I've hit up college radio twice, but it's only been rock & punk & pop. Although, Joan Jett live from a 198? local performance hit me up there. At least one jazz, idk what now. I'm being very patient with college radio about Motown & Soul. My experience w this is that rewards for patience brings great glory, at least musicologically. Like, unbelievable, when it's amazing.

I even tolerate that Tionne's barely doing 50% of her vocalpart herself, the vibe is just too good, the song an ageless masterpiece, a tribute to lisa, whose rap-parts were the first lyrics I used to learn as a kid. the band is killer, and the song has one of the sickest basslines in history. plus the crowdsinging in the end, I just want to be there and I hope TLC will keep performing in future!

This makes me sad and happy at the same time: sad cause that song came out when my brother was using, dealing with hard drug like heroin at 14 and was in jail. And i couldnt take it: but then this song came out and it was balm for my soul. I hoped he would hear it and understand the lesson. I loved all TLC because of that. Sadly the passing further of Lisa, taught me a strong lesson. I took safer sex after that very serious. ALL IN ALL: TLC and WATERFALLS SAVED MANY LIFES. Much love, emi
