Man.... No idea what you guys are talking about. The Nightcrawler intro, Stryker being a good villain, a more personal story rather than the usual save the world crap, the gay allegory in Bobby's house, Logan vs Lady Deathstike, Jean's death actually having weight, etc.
X2 is great. Is some of it dated? Sure, it's like 15 years old. The OG X trilogy is the same as the OG Spidey trilogy, where the first two are great and the third is pretty bad.
Jeans death was as emotional as anything in infinity war, at least for me anyway.
Jeans death was great because I always hated Jean grey and never liked the actress either.

These dudes are crazy. X2 still is awesome and the Nightcrawler opening is still one of the best comic book movie scenes ever.

Naw man this movie sucks. I mean Andy chose to watch it while obviously tired and Nick was busy prepping his HBO special or something and had to watch it in 2 parts, and as we all know, anything over 2 hours that isn't Infinity War is huge strike against a movie.
Its sweet when 3/5ths of the crew don't care. Thats what makes KF "special" (or so we get told). Garbage truck on fire and all that!

Y'all are being harsh AF. Sure the fight scenes and CGI don't hold up but you can't say that makes this a "horrible movie." Its still a pretty good movie. Saying this movie is bad because some stuff looks bad is liking saying a game is bad because of its graphics. Graphics aren't the most important aspect of games or films.
well the dialogue and characters aren't very good either so
@@Isaactheking17 They most certainly are. This movie is better than most MCU movies. It actually has substance, and well directed scenes. Like the scene of Magneto telling Pyro that he's a god among insects. That line was awesome. You wouldn't get a scene like that in the MCU they rather sacrifice story telling for dumb comedy

I had never seen this movie before, so I had no expectations. I loved it. Its dated, but the plot is awesome, and lots of the action scenes are actually pretty good

As someone who has no real bias towards xmen, I actually liked this movie, even though there is a lot of weird shit
The X-Jet is an SR-71 Blackbird, which has a top speed of 2,200 mph. If the distance from Westchester to Boston is roughly 200 miles, it would take roughly 10 minutes for the Blackbird to get from the mansion to Boston and back. YEAH! MATH!
Jesse Reed it would take longer then 10 mins. Probably 15 mins tops(not big difference) but you have to take in effect that it needs to accelerate. It can’t just go top speed from the start.

I know there’s a lot of leaps in logic in this flick, but the one that got me was the fact that Bobby had is house keys on him...he was in his boxers...they didn’t know they were going to Boston until they boosted Cyclops’ whip...
Kitty is a nickname guys. And Colossus does change back and forth between skin and metal. Not even Deadpool has gotten it right. The Deadpool Colossus doesn’t change cause he’s not a real person. He’s a composite of 3 people and cgi.
This is so amazing in every way. Could not stop smiling the whole time. I loved MCU in review and I am so glad that you guys are keeping it up. I absolutely love how long these are. Keep up the great work!

I still love this movie honestly, I feel most of it holds up enough to keep me interested, I like the set pieces like wolverine in the mansion, I'd rather watch it than some marvel movies, but I understand not liking it as much nowadays and I love the kinda funny crew!
After this, you guys gotta do the Spidey films!

Spiderman 2 is overrated
Spider-Man 2 is still by far the absolute best Spider-Man movie of them all. Homecoming was horrendous.
The problem with it is Tobey. He is the worst Peter Parker at of them all. The only good thing about the first 2 movies was the villain development. But at the end of the day the og trilogy always ended with Spidey fighting an old fart.

I'm shocked. For a 2 hour 15 minute review this was remarkably entertaining throughout.

Watched 1 and 2 back to back this weekend and 2 improves every aspect. Taking into account that this was made in 2003, that's ages ago, I think this movie still holds up.
1:10:54 I think Tim insinuates that the trip took so long because Storm and Jean Grey were scissoring, which makes a lot of sense.

Colussus has always been able to change back and forth from human form to metal.
My homegirl Famke (now 54yo) has starred (after Xmen) in the Taken series, The Blacklist, How to Get away with Murder and Hemlock Grove to name a few.
I’m going to throw this out there... I want the Star Trek cinematic universe in review. There are so many, of such varying quality. And I know none of you besides Nick cares, so it would be fascinating to get an outsider perspective.

Colossus can definitely switch forms and does so in the animated series.
you guy's should watch the Rogue Cut of DoFP, its about 17 min longer than the original, and compliments everything that happens more! don't even worry about watching the original cut along with the recut. So my first time seeing this movie was when I was a kid ( big kid) and we were down in flordia for Christmas , well my dad ( who may have had a few of the old brewskies ) got up from bed to go to the bath room while the rest of us were watching it.
It was the scene where Charles ,and Jason were going back and forth and Charles yells " Jason stop it !"
if i'm lying im dying my dad ( in nothing but a towel because he sleeps naked) stops dead in the hall way and goes " What !" as loud as he can.

Lord of the rings was made around the time of this and the special effects in that still hold up and are arguably better than todays CGI. So no excuse for this film to look this bad and have terrible action

Y'all need to read Joss Whedon's run on Astonishing X-Men. Colossus can go back to human skin but he was dead. Also shows the Cyclops is capable of being a badass leader.
