Caiman lizards are for sure a dream species, but they're something that has to have an abundance of space, time and finances at your disposal in order to be able to properly keep them. Kenan with your property and personal dedication to reptiles, I'd say would be one of the few perfect matches for keeping Caiman Lizards. I think they would be an awesome addition to the kamp. And hats off to Tom and his Nephew for the incredible enclosures and husbandry they're practicing down there.

The way Caiman lizards chew their food looks so "mammalian" and it's kinda cute. It's quite different from most reptiles who will just swallow food whole or tear it in pieces. Lovely creatures.

I've never seen Cayman lizards before, but I'm in love! They would be a great species to have, but very time consuming. You can't just feed them once a week like some of your other reptiles. You'd have to cultivate your own snail farm, and have a good relationship with a fishmonger who can bring you the best seafood. That's not going to be cheap. It would certainly be worth the effort, but it's something to take into consideration. Unless Kate or Sophia is willing to help out, you can give up your 3 day bike rides.

Caiman lizards are a must! I got one this year as one of my dream animals. It’s essentially a specialized half arboreal half aquatic tegu. Mines been tame as can be and I risked it with a farm bread one as well. It’s a show stopper for anyone who sees it! I’m actually doing a giant South American themed enclosure with them as well-side necks, green basilisk, and fish.

YES. I think an Aquascape similar to Blake's Otter pond with an underwater viewing panel from outside the enclosure would be amazing for the Caiman Lizards, even a Sailfin would be awesome at the Kamp. I love Turts and Torts but my heart and passion will always be with the lizards and snakes, especially if water is involved.

Kenan needs another lizard like he needs a hole in his head. All he's going to do throw it in a half assed cage outside in his yard. Play with it on video a few times until he gets tired which will be really quick because he already has more than he can handle by himself. Just look a Inky. Inky was supposed to be his "next big love/project" And look at her, she's been thrown in a piece of rusted metal he calls a cage & left to pretty much fend for herself.

BTW I believe, if one takes the time to invest this, he'd find out that most animals are pretty smart because they have to make a living out there in the wild - you have to be smart if you want to survive under such conditions (off course with domesticated animals that might be different, as long as their aren't bred especially for intelligence and understanding humans).
