If clients ever question your prices, give them a look at this clip. How long can the drone hover? I’d love to see a time lapse of the Convent and/ or Chateau as the sun sets and the lights come on. I had requested that alex do a tour of the grounds because I find it confusing. They did a nice recap tour of the inside of the convent, very enjoyable. It’s a complex complex 😜
@@dennispatrick4999 yes I’ve certainly seen lots of footage but never a specific tour to help with orientation. As the one comment said, it’s confusing if the grounds are in back or on the side or both…it’s difficult to understand where Nick is working. It looks huge on the ground but from the air it looks small. I know that a lot of the property didn’t convey with the building itself.
Learning anything new takes trial and error so this was good experience for you, Alex. Really a lot of effort on your part but you had two lovely buildings to photograph.
Lala is such a good girl. I know now that drone flying is way beyond my skill set. Great job, you are pushing on to new aventures. I miss you being at the Convent already.

Hi, Alex!! Although I am ignorant about the tech side of your work, your explanations are so clear, that I am able to easily follow -- a joy for me! I am an old lady, living in the semi-arid climate of Southern California. We do have great beauty here; our suburb (built in the early 1960's) is nexr door to permanent open space. So we have hillsides, giant boulders, some red, some large trees, lots of scrub. Anyway, I do enjoy where we live. But you bring the beauty of rural France to us! So green!!! I never imagined that you are not a very experienced drone operator! Your work is excellent. Love to Lela ❤

These are wonderful shots. Where I live in New York City it’s a lot of work and licensing to use a drone here and it has to be commercial. I’m located in between both JFK and LGA Airports closer to LGA. You can’t even let a kite up too high before it appears on Aviation radar and someone comes police and say real that in lol. It’s happened to people who let a 100 foot of kite twine out . Thank you so much for this
I was pleasantly surprised to see you on my feed since I knew you'd gone back to the UK. The drone shots were very interesting and hopefully these trial runs will help you in your future projects. A lot of the photography speak is above my head but the overall videos are always fun and interesting. Looking forward to your future projects!
Great video. U should make a Shorts out of the end result. My suggestion is that you reverse the daytime section. Starting close to the Convent/Chateau, end it where you start recording. Then switch to the nighttime clip and show us the flight back to the Convent/Chateau.
Great video man. I often wonder what kind of jobs you and Simon do when not at the convent so It will be pretty cool to what kind of things you get up to on here.

Alex, Another great insight into your process. Your many skill sets again on display. The journey from idea to final footage was very interesting, Working three cameras and your additional kit while walking us thru each stage was great . Not only were you creating a piece of footage .you were also making footage of the footage . We are learning from what you are learning. The end result is the Spirit of both the Convent Ptoject and the Chateau Project are represented beautifully. The lighting gives feeling to what we know of Billy and his Vision. Well done Alex. It shows where ideas can be turned into Art using your skill sets. Lela is such a good assistant Director
fyi one yt is using their drone to keep track of new magma on the Island of Iceland. Yes they can see heated magma under roads, towns, blue lagoon! Pretty cool along w/ the vids! Enjoy!
