- A massive swell combined with a king high tide to produce a MONSTER Day at Rincon Point Break. I got down there from Santa Barbara a little after the biggest waves and was mostly shooting photos. These videos are from about 11:00am until 12:30pm. I was using a monopod, so the clips are pretty shaky, need to brush up on my video skills. Also, I know there is a spot on my lens, haha driving me loco when I watch it, lmao. I really wish I got down there sooner and brought my drone, oh well.

Those wide sets look menacing. Were they capping and then reforming outside the rivermouth? Some that came from the indicator looked like they were growing as they came to the rivermouth.
Needs swell more from north.
Exactly. I'd bet all the criticisms here are from folks who don't know -- or even surfed -- the Con.
yea, don't go to Rincon on a West swell with a medium interval. horrible.

Bummer. I watched again. I paddled out at 12:00pm, probably didn't catch my first wave until 1:00pm. Took nearly an hour for every wave. That current was intense!

Honestly, doesn t look that great.. rather surf a 3 foot barrel. Love the guys on there 5'8 s skipping out and can't turn with the speed they have. Knowledge people.
