Insignia Fire TV won't get past language screen. The only REAL FIX!

- This is an Insignia 50" Fire Edition TV model NS-50DF711SE21 that boots up and won't get past the "Select Language" screen. After you select the language, the Fire TV then tells you to pair the remote. Obviously the remote control is already paired because you can power on the TV, use the volume, select the language, and hit the "Back" button.
This is the only real fix for this Insignia Fire edition television that won't let you go any further than the "Choose your language" screen and trying to pair your remote.

Have an Insignia 49" standard model I paid $180.00 for & it's great. Had it for about 5 years with not one glitch.
I dunno if this was a main board issue, I read there is an app you can go in and remove the paired remotes. it has the ability to pair 7, after that it won;'t pair anymore. But i dunno, just what I read.
I had a small 24 inch Insignia Fire TV that had this problem. I brought it outside and smashed it to bits. Best solution I’ve found. Garbage.

i had the same issue with a toshiba that i did a factory reset on without the original remote. I had to use the phone app as a remote to get through the setup. Had to connect it to the ethernet first though since wifi options are later in the setup

I had a similar problem with mine. The issue is that there are TWO communication paths for the remote. IR and bluetooth. IR works fine. But these TVs won't pair to a new remote (except the original) in bluetooth mode. You cannot pair a new remote via bluetooth without the original, as best as I can tell. Stupid design. I replaced my remote but am stuck with only IR mode working. Certain things like voice only work in Bluetooth mode, though.

No, it doesn't connect to your modem, it connects to your router and splits off of that.
I wonder if there is some kind of reset instead of replacing the main board?

Use hydrogen peroxide & micro fiber towel to clean the screen.

I have a fire tv NS-50DF710NA21. I had a aftermarket remote. I factory reset the TV and then the remote would not pair. It would allow me to turn the TV on, select English, and turn the TV off. In these comments and in another thread I found suggesting using original remote. I ordered an original remote and then I was able to pair to the TV and everything worked as normal. If you're having this issue I would suggest an original or factory remote before the expense of a new board.

Had a similar thing with TCL Roku 55' that I had been given. It was a brand new TV that never worked out of the box. Replaced the Main and still would not get past half way through set up. I kept trying and finally it hooked up to internet and was able to update software and began to operate correctly. It was dumb luck. lol
Can we order backlights from you company? I got a 65 insignia with a backlight fail,Flashing picture but everything else still works..

Yeah in the same boat. I did factory reset and don’t have original remote anymore. I didn’t know you needed to have original remote if you did factory reset. To do Initial set up only with original remote
Have you considered contacting insignia and asking for a service manual & remote?
At least you have the proof and the problem in your videos.
So explaining the fault should not be a problem to insignia.
I think a service manual & remote must be required to fix this kind of fault.
