2nd time this year the outer bars have broken. Shorebreak is fun but those outside first peak waves only break maybe once or twice a year. Definitely worth the long paddle out. Thanks for sharing the waves with us my friend, good stuff! 👍 👍

does the sand ever build up in a way that it can break a little further out?

I surfed there a few times in the early 80s, which were big El Nino years, and it was breaking outside, even on shorter period, after storm swells. I don't know why the waves break so close to shore now.

No. They put so much sand on the beach that it's too steep on the Southside. Northside used to get decent but never this big.
However when cloud break is working its amazing.
