4:45 The old guy with the tattoos and the tour case is Peter. He is Rammstein's oldest roadie and has been with the band from the beginning. It's wonderful of the band to thank him like this.

Figured the roadie was legit and had to be important to the band to be included in the vid. Huge kudos to them for paying him tribute! I laughed my ass off, so many great moments....my fave is Schneider (wearing a bald cap) putting on a wig....he was the only member of the band to have long hair for any period of time...and the chemistry between Till and Flake is always priceless :-)
What is his full name?
Was he the one Rammstein showed in their tour 2019 after the song ohne dich ?

I love that Flake is playing the surgeon. When he was younger he at one time wanted to become one. Hence his other nickname, "Doktor".
Flake relatively normal in this compared with the others.

Ollie looks like Harald Glööckler (real name Harald Glöckler, duble öös make names better I guess?), who is a German celebrity. I don't think anyone actually knows what the dude is famous for, but supposedly he is a fashion designer.

And that Ladies and agents is why Rammstein are by a Country mile the best band in the World. Don’t take themselves to seriously, and consistently produce excellent Rock music, genuinely funny video, and are by a distance still the best live band in the world. Love, love, love Rammstein😍😍
If that had been Van Halen or the Red Hot Chili Peppers who had written a song like that they would have advertised for people who had already had that work done or else hired willing extras to get themselves done up like that while the band just prefer to wear cool outfits (Oh Pretty Woman by Van Halen for example) or just be themselves.
This was amazing, Rammstein taking it up a notch again, thanks guys, roll on June can’t wait to see them.

These guys' willingness to have fun with their own image places them in a league off their own imho. There's *so much* going on here. They're making fun of the beauty industry, the influencer style (giving Ollie that look, friggin' genius), Las Vegas, glam rock, hair metal, the Schlager phenomenon, their own aging fans, old rockers in general, themselves in particular, and OF COURSE Till's penchant for making himself as uproariously ugly as he can get away with.
Oh, AND the song of course is a total banger.
I love these dudes unabashedly.
I'm curious to see if this whole album is following the same theme. So far they have the two singles which both have to do with time (also the album is called "Time"). It seems like they might be really diving into the concept of aging with this album.

i think the song grows on you with time. theres little subtleties with the sound changes that i love.
For sure. I didn't like it first time. It got okay on 2nd and 3rd time. Around 10th time I started enjoying it.
And Zeit I felt in love from the very first minute. And re-listen 10 times more than Zick Zack.

Ich bin so stolz, dass es eine so geile und kreative deutsche Band in unserem Lande gibt und dann noch so fett rockig und auch gönnt sich Till Lindemann ab und an so Transformationen wie in diesem Video 🤟👍 Macht kaum ne Band meine ich! I am so proud that there's such a creative german band in our country! And also such a rock band. Till Lindemann disguise himself like the topic of his current song sometimes either! I love this song so much I really hope they play it on tour I’m sure they will though.
I wasn’t sure about the video at first but the more I watch it the more it grows on me I just think of it as a really funny poke at all the people who get overdone plastic surgery and end up looking like a freak show.
Would love if they perform this live, to have the band members wear a bit of makeup/masks to recreate the look on the video, obviously not fully as it'd take way too long to put the makeup on but a simple mask or something would be cool as hell

@@hallomatti I don't mean like the mask they used in the video, i just meant like a halloween mask style. Something that can be put on in a few seconds. Like yeah it won't look amazing but it gets the point across

Being a first generation Canadian of German stock, I listen to a lot of German bands.

Oomph! Is actually the band that influenced Rammstein. Songs like “ the power of love” Augen Auf, thousand Mann und ein befel,Gott ist ein popstar.
Weimar are really good! Anders als die andern is a great song and visual.
I have a son in university and a daughter graduating high school this year.
I’m 57 and own my own contracting business and my kids think some of my music is “ ok” but mostly weird..lol.

This reminds me of 2004/2005 Rammstein, specifically the song "Los" off of Rosenrot. The guitar riff sounds almost the same, I'm good with this. Those albums were supposed to be a double album but instead became the albums Reise, Reise and Rosenrot.
I also think it's a lot like Rosenrot in sound

Even though every album by Rammstein is different to each other, I feel like they found the formula of the perfect song to please their fans. That might be bad, as we might never hear any experiments with the sound.
I hope they will not turn into AC/DC who make indistinguishable songs for decades now.
And also, I think I will be right in saying that their creativity will be turned towards lyricism instead.
So people who do not understand German and listen to them for the music will miss so many levels without comprehending of the texts, and will feel that the music got repetitive.
But anyway, I think there will not be many more albums in the future. Apart from Zeit, probably 2 more. Three at maximum. The dudes are in their 50s/60s. I am sure they will be touring more time than recording songs. The only reason we will get the album in 2022 is because of COVID.

Zick Zack is sort of snap-snap. It is a sound of scissors while cutting something. It is not a Zig Zag as we know it in English.
In Germany we say schnipp schnapp for the Sound of scissors cutting something....
@@bleppoblepp2558 well. I wrote what I heard from people who know German better than I do. And well, Till even does scissors gesture while singing Zick Zack. But if a native speakers say I am wrong. And that it is indeed simply Zig Zag, than my apologies.

@@oleksandrbyelyenko435 In some parts of Germany is is "schnipp schnapp" but "zick zack"maybe in the east means the same. But zigzag would also be conceivable. But maybe he also means the movement of the surgeon's scalpel, which zig zag snips your face.

Thinking of how Rammstein always uses things in an unconventional way, it seems their point was that all of the obsession with the idea of "eternal beauty" through cosmetic surgery will eventually ruin people and so he is mockingly speaking of cosmetic surgical procedures along with the mention of how short our time is to demonstrate its futility and the damage it causes.
