Evidently, all corn is maize, but not all maize is corn 🌽... We're going to miss you during your time away from France even though we'll still be following you online. I'm sure it's as much fun for you to hang out with the crew as much as they enjoy having you around! Thanks for the successful sunset, Alex! 🌇
In Europe, wheat, rye, barley, etc. are called "corn." In the U.S., we call them "grains." And what we call "corn" , everyone else calls "maize." So in Europe, maize is a corn. In the U.S. "corn" is only used for maize. Clear as mud, I imagine. 😏
Absolutely majestic sunset. Thank you, Alex for all you do on your channel and for Billy’s. We will miss you when you leave. You’ve gotten so good at interviewing the convent workers.
I looked this up and thought I would share with you. I always thought they were the same and was surprised to find they are not!! I really appreciate your narration/explanation and what you share with us. Thank you! The primary difference between maize and corn is that maize is used predominantly for industrial, non-food purposes. It's used to creates ethanol, animal feed, and even plastic. Maize also has a higher oil content, making it ideal for industrial use. On the other hand, corn is a food source for both humans and animals.Oct 26, 2023
Before Europeans were introduced to maize from the new world, the English word corn applied to any grain seed crop, wheat, barley, etc. Over time, in North America the word corn came to mean the varieties of maize meant for consumption with minimal processing. As mentioned above, the other varieties grown for processing into grits, flour or oil continued to be called maize. I expect the distinction in the two words came over with the development of post world war international trade.
Alex I love your channel and your explanations re your equipment and how to use it. Lovely seeing and Yanis spending time at Simon’s too. Pizzas looked good! Beautiful French sunset. As I drive home from my son’s house last night here in Northern California I was able to see the most beautiful sunset with the pink skies and wished I could pull over to take pics but nowhere to do so. Just glorious. A painters dream I’d say… Thank you Alex for your beautiful works . You’ll be missed while you’re gone from France.❤❤❤ Oh, as much as I love chateaus I would rather be in a pretty little farm house. Love where Simon is located. Pure peace. ☮️
Beautiful! Sharing the technical aspects of what you do is interesting even though I’m not a photographer. In NW PA we get lake-effect clouds from the moisture the wind picks up as it comes across the Great Lakes. We appreciate when we have sunsets and I love watching the color splash on the clouds at the end. Our countryside is a similar mix of fields and forest. The deciduous tree color change is currently making its trek from north to south, adding to the display. These are times to treasure. You would see Jesus on the cross more in France than in England since it is a Catholic tradition. May the good Lord keep you safe in your travels.
A great way to spend an evening! Sunset and Pizzas with friends and sunset photography. A pretty little village. The French have their priorities right. A church and a bar. 😂
Thank-you Alex that was a gorgeous sunset in France, miss seeing them in France as they are so beautiful. The sunset here in Australia Brisbane are just as magnificent I will say again Thank-you. 😊
As usual Alex a beautiful sun set with the camera and drone. Yep they do look after their churches in France. Hope you enjoyed the pizzas between you . Thankyou for sharing😘
I love the fact that you are all friends and not just work colleagues. I thought corn and maize were the same thing but what would I know as I am just an Aussie. 😉 Great filming and droning Alex.
Lovely framing. I do like a bit of framing around my subject, it's something I do without thinking about it. Thank you to the tree line for their performance 😉👍
would you consider doing a long form i love watching driving videos they are like driving in the French countryside. i think the film is lovely and you are very talented. i so enjoy watching you filming.
Oooh Alex that chateau looks intriguing, are you able to show us around it? . The villages look amazing and so much space around each property, I do love great architecture and history around a property and it's land. That sunset though wowzerz Alex. Yanis the cameraman yes . Lots of love guys take care. Xx
Our church youth worker loved taking pictures - on film, this was about 35 years ago - of sunsets. Every year youths would go camping at a lake, and one year he kept taking pictures of this wonderful sunset, wondering how many he had left on his film. When he realised there was no film in the camera! The was the butt of the joke for the rest of the summer!
Thanks Alex. You walk us through all the steps. Its great that capturing this amazing daily event can evoke wonder and excitement in us. We are in awe at the beauty and the complexity of it all. Enjoy your pizza and your shared friendship. Lela your a good girl,!!
You got some beautiful footage of the sunset. Simon picked a great location to live. Look forward to your return trip to France. You will be missed by many.
What could be better, a beautiful sunset, pizza and friends to share it with. I really love the drone footage where you can see all the landscape. Thank you for sharing this with us Alex!
Maize and corn are basically the same thing. Yes there are different variations, but really, it's all corn. Or maize. lol You hear it called maize a lot more in Europe, and corn in the US tho, so there is that. What's growing in that field? Maize...er, corn of course! LOL jk. Beautiful sunset! So glad you had some nice weather after all that rain. Safe travels back to the UK and pets for Lela!
Absolutely Fantastic Alex and Simon certainly picked a lovely spot to live ...Thankyou it was so beautiful ...Safe trip home I think Billy said you was leaving love to you Both 🐾
Aww ….what a beautiful sunset, you done her proud… Plu been with good friends and pizzas makes life just perfect … Love it … We will miss you in France but …we know your here 🙌😁 Can’t wait to see the end results from this sunset in pictures etc ❤❤
Alex awesome sunset! Thanks Simon and Yanis! I don’t think the farmer will mind you taking videos and flying your drone there you’re not messing up his fields. You should give the farmer a print of your best image of the night he might like that his farm was the star
Cheers, Alex!! Another interesting video with lots of tips on flying a drone. The sunset was beautiful with wide open views across the fields. The property where I live is not oriented to the exact points of a compass. The frontage faces southeast and the rear looks to a forested ridge in the southwest. It's fairly mountainous here and that is evident when I drive into town a few miles away. However, I do have unobstructed views of the sky for the sunrise. On a clear night with no moon, the sky is filled with stars. Chuck in Northern New England
Love your channel, Alex, and the camera work you do at the convent and chateau. The sunset was beautiful! Watching you in action and how you interact with others you are videoing is awesome. 🤩 Cheers from Townsville, Queensland.🌴🌅🇦🇺
Beautiful camera work Alex👍🏼 as always. You have a good interaction with everyone you work with. Gives a nice atmosphere to the videos. Tank you very much and have a nice evening.

They are BOTH "Corn" just different varieties. Like Appels, pears, grasses, etc.
