- Parts List and FAQ below!!
This is a DIY Polaris General/Turbo S/ XP Pro Cluster install in my 2020 RZR S4 1000. This will for sure work in the 16-20 RZR's and from some research it looks like it could work in the 11-15 RZR's also but do your homework before trying it on those years.
Update 3-5-21
To answer a few questions:
-yes all gauges work properly it is plug and play
-cost is around $350-$400
-your odometer will reset to 0 but your machine hours will stay the same. Unless you purchase a used cluster, then your miles will be wherever were on that cluster when removed.
-this may work on earlier models pre 2016, I didn’t research how far back it would work and didn’t want to steer anyone in the wrong direction. If you decide to test it let me know if it works and I’ll update this video with corrected years!
The Parts needed for this are:
Gauge Cluster- 3286838
Gauge Bezel Front- 5455956
Gauge Bezel Rear- 5455957
Mounting Bracket- 5260981
Bracket Screw x3- 7519063
1" Aluminum Square Tubing
U Bolt Clamp- 5/16 x 2 x 3
18ga Wire- 6'
Solder and Solder Iron
Heat Shrink Авто/Мото
Great upgrades. I have the 2 seater model and will doing the same mods following your video step by step.
Awesome glad to hear!
Great video!! Very informative will definitely be doing this in the future to mine!! Now im not much of a fan of the ride comand so what else could you put in place of the factory gage cluster 🤔🤔
You may be able to get the ride command dash piece and then install a double din pocket into it, instead of the unit itself?
Dam dude!! Im picking up a 2015 1000 xp on saturday. The first thing im doing is follow this video and your ride command video. I hope they both work with the 15. Thanks for the instructions man!
Did this work on your 2015 I have one too and want to do this ?
@@tonyrodriguez728 I haven’t done it yet, but from all the research I did it seems like it will work totally fine. I ended up getting a 2018 not a 2015. But dudes put them on all the years it seems like
@@dangerdiesel3106 awesome ima try it out
@@tonyrodriguez728If you have a 2015 did this upgrade work
@@mattclark2641have you tried looking to do it also
Very helpful thanks for the video
I have a question. I just installed a new motor and was wondering would I need a new cluster or is it something with the ECU
Dude love the content
Thank You! Always appreciate the Support!
Solid! Planning this our right now on my 2018 XP4T with dash retrofit. Question if you know the answer... gauge p/n 3286838 is common on all 2020-2021 models. 2018 Turbo S, 2019 XP/XPT and 2019 RC models all have different part numbers. Do you know if there are really any differences from 3286838?
As far as I know they’re all the same gauge cluster so part # shouldn’t matter.
@@CollaGoUnLTD thanks for the reply! 👊
Thanks for the info did some more digging and found out you can buy a 2019 RZR turbo upper and lower dash (plus a hood) and have the cluster installed in the dash. If you want you can buy the dash frame. I just made the brackets to hold the cluster in place and for the ride command area . You can do this all for just under 1500 bucks. plus Paying for the ride command. I know it all fits cause I just did it on my 18 xp1000 4
What dash did u have before…I have the round cluster and wanted to upgrade… what is needed to do the dash ur referring to…do u have pics
The hood and dash of the 19 fit with your 18 fenders and facia?? Im curious because I’m doing the gauge swap on my 18 xp 1000 and would love to make it look factory
Will that cluster work on a 2017 XP1000 TURBO. I have the square cluster in the center of my dash, not the round one. I didnt have ride command.
what store did you get the parts from i want to do it on my 1000xp
11-15 should be the same considering my guage took a shit in my 16 and i replaced it with 2013 just because it was all i could find locally used and it plugs right in and works just fine.
Does the gauge cluster actually work though? With the RPM being a digital display on the old and now analog? Install video was nice and how to retrofit but it would be nice to see it in action...
Yes everything functions and works perfect!
Work on a 2018 turbo with the square gauge?
So I have a 2016 xp4 turbo, will I be able to have everything you showed in your video, (coolant temp, diagnostic, service interval, and everything else you listed?
Yes you will
Great video. Do you know if that will work on 2018 XP1000? My round cluster is bad and if I’m going to replace it I wanna upgrade.
Yep it sure will!
Can I do this to a 2014 rzr xp, it has the cluster in the middle like your
So I have a xp1000 with ride command it’s a 17 and I’d really like to add this cluster on the column but I’d still like my ride command to function as it currently does. Any way to T tap a second connector so they work together like the newer models do?
Also love you videos I did the fang light swap as well when I saw your other video
Hey man lovin the videos!! I just upgraded my cluster as well on a 17' polaris rzr xp 1000. I am having issues with the rpms not working with the new cluster. They show up and seem to work in the middle digital display, but the actual rpm needle only kicks up to 1000rpms and not true to the actual revolutions.
I plugged in the old cluster wires to the new one. am i missing a wire or do i need to splice one together?
Did you ever figure out your issue?
@@alexwebb2208 no sir till this day. Haven’t had time to mess with it
I have the same issue. Mot working anything. No rpms no fuel or temperature.
I’m going to do this exactly the same great video and thank you for taking your time to record for everyone else! And did you buy the parts (cluster) directly from polaris?
I ordered it through my local Polaris dealership.
@@CollaGoUnLTD thanks so much!
Where did you get the UTV lift?
From where you by the gauge
Where did you get your cluster from? I can't find one
I ordered it from my local Polaris dealership
When you put it on your machine, the miles and stuff reset with your mileage correct?
No, unfortunately your odometer mileage does not transfer to the new cluster. The Hours however do though.
Is this gauge cluster water proof when installed like this can you still wash it off etc if it’s gets muddy
Yes it is, however I still try not to directly spray any of my electronics with the pressure washer.
Can the dash/cluster can be retrofit onto the dashboard instead of mounting it on the steering column?
To do it that way, it would require updating the dash to the new version as well as the whole front end basically.
Where did you get the plug for the new gauge cluster?
I used the existing plug out of the back of the original cluster. Just extended the wires of it. It’s all plug and play.
I have a rzr it’s the same body style but it’s the 2014 Will it still work it’s a 1000xp
Yep it should!
Can I do this on my 2013 rzr 900 xp?
Yes you should be able to
Will this work on a 2015 xp1000??
Yep it should!
Do I did this swap with a ride command too, the high beam indicator on the 2019 cluster doesn’t function, is this normal?
You would probably need to run a wire to the pin on the harness for the bright indicator.
@@CollaGoUnLTD I have that wire there, it’s pin 8 on the factory and pin 8 on the new cluster
I’ll have to go out and take a look at mine and see if my indicator turns on when I hit my brights as Im not sure if mine works either.
@@CollaGoUnLTD thank you, I’m curious too cause it’s the same pin on both clusters
Will all the warning lights still work? Like the check engine light, over heating light and battery indicator, or low fuel?
Yes everything still functions perfect!
Will this cluster work for a 2015 rzr 900s?
Have you done it?
Will this not work on a 2015 xp 1000?
I’m pretty sure it can, I just didn’t research the compatibility that far back.
Just asked this sweet imma look at the specs
How much is the cluster?
They run around $300 or so
Anyone know if it will work on a 2014 xp 1000? Thanks
Yes it will
@@CollaGoUnLTD Awesome!!!! Thanks!!!!
Thanks again!!!!!! Its in and works great!!!!
Did the hrs and miles transfer or does it start fresh with 0hrs 0miles? @collagounltd
Hrs transfer, miles did not
From where you by the gauge
