    I'm 48 and haven't bodyboarded since the late 80's when i rode a Mach 7-7 so i been researching and now i'm 100kg (220lbs for you yanks haha) so been looking at a 45" Funkshen 'The Tank' board. I want one of those Custom X 'beast' boards he's holding in the video but i live in south western Australia (near Yallingup and Margaret River if u have heard of those surf towns) and can't find any of them in Australia at all so going with the The Tank funkshen board i reckon. I'm started again because i'm a Support Worker and one client wants to go every shift so i better buy one. I've been skateboarding ever since i quit bb at 16yo after a shark incident freaked me out but now skating has taken its toll on my body so i bought a surfboard and now will get a bb too. If there's anything advice u have i'd like to hear it, thanks

      I use the exact same Mori boogie bodyboard that you used when I was in my early twenties. I attached to scags to the board so when I'm carving across the face I can stay up closer to the lip and won't slip down to the bottom of the wave. Have fun I know I always did.

      NMD make a Mach 7-7 template (and thickness) board specifically for a shop here in the U.K. which uses all the great (better quality) newer materials.. ..Maybe worth checking with them to see if they can offer anything similar for you in Aus? Just don't rush. Doin' any of it really. I wouldn't be saying it if I didn't learn from my mistake years ago. I probably wouldn't be here!! I'm actually going off what I Did learn, buying a board good for warm storm surges later in the year. Now if I wasn't lucky: Warmer water late in summer, my board softer than I was used to, hurricane season, no fins, sweet looking rashguard tho! We all know how important it is to LOOK like ya know what you're doin, duh. If I wasn't in the good shape my much younger self had .... I dunno. Ran, hiked, swam and STILL my legs were like overcooked noodles by the time I wandered out of the foam, just a wrist leash left as proof that I wasn't just some nut swimming in the shore pound.

Cuidate Alex

      @@bodyboard_holidays buen día, gracias por responder, con core nrg en Uruguay no he visto, pero igual , si hubiera no me dá mi presupuesto, por eso puse esas dos que encuentro de oferta, no soy profesional, es sólo para divertirme, hay tablas de 350 dólares en PP, pero no gasto ese dinero, creo voy a ir por la 662, y contra diferencia con la otra de 150 dólares (antes 200) me compro funda y aletas, muchas gracias.

    I'm short around 5.5 maybe. Hover around 68-70kgs. I've actually gone up to a 41" as my 40" seems a little small. I used to ride a 40 about 5 or so years ago. (I'm now 32)It feels ok but for some reason it feels a little cramped.
    I'm yet to try the 41. It does feel bigger holding it against me but I don't think it's too big. Keen to try it. The belly button rule is old school and I've never went by it. My 40 is a little above and my 41 definitely above. So forget that rule lol.

    I live in Mazatlán, Mexico. The water is warm year around (70-77F). I'm 6'2, 170lbs. I'm not into doing tricks, just riding prone, and the waves aren't that large where I go. What bodyboard do you recommend for me? Do you ship to Mexico?

      @BodyboardSchool 4 года назад +1

      Thanks for the comment Mike! Jay and the guys at ebodyboarding do ship to Mexico and will definitely be able to help you out. You are a similar build to me, I would recommend a 42.5" , single stringer board with a PP core. For only prone you may want to consider a bat tail. Here are the international shipping rates from Ebodyboarding (www.ebodyboarding.com/pages/shipping-rates). Here is a useful section of the website called the 'Booger picker' which you can input your info and then boards are selected for you (www.ebodyboarding.com/pages/booger-picker). I look forward to hearing from you. Just shout if you need any more help of you can contact the shop directionly through their website. www.ebodyboarding.com Thanks Rob

    Never buy the ones that look like they made out of stirephome cause it will snap after a couple waves. The good ones are the ones where there's plastic underneath.

    • @BodyboardSchool
      @BodyboardSchool 4 года назад

      If you spend under £40 you can expect the board to bend a lot or even snap. This is dangerous and ofcourse bad for the environment. Pay a little more and they will last for a long time!
