  • Larger, luxurious, sporty, classy...and still 911. The 991.1 variant 911 is an amazing vehicle, and needs proper maintenance to keep it in tip top shape. In this video, I change the oil on a 2013 C2 model using PurOl Elite synthetic 10w40, and a K&N filter. Enjoy!

    Wow Bisimoto. You make this process look easy and fun. I never knew that changing a Porsche 911 engine oil was this interesting. I hope that when I buy a Porsche one day you will teach me more.

    One of my friends changed his oil on his Ford escort back in the day (1989) and poured oil into it until he seen oil filled up at the valve cover. Car wouldn't Start. He freaked out and called me over to help, After we drained out 12 quarts of oil it started but smoked like a train... I wish RUclips was out then in the early 80's. He could of watched a video like this but for Fords... love your videos Bisi.
    Keep up the good work 😉

    Excellent video! As an aside, after you change the oil, don't forget to start the car and let it idle up to operating temp, then check for leaks. I know that it only makes sense, but one can't assume anything these days. Probably won't be any leaks, but it is good to check.

    Nicely done! I just bought my 2014 991 S cab and I am looking for as many of these sites as possible. I really appreciate the great job you did on this video and look forward to more!
    Can anyone tell me how much oil these cars can consume? After 3 days of ownership mine oil level has dropped one bar… I have put 300 miles on it in three days, and the car originally had 3500 miles when I drove it home the other day… is that ok?

    Would be great to know about what are the weaknesses of the 991 car, and what usually goes wrong with them in general if any.

      Porsche has come a long way. So far, the 911 is quite bulletproof. Cheers.

      Yes, I used a durametric tool to reset. Thanks.

      Bisimoto I tried with a BlueDriver pro scan tool and it will not reset saying it is not a Porsche serviceable reset.

    Note that a diagnostic device is needed to reset the car otherwise a warning light will appear.

    Do not add 8 liters of oil you should only add 7 then check the level. If you add 8 there is a very good chance you will get an oil overfill warning on the dash. Fill with 7 check level and bit by bit add what's needed from the 8th. You will require a device capable of resetting the oil change light.

      Not an issue with drivability, but you really should reset it. If you are local to us, we can assist.

    Looks simple enough. Pretty much an oil change on almost every other car. Why does this cost $250-$300 at the dealership?

    • @Bisimoto
      @Bisimoto  4 года назад

      Well now, all you need is a filter, gaskets, tools and PurÖl, and voila! Stay safe!

      this is not bad at all, just removing the fans to get to filter. This actually is cleaner than under car filter that gets all over the place when removing the whole filter. If you think this is hard, look up air filter change on the 911 991. :)

    Didn’t cover the fan shroud removal very well. Pass.
