slot of new 32 by my new 32 already has a wire in that slot. Do I just tape up old 16 pin plug and zip tie it out of the way?
Shawn, Question for you. I already did the judge cluster swap. I too would like to add the 7 button ride command. The only feature I intend to use it the GPS itself. Do you know which harness connector supplies power tot he unit? I’m hoping to purchase just the single connector instead of the entire harness just to provide power. Not sure if it’s in the 16pin or the 32pin. Thanks
I’m installing ride command into my 2018 XP4T 1000. Quick question, what do I do with the old 16pin plug that was plugged into the old Speedo? I saw one video where he removed pins from old and installed into new 32 pin, but he took yellow number one of old and put it into #29 slot of new 32 by my new 32 already has a wire in that slots. And I don't have a speedo cluster that was all tied into the older smaller digital display. Kinda confused on what to do with those wires on the old 16 pin connector.

Is that the correct number for the dash? I have the 5 button dash that I had to cut the dividers. I would like to buy this 7 button dash. I didnt know they made that. Please confirm the part number so that I can order ASAP. thanks
Hello, Is this installation fits with my RZR 2016 1000XP ? If yes, is it possible to plug an audio system (MTX AUDIO or MB QUART) to the 7 buttons screen command ride ? If yes, is there any special accesories to plug the audio system to the screen? Many thanks !
Can you confirm the dash panel number cause what I am seeing that is the top panel and not the dash to where the ride command would fit? Where did you purchase your from?
Will this work for a 17 turbo or is the dash frame different and it just plugs in to The diagnostic plug. The dash and ride command is on back order but I ordered everything else.
Unfortunately not that I’ve seen for the S models as our bed and everything is drastically different than an XP. But I’m sure someone will probably do it in the future!
The existing RZR harness gets plugged into the gauge cluster, and the new ride command harness plugs into the ride command itself. Check out the other gauge cluster install video and then watch the ride command video it will explain it better.
If your planning on installing a ride command compatible stereo system like kicker , or Rockford fosgate do you also need to purchase a separate audio adapter ?
It comes with audio adapters in the wiring harness kit but I am not for sure on if they will work for your application or if they only work with Polaris’s audio setup.
The ride command has its own harness that plugs into the diagnostic port plug, the gauge cluster utilizes the plug that normally runs to the round cluster in the center of the dash.
