Best "how to" bodyboarding channel on RUclips, I've only been bodyboarding for a week and applied what you've taught, cheers bro I'm having heaps of fun 🤙🏾🌊
Love the body follows the head advice, I tend to sometimes move my body first because i am a big guy, I will try like you said, thanks again, now just have to wait for a swell to show up.
I've been Boogin for about 30yrs and never really pulled off a move. I can read a wave perfectly and catch it, but I just catch it for the barrel so your "how to" do moves are great for me. However, I thought you could start at the beginning for those frothing groms. Like how to wait for the last wave of the set to paddle out, where to sit, how the read the wave and how to catch the wave.
Hey bru... I plan to run through a bunch of video this year and hopefully I can incorporate that into them. It’s hard to have a list as everyone wants something a little different. I will try address this in a video soon!
Thanks for this great video can't wait to get in the water and put your expert advice into practice. Thanks from a wet cold and windy Cornwall in England.
Awesome video! This is really gonna help out a lot of newcomers. I remember when I first was getting into bodyboarding a couple years ago trying to find videos I couldn’t really find anything good. Great job ! Yeww🤙🏻
Thanks Iain great instruction and footage. For about 3 months now Ive improved my spins forward and reverse. Ill try your techniques in my next session. I can do forward/reverse spins going left. However i have an akwardness feeling trying reverse cutting right. I can initiate the move but I stop at a 180. I figure I need to improve on looking at sectionz to initiate the move.
Can’t wait to get back into water and train the spin with your new tips. Thanks for such a wonderful explanation and for another great video. Good vibes and waves from iquique again Ian 🙌🇨🇱🏄🏻♂️
Thank you for this video! I can only seem to forward spin i just can't wrap my head around the movement for a reverse but ill be defiantly be trying it next boogie sesh! Cheer bro!
Aren’t you digging your fin in the water to slightly help with the rotation? For instance going left your right fin digs in slightly as you dig the rail in to start the spin?
Hi Iain. Any tips for landing flips and ars off of closeouts? I can land in the flats but can't continue the rotation after bracing for landing. PLC seems to spin out straight away even on 6 foot waves.
Hey John. All about head movement on the landing. Once you have braced for impact you should start to drop the legs. This will allow you to land and automatically go into the spin. Head position is key in this sport but your legs will anchor you and start the spin. Try that but don’t be too aggressive with dropping the legs as that will sometimes cause the tail to dig in.
Thank you. Your inside leg will probably go up first but it is your head movement that is so important. Check this video out if you are interested ruclips.net/video/jydqk_sDxN8/видео.html
You got to get good salt in your body and stretch before you surf. Potassium, magnesium and calcium supplements all help with cramping. But stretching will help too.
I cannot answer that… all I know is it is the same when you’re in any sport. Reverse you’re spinning away with your head so you’re not really seeing too much, forward is easier to follow 🤷🏼♂️🤷🏼♂️
There is a video for that. I made it already. Sorry the translator doesn’t work but that’s all I got bro 🤷🏼♂️ ruclips.net/video/dK_4ZL7ZeHo/видео.html
No, you can actually keep you hand there. If you can subtly move your hand that will help with control but it’s all about keeping your body centred on the board.
I cant figure out how to position myself to try this, I can do standard 360s but I find this much harder, I always visualize it but when I get in the water Im completely lost , doesnt help that Im 37yo and only been doing this for 1 year 🤣
Such a helpful video Iain, so stoked to go it and use it today and I have a photographer for the sesh. Keep making these amazing vids they really help! Yeww! 🤙🤙🤙 If you want to see the clips from today go subscribe Allied Bodyboards and we’ll post an edit soon!

Stoked!! Hope you get it soon!
Ian, i understand english, but i'm brazilian. Thanks to think on translate the videos to portuguese! God bless you! And thanks for the tips!
translations are up bro...
So clean. I wish there were waves in Florida. I have to go visit Houston in PR
Yeah bro. Go get it. Even in the small waves, give it a try.
that was sick and really helpful, thanks Iain!
Thanks man. Hope you get in the water and get some done 🤙🏼
Thank You so much Ian! I'll try My Best!! Hello from Tijuana Baja México 🤙

Yes exactly right. Keep pushing and try the opposite to what is working on the left, on the the right. Enjoy bro.
Sick videos bro definitely helpful for us not so skilled boarders 🤙🏻
Stoked you like it bru
Gracias Iain!!
Thank you so much I got it first try
Good job!

Thanks so much bru. Appreciate the kind words 🙏🏼
Best boogy explanation vids on YT Iain! Thanks for spreading the knowledge.🤙 Be tagging you as soon as I complete one.😜
Thanks so much. Appreciate it.
Thank you for this video! I can only seem to forward spin i just can't wrap my head around the movement for a reverse but ill be defiantly be trying it next boogie sesh! Cheer bro!
Good luck bro. And let me know how it goes!
if you can (for example) forward spin on a left then spinning that direction/rotation on a right is a reverse.
I'll be trying next boog for sure ill post a reply if i pull one off!
Another great video, keep em coming. 💪🏿💪🏿💪🏿
Thanks bro. 🤙🏼
Very good....thanks!!!
Really helpful
This IS the vid i need, thX ;)
Glad I could help 😉🤙🏼
Thanks for the video I'm stoked! Now just need some good waves. Aloha pumehana
The head movement and body follows is of existential value. Thank you bro
Only a pleasure braddah. Stay safe and get some waves soon.
Sick video 🤙🏻
nice vid lad!
Good tutorial 🤙🏽
Thanks 🙏🏼
Aren’t you digging your fin in the water to slightly help with the rotation? For instance going left your right fin digs in slightly as you dig the rail in to start the spin?
Ever so slightly yes. But the head movement is as important.
thanks so much!
Great vid and great explanations !! What about rollo ?... 🧐🤘👊👊
It’s already been done bro. Got to go into my past videos. All there. 😉
Iain Campbell oh great ! Thanks buddy ! You’re the king 💥
Thanks legend. Would love to get a crown 👑
Iain Campbell I admit I don’t follow that much competes BUT since I’m following your RUclips channel... you deserve it bro !! Matter of time... 👊💥🤘
TheGujan33 thank you bro 🤙🏼🤙🏼
Sick vid! Cant wait to get in the water now.
Enjoy bru. Hope you land some reverses.
Fingers crossed😬

@@iaincampbell_ thanks Iain, legend
When doing a reverse, which leg do you pull up first to initiate the spin? Outside or inside? Does it matter? Lekker video as always 🤙
Thank you. Your inside leg will probably go up first but it is your head movement that is so important. Check this video out if you are interested ruclips.net/video/jydqk_sDxN8/видео.html
could you do a how to video on duck diving the wave behind you when you are riding the whitewater toward the shore. thanks🤙
Very interesting. I will try to think of a way to explain that for sure. 🤙🏼
COOL CHAMP!!!!!! VERY EXPLICIT!!!!
Keep teaching us!!!
yeww thanks for the tips, next time I'll ask for another video on your ig live :)
🙏🏼🤙🏼
What about cramps? My body turns stiff half way through the manoeuvre. Haha.
Ya Big Dog 😂🤙
But your still charging!🤙🤙
You got to get good salt in your body and stretch before you surf. Potassium, magnesium and calcium supplements all help with cramping. But stretching will help too.
Iain Campbell Yeah got to get around to that stretching aye. Thanks 👍🏻
The best trick ever
Do you do the same for big and small waves
Yes. It don’t matter the size.
Reverses are the best!
Oh yes they are!
Why is it called a reverse or a forward?
I understand the way they turn ,just can't work out what the term reverse is in relationship with the wave.
I cannot answer that… all I know is it is the same when you’re in any sport. Reverse you’re spinning away with your head so you’re not really seeing too much, forward is easier to follow 🤷🏼♂️🤷🏼♂️
What are easier forward spin or reverse because I can already do forward
Whichever one you get first would be easier. Perfecting them is the hardest part.
Thank you champ
Anytime 🤙🏼
Wow, thanks Iain! Really nice explanation, keep those tutorials coming, please!
They will be. And no problem 🤙🏼🤙🏼
thanks
Un vídeo explicando mejor el botom turn y la posesión y las errores que no se deben cometer... Y el traductor no funciona bien..gracias
There is a video for that. I made it already. Sorry the translator doesn’t work but that’s all I got bro 🤷🏼♂️ ruclips.net/video/dK_4ZL7ZeHo/видео.html

Thanks mate for the help 😍😍😍🙏💪💪💪🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺
Thanks for joining the channel bru 🤙🏼🤙🏼
Ian arregla los subtítulos en Español por favor
I will get that done today 🤙🏼🤙🏼
Do a air reverse video
There is an air reverse video already bro.
I need to hold the board after pushing down?
Video: 3m17s
No, you can actually keep you hand there. If you can subtly move your hand that will help with control but it’s all about keeping your body centred on the board.
How to get more splashes in reverse 🙏
@@isbodyboard dig the rail!
Can you spin on a Broken wave
With speed, anything is possible 😉
@@iaincampbell_ cool thanks 😀😀😀
I cant figure out how to position myself to try this, I can do standard 360s but I find this much harder, I always visualize it but when I get in the water Im completely lost , doesnt help that Im 37yo and only been doing this for 1 year 🤣
The easiest way would be to start to cutback before the spin and remember the head movement! Good luck. 37 ain’t too old 😉
Thanks!
