use tv flickering scan for vari shutter to to reduce the lights flickering, when in a custom mode for low light, you can assign a button to open the menu and scan
I was scratching my head wondering if I need to go f2.8 constant and below on a different zoom lens, but none catches my eye (I'll try my EF 15-85 on the S5 M2 at some point). But with this footage, jeez, it's impressive what it seems to handle.
Did you use a Gimble? I know 4k is more res, but I honestly can't tell between 4k and HD on YT and Both look great. For me 4k, is just going to be for panning and cropping to HD. Wish I was that skilled at filming.
In my personal experience 60 fps makes the difference for a footage to be as realistic as possible, no matter the device. I don't like 24 fps. I have scaled down a 4k60p footage to 1080 and watched back on my 55" TV but could not find a difference apart from pixel-peeping. 4k has more color space I think
@@fabian_99 No worries. Have you seen my last video regarding issues I have with the S5? I’m wondering if others are having the same problem and hoping people would leave a comment with the hope that Panasonic sees my video and address these issues. The link to the video is ruclips.net/video/5GveYzW9hBE/видео.html. I would appreciate it if you check that video out. Thanks.
Thanks so much for doing this video. Very much appreciated. If you don't mind, can you comment on the obvious even though- it is obvious, I'd still appreciate reading your thoughts on the S5's ISO performance. I'm watching this from my phone.
Do you think HLG is better than normal 8 Bit Video for Low light? HLG Safes more Information in the Highlights I think. Have you testet both 8 Bit and hlg?
Now pickup the Sigma 24-70mm DG DN f/2.8 Art lens for even more stunning low light performance. But yeah, this is pretty impressive and a reason I love my Lumix S5 as well.
@@camexplora9742 i also ordered it but i gave it back because it just wasn't worth it for my use case ... altough the f 1.8 aperture is really nice... however î also tried the sigma 20 mm dg dn contemporary f 2.0 on my s5 and was quite pleasently surprised... you should give it a try i personally got the the lumix 50 mm f 1.8 and the sigma 85 mm f 1.4 and i love both lenses :)

I just reviewed the comments, and this was HANDHELD. Goodness. So smooth.

Why would you make a low light test with HLG and not in VLog? The dynamic range is severely reduced.
Thank you for share this video, I think a lot in buy the Lumix S52 and to get with the kit lens or not. Now I now is worth for the money. 😉
schönes Video, die Kamera ist echt gut in low light
speak english you monkey
What setting a you used, iso etc.
When I'm looking on my phone it looks great, when I look on my 4k monitor it shows so much noise and artifacts, just omg...
You can apply this to all phone photography lol
There must be something with your monitor, I’m watching this on 80 inch tv … and is perfect… no noise ..!
Record at 25fps or set your shutter speed to 1/50 to avoid flicker (in the UK).

@@fabian_99 Exactly 😂
is this using the kit lens?
Very clean video

Very nice, I have the S1H and it is very good at low light also with dual native ISO.
Thank you.
ah damn no color grading ?? whats the base iso in HLG ?? cause vlog is 400 or 600 if i remember correctly
The base iso for HLG is 400 and 600 for V-Log.
That’s right. I don’t colour grade my HLG footage.
@@camexplora9742 ahh ok thx was too lazy to go check on my own s5 hahah
@@camexplora9742 damn looks nice it always looked a bit over saturated on the camera screen ... did you adjust any values in the picture profile?

I presume it was all set at the 20mm F3.5 end of the lens
Nice footage at night of Southampton!
Amazing quality

wow the bokeh at 3:10. i never knew 3.5 aperature could do that.
Is this in the UK
Hi, yes.
some highlight clipping other than that great quality!
Thank you.

I have not tried both, but HLG is 10 bit so it should be better.
The S5 can shoot HLG & Rec709 both in 10bit 4:2:2
Thanks
This camera is amazing in low light. I also just made a RUclips Video with Max Iso Settings it looks incredible
Thank you
