I was trying to figure out why this felt different - the crowd is so immersed in the experience rather than trying to record on their phones to tweet about later. They are genuinely into her performance and it's so palpable.
Phones don't really work well at Glastonbury as the huge number of people (~200k) blocks the signal, and almost everyone is out of battery by Friday anyway.

As a straight white male i would never have thought i could be so emotionally invested in female empowerment, body acceptance, and all the other messages she spreads through her music. Shows how powerful the right gig can be. Legendary performance.

I love how people from all colors and sizes can sing along to the song and feel empowered either way. She’s amazing, spreading so much positivity, being hella multi talented and with a song that’s refreshing to the charts.

zephyra I agree. Every Scottish gig I’ve been to has been absolutely mental, and when I’ve flown over to Ireland/N.Ireland the gigs are the same too. The north of England has good crowds too, it seems like the south is a little more tame. I’ve noticed such a difference in the crowds in Glasto this year though - they’re more dancey and hyped up which is great!
Wish she would get a band on stage with her for the sets. Imagine if she had a bass player like flea from the chilli peppers with her. The interaction between the her and bass player would be magical.
