I’ll be 42 this year and Mike has been my all time favorite bodyboarder/athlete since I was a little kid! Nothing but class!!! This interview is Definitely a hidden gem!
Great to listen and learn from the all knowing one ✌🏻
I’m a bodyboarder turned surfer turned bodyboarder...glad I’m back to doing what stokes me the most ✌🏻
Shout out to all you guys from Scotland 🏴

@@callum4181 Probably paddles out at Ocean Beach SF CA.
Valuable af, just wish the sound were better
Been bodyboarding for 35 years and still learnt a few really cool tips. Awesome video from the master.
This is an excellent resource for us body boarders. Technique is paramount! Well done.
Professor Mike PhD Surf Physics
This made me appreciate more why I picked this cool hobby sponger for life !
Holy sheet.... I wish the sound quality was better!!! Thank you for the vid nonetheless🙏
Yeah, this was a spur of the moment thing, so we didn't have good sound equipment available.
Massive knowledge base from Mike. Thanks for the upload. I like the part about making a choice to be fit. Good stuff!
The earliest model Boogies did not have the slick bottom surface and were thinner. A little less planing ability. But you could grab and bend the back of the inside edge and really fine tune how high up or release in the tube.
Thanks for sharing this, can't wait to get into the water!
Mike is dropping jewels on the ppl!
I wish y’all did this conference in a room because the waves were way too loud drowned out most of what he was saying but I got some of it
This video is brilliant! The Master taking us through best techniques! Thank you!
Always learning with the Master!
Best mic'd video on RUclips.
Yeah, we know it sucks....we were amateur videographers back then and realized how bad it was but we had to post it anyway.
I also have learned more. Thankyou.
Stewart the legend
Stewart the legend 🤙🤙🤙
Thanks Wizzard!

Smart man.
@10.31 Kick fins 2x, lift/trim repeat. Pretty sure I have seen people do this on1ft - 10ft waves to get speed. It's a little bit like when you paddle out back using the rip/channel. People paddle lightly, and just enough to maintain momentum rather than digging in with deep paddles.
Great info
It's a pleasure listening to MS giving clear explanations of the sport. I have a question that maybe someone can answer regarding a core that is barely seen and used today except by Custom X and PMA in Cali. Which is the M core. Is there a reason for this? Thanks. Cheers Jay and team.
I'd suggest emailing Custom X and asking them about it. jojo@customx.com
Great info. Time stamps would be even better!
The master
What would he know know about body boarding?
Please subtitles in spanish 🙏 🙏
Or in correct english because the automatic subtitules are wrong... Could ebodyboarding.com transcribe it?
Always humble! Such a classy guy. Meet him at the LBC award show they had on the parking structure back in 03-04 and he was as cool as can be man! Just hope he comes to know the Lord Jesus as savior and is the one who created this beloved water source called the ocean we get to enjoy
GTFOOH with that crap will ya?
How hard is it to review your sound, and fix that before recording
If you read all the comments, you'll see that I explained that this was a spur-of-the-moment thing. I didn't have any sound equipment available and just had to go with my phone. This was three years ago.
Tavarua resort?
Yes, it was from our Tavi Tube Tour trip in 2019.
Whiskey! Tango! Foxtrot! ☝️🤣 Mr. Stewart why are you holding back? Give us your secrets? 😂🤙 You Faka, what language you speaking champion?
too bad he wasn't mic'd for the vid
Yeah, it was completely spur-of-the-moment, so we hadn't planned it ahead of time, and just had to go with what we had.
Terrible audio
DRAG
The WORST possible location to do this, the audio is so annoying it's pretty much impossible to watch the entire video.
Thank you Ken. If you read the other comments, I've pointed out that this was a spur-of-the-moment thing Mike decided to do, and so we weren't prepared with proper mics, etc. We just had a small window of time and he said "Hey, how about if I do a seminar?", and literally we just had to start recording.
