Hello Jerry Thank you for share your project, I have just paid for my Enterprise Refit, and I am waiting for delivery, I am also detailing it with the light, brass etching kits, Aztec paint and other details, at the moment I am just practising the skills needed to make this kit with model cars it has been many years when I did a model last I very much appreciate you sharing your project it gives a very good insight in the kit and all after market parts over view. Regards Julian
@@frantzkenol6720 Get in touch with Pola Lights and ask them if they would replace the Spure Tree it would be on, or get in touch with the person who you got it from and ask for a box replace.
@@Julian1701D Thank you very much for the advice @Julian. I tried contacting Polar lights but couldn't find a direct number or website. I also tried contacting the seller on amazon.com but... anyway lost patience and just ordered that part from ebay. the panel cost me $22
wanted to add a big thanks for the video. It was very helpful to me in trying to figure out where my piece went. Looking at your panels I was able to identify exactly where it was supposed to be
Hate to nitpick, but Spock wasn't a Captain in "TMP." He got his promotion between films. Otherwise, I loved your reactions to the unboxing. When I opened up mine, it was very similar. The saucer section is the size of a freakin' PIZZA! I'm all set to build mine...except I'm still contemplating my options for lighting the ship....but everything else is ready: Aztec 5-color masks, Paragraphix photo-etch parts, specialized decals, taxidermy pearlescent paints for the Aztecing effects. Good luck in your build, my friend. Peace.
Thanks Jerry, is a great video! Please please, share with us, step, by step construction diary. Greetengs from Argentina...💪😊🖖 (please excuse my poor english)
Now this is the 1/350 Polar Lights kit of the Refit-1701/Enterprise-A that I have and that I will eventually be building as my all-time favourite incarnation of the Starship Enterprise, the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-A. It is the most epic model that I have had of the Enterprise-A to date. It is also the biggest model of the Enterprise-A that I have ever had. I will build it once I have settled into a house of my own and it will probably take years to build and light properly - to the best looking model of the Enterprise-A, as featured in Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home, Star Trek V: The Final Frontier and Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country. The Enterprise-A is also featuring in the book that I am currently writing and is generally referred to as the Flagship or the Flagship of Humanity or the Grand Lady of Starfleet.
It all depends on how your going to build it. If your going to light it and paint the aztecing on like I am, then it really takes a lot of patience. If your going to just build it out of the box and not paint it, then it should be much easier for you. Best of luck on your build. Maybe you can share a video or two on it. Good luck and stay safe.
Well, there is no lighting kit for this model. It has to be custom made. Although I did get my circuit boards from TENACONTROLS for the Shuttlebay and the Lighting sequence. As for the rest of the lighting, I am doing mine custom. I got my circuit boards here tenacontrols.com
Unfortunately, no lights of any kind come with this kit. There is not a kit by polar lights for it either. Everything must be made from scratch. Unless you want to spend money and purchase pre made sets from ebay. Polar Lights make a light kit for the Original USS Enterprise 1/350 model, but not for the refit.
Thanks for sharing. This thing is huge! Love it! I really did not grasp the scale until you showed your forearm next to the nacelle. Wow!
Glad you enjoyed the video. Thank you, Yes it really is big. Imagine that Deboers has a fiberglass model of the USS Enterprise A that is 4 feet.

I just opened my box but I seem to be missing my officer’s Hull. Not sure what to do about that

yes beautiful
The only way to understand how big it is
Is if you actually hold it
When I opened my box I was blown away
Right. You don’t get the same effect on video. I love it! I wish they sold the replica of the 11 foot filming model!
I have one question... how much weight the box kit does that have aprox... thanks!
I’d say between 3 and 5 pounds
any idea about the size of the box? thanks
The box is pretty large. Its dimensions are 17" long, 17" wide and a little over 5" tall.
Interesting! I have the 2009 release and it only has one bridge dome. What are the differences between the two?
Even in a side by side comparison I can't tell the difference. Maybe they put an extra one in?
ahhh i would love too if it wasn't so expensive :(
Quarantine cornovirus project. I am going to get this! Is it hard to assemble?

Okay this is the model I want to get one day 👍😁
Okay this kit doesn’t have the lights and board stuff so where do I get it from

Yea I would not know how to do that myself but if they would make a good kit with everything ready to go even the board wires resistors and led lights
@@linkmasters535 I am surprised they haven't yet. Polar Lights created a kit for the 1/350 Scale U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701 and the 1701 A.
Do you have any videos on building this ship
Sybok is another character Star Trek the 2009 movie and Star Trek Discovery completely forgot about!
Do any lights come with this set at all
