Very well done! I'm going to send this link to the Insignia person who tried to assist me. In my case, the remote still won't pair after all of that, but power/volume/back buttons work. "Searching for your remote" is as far as I get. Replaced the remote, new batteries :( You mentioned you might have another solution for that?

Great vid didn't need full factory reset but was informative. You should do unboxing/review videos for new products I would definitely watch that.
My remote didn't pair. Everything worked up until holding home button. Stayed on Searching for ur remote. Red power button blinking but nothing happen. PLEASE ADVISE

THANK YOU! My Fire TV screen was dead and even with no screen, I followed your instructions and hard reset it. In the video your TV kept making the sound to select language for setup. I knew mine was fully reset when I saw the power light kept pulsating and after a few minutes, I heard that prompting sound from the TV because it wanted to be setup. Now I know I can get rid of the TV and all my personal information's been erased.
Watched several clips all giving the same bs but this guy what a champ ,to the point step by step guide brillant. and got my tv working after failed update aswell thank you champ.
Just used this on my Uncles brand new cheap TV and it worked. Out of the box it didnt work, but I was able to reset with these steps.

1-10-24🎉😂 💃🏽Thank you, Thank! I was going to toss my TV. I had tried everything to include leaving it unplugged for weeks. Searched for a new video today for the heck of it & found his for the 1st time!! He says unplug TV. Continue to hold the power button as you REPLUG the TV. As soon as you see the fire TV screen logo let the power button GO! If you don't see the reset screen continue to try! It worked the second time because I let the power button go early enough. (This is different from all the OTHER instructions that say continue to hold the power button until the TV turns back on.) After the factory reset. The TV asked if I wanted to use my phone or remote to finish. It took two tries because my Internet is slow. Thankfully, my Amazon settings allowed me to restore everything on the TV💃🏽!💯
Thank you for the instructions on resetting the Insignia FireTv. Worked and now I can't get past the Choose Your Language menu. The new firestick will not pair. It is only a firestick. Do you I need to get that little black box too, even though it is a smart tv?

My line never turned green. And the list of stuff under the group you were using to ‘wipe’ and ‘reset’ was so long you could scroll past the bottom! But I did get to the home button part of the instructions and holding that home button did nothing. Can’t get past this screen!! I held for 10, 30, even a minute…nothing. Even constant tapping did nothing. Got any other ideas?

I successfully did the reset, but I am unable to pair my replacement remote following the last steps provided. The light on the remote flashes, but there is no beeping or pairing. Are there other ways to pair a new remote to a factory reset tv? @worldoftech

Will this work with the replacement remotes that claim they will NOT work for setup? They say you need the original remote for some reason.
I'm having the same issue. I have a replacement remote that worked fine until I had to factory reset, now it won't pair even after resetting the remote itself, the TV, and trying other replacement remotes. So frustrating that what was a perfectly functioning TV just a few days ago is now bricked and might need to be replaced.

I had to use an extension cord- Didn’t work first try, but it did the second. To pair my remote, hold the home key & the weird arrow key beside the home key down together for a count of 10- done. 🙏 🤩 Thx

Hello there.....screen is black.....I disconnected the tv from wall outlet..held the power button for a 1 minute and nothing.....I tried the remote changed batteries...nothing......the power button lights up barely...what else can I do....the tv is barely 2 yrs..I'm so frustrated because I bought 2 more insignia amazon fire tvs😡😡😡😡😡
Hi how do you get pst the searching for the remote screen? I have a Phillips remote that was previously paired with the TV. I did a factory reset and it let me choose my language but now I can’t bypass this screen.
