Hi Kenan Thanks for taking a trip back to Sam's breeding facility. He has such a wonderful collection of iguanas, and tortoises. He has some species of iguanas that I have never seen before, and their beautiful colors. He takes such excellent care of all of his reptiles, and tortoises. Very nice enclosures for all of them.Cindy

@Kamp Kenan Torts and crocs are great, maybe even the best, but I would love to see some amazing bioactive outdoor enclosures for some Boas. A crazy morph or two (sorry about the colorblind thing, but the channel would love it), boas are fine to be outside with current laws (keyword: "current") and a bit more variety at the camp will always be a great thing!

If I had more room I’d definitely look into breeding Ctenosaura Pectinata (”Banana Spiny-Tail Iguanas.”) They’re a beautiful species with excellent temperaments and aren’t outrageously expensive.
BTW; Sam changing the name of his establishment to “Giant Tortoise Farm” was a very smart move. The “rocket scientists” over at FWC never heard of an “invasive tortoise species” so it (hopefully) gets him out of their sights. I know they’ve bothered him in the past over certain species, Argentine B&W Tegus I believe (?) Dāv Kaufman just made a video on the FWC incident following Kenan’s. He’s absolutely right in that Florida is the nucleus of the reptile/herp/exotic pet hobby; what happens in FL determines what happens in the rest of the country (and ultimately the world.)

I live in San Antonio and learning as much as I can about Beardies and now Uros before I offer myself to be adopted by one. I grew up in the Florida Keys with wild/tame Igies and King snakes. My first companion was a Nurse Shark named Cinnamon. She was accompanied by an Eastern Indigo that remained "wild" but lived in my skiff. Bluey would go fishing with me and hang out while I swam with Cinnamon.
My questions to you is this: If I use local ground elements (rock/sand/gavel), how would I sanitize/sterilize it? I believe in well ventilated environments. How "clever" are each as far as being escape artists (screen gauge)? Thank you for insightful, educational, and VERY entertaining information. I am learning so much and feel more and more confident in this devotion.

he really is quite knowledgeable, he has a very diversified knowledge. My experience is mostly with giant Tortoises and Cyclura Iguanas but i have a medical interest in them.
I have studied them for 40 years so i try to put out a lot of knowledge that i have learned by practical means.
I think that is one of the most gratifying experiences i have,, being able to help someone being able to help the animals, that's what life is all about,
