Hi Kenan So glad that you have Matt to help you at the Kamp. What an excellent idea to repurpose an enclosure that you already had. Thanks for showing the process. Good idea for wheels, so you can make sure that the babies get some sun. All of those baby sulcata's are so precious. ❤🐊Lizards,🐍, and🐢. It didn't take long for that female sulcata to dig out a large burrow. You don't want her to escape..Glad that you got your laundry ducts cleaned out. There was a lot of stuff in there. Have a nice day. Cindy
That was awesome that you walked up to that gal digging a burrow....the reality of Sulcatas. Again the power! It is a good thing Aldabras and Galopes don't burrow. Can you imagine Kenan? Great news about getting the air ducts cleaned out.
So stinking cute!! I wish I could have one…I just don’t think I could provide a good forever home for them in Michigan. I’m a forever type of pet owner lol.
Hey kenan, you got nice extra hands for you. That's really a gift for you to have a person like him.I wish I could visit your kamp one day all the way from India. Those babies are so cute, and the presence of mind to reuse the old one to modify as a new enclosure. that's what is more interesting to learn.
You could also do the same setup with the bigger one that you and matt put in in the ground it looks like your going to need all the space you can get lots of babies coming
Thank you for another great video!! I really would love a tortoise but i don't have the space also i don't have kids so i have no one to pass the little tortoise on to.
I've been oblivious to the fact that Kenan is a mountain biker till like 3 weeks ago, and now I'm just more invested in his channel as a fellow MTB and herp enthusiast... Kenan is that a DJ in the background real quick 3:03???
Tiptoe, Folks. REMEMBER Sulcatas get over 150 lbs as adults! Tiptoe is a neat tortoise but he's big (175 lbs)! The reality for me is that I'd be more content and secure with a smaller animal. I couldn't handle anything over 20 lbs. It's too much for me! Heck, both of the house cats I cared for were under 12 lbs. They were at my limit for both space and patience! (I do like Otis the Turtle but seeing how he likes to bit the nose of his caretaker--!) Sulcatas are another weird animal. Definite personalities, though! If you didn't get that impression from the sulcatas other RUclipsrs own then I can't convince you otherwise.
Help me out please, I live in southern Idaho and have two baby Sulcatas (1 yr old at the end of June. Do they need misting systems? Or no? We only had a Sonoran tortoise prior to getting them.
Hey Kenan, didnt you have hermanns tortoises years back? I know youve got a lot going on, just wondering if youd ever get those little guys back in, theyre such amazing tortoises with huge personalities! Thanks always mate!
Great vid Kenan! I heard you just fine. There is nothing cuter than baby tortoises! We have to change our air filters monthly since we have 3 large dogs and a dusty African grey parrot. How old are sulcata tortoises when they start breeding?
Wow Kenan Nice enclosure. That cage is perfect! But i must say..it was kinda sad not seeing any fish in the aquascape pond :( Cold weather, snakes or turtles take them all out?
Dang dude I was def just looking at the c serpents incubators and I want one so bad now that I know u like em and recommend them. They only thing I was kinda iffy about is the price but I'm gonna start saving bc my incubator I bout dont really keep temp good. Love tha content btw man look forward to new videos everyday keep being a inspirational reptile keeper and thank u kenan for loving reptiles!! Lol🤘🐍👹
Wow what a bummer would have loved to visit. I Would love buy a sulcata from you in the coming months for my son and wife. We live in Miami and are waiting to get a tortoise box first. How would we be able to support you directly by buy from you?
@kampkenan he probably forgot to add a sound filter app to his camera or device for recording his video: Tom or Mike possibly either of them can re-edit the vlog later. I noticed the sound quality as well(not the best I've heard) however I understand your concern @mandyboden :)
Kenan, i have a suggestion instead of putting cement bricks etc in the burrow why dont why dont you cement the burrow?? that way they have a place to go too ??
He said he has to cover it so they won’t drown . They would pile up and the bottom one would drown. They have plenty of hides and house, they just enjoy digging.
You're such an advocate for proper reptile husbandry. I find it odd that you continue to breed sulcata. Rescues are drowning in them. Very similar to the duck, chick, or bunny for Easter and the family releases or surrenders them after they get tired of them or can no longer care for them. Don't you think breeding and selling sulcata is unethical?
#KampKenan you've been my brother(spiritually) and one of my greatest mentors for over a decade now: I like to share some advice with you so you do not get caught up down the road. First amazing building set ups for the Sulcatas( you can monitor the humidity with all the tech you have, just don't stress over it so much) the filters you just removed "do not try to throw them away" at least I would not. The filters have micro-organisms you need to research on and study what causes the build up and what lives in there (mold yes it's dangerous, but research the types that dwell in them) I've learnt you can cultivate the micro-organisms take out the good ones, than reintroduce them back in the natural environment(or you can make natural herbal medicines from their enzymes to help your animals that live in the kamp) it sounds tedious but trust me my brother you will regret it(look at what the guys at flukers are doing with the bugs) you can do similar stuff on a small scale. It's time management and I know you don't have a lot of time, but fifteen minutes a day to relearn and study these miniature bio-organisms and micro-habitats will guarantee you a huge transformation in your future climate controls. You study right? Your Sulcatas will be fine(just til the ground where they live so the water can dry and air out daily) build pipe lines that drain from their enclosure to the another one that needs the water more than they do(they love fruits, veggies, flowering plants matter and of course "dead" or carrin ever now and than) the bad organisms from the filter, the natural sun will dry them out killing them instantly(however) you can make medicine from as well(if your turtles or whatever gets sick, you can ask your local vet about treatment) ..but the majority underlying thing is your environment has all the natural medicine you'll ever need(learn about what you have and you can save tons of money in the long haul) again it's tedious but again you can heal all your animals by giving them natural things from herbs, and soups they drink in their natural basins("memory and knowledge is passed down from mother to children" not from father to son as we are lead to believe in the animal kingdom..it's reverse for humanity but not for animals) Just take the time to read this over and you'll understand exactly what I am implying for you to take heed on.. Btws Check your emails more..
Just commenting to say shout out Bobby Rubino you'll never be forgotten you legend

Thank you Cindy. That’s why we never throw stuff out!
The ending was fantastic… she looked very proud of her burrow! Bet it was like an air conditioner down there.
That would be so awesome to wake up to a bunch of hatched baby tortoises yessss
:)
Happy Mother’s Day to your wife🌹🌹🌹🌹🌷🐢🐉
OMG They are so adorable cute love them bunches epic cage forsure

That was awesome that you walked up to that gal digging a burrow....the reality of Sulcatas. Again the power! It is a good thing Aldabras and Galopes don't burrow. Can you imagine Kenan? Great news about getting the air ducts cleaned out.
I just setup and out door enclosure for the cherry heads u sold me. Thanks for the extra ideas.
Awesome Greg!
The sulcata tortoise is my favorite...
So satisfying watching the enclosure being built and then releasing the turtles into it, they are so cute too!
The back legs of Tortises, especially nany ones, are so damn cute when they move along.
Love the new baby enclosure 😊
Thanks Deb!
So awesome! What a productive day! Enjoy your weekend!
Good Morning Kenan!..Enjoyed the video..Have a lovely weekend!!
Thanks, you too!
"This old cage" sound like it could be one of those renovation shows on TV. I would definitely watch something like that on primetime television.
I like it!
So stinking cute!! I wish I could have one…I just don’t think I could provide a good forever home for them in Michigan. I’m a forever type of pet owner lol.
That means you’re a great pet owner🤠
wauw now thats a perfect re-use, so good you could sell those!

Loving the tortoises and enclosures.
Thanks Michele!
Great work and cool hvac upgrades!
thanks
Cages look amazing 🐢🦎😊
Kenan, have you thought about getting some free range chickens? use the eggs as food for the reptiles and the chickens can forage for ticks..
The cute aggression is real here, people. I WANNA SQUISH, THEM THEY'RE SO CUTEEEEEE!
Hello great video update Kenan
You could also do the same setup with the bigger one that you and matt put in in the ground it looks like your going to need all the space you can get lots of babies coming
Great way to start my day!! See ya at crocfest 😊
Can’t wait!
Guineas help big time with ticks, I'm sure a small flock would thrive in your yard and would be super beneficial
Yes! Friday Kamp Kenan video! Watching on my lunch break at work lol 🐢🐢
I would love some babies
Should get a few chickens they will keep the ticks and bug's in the yard down and you can feed the eggs to the lizard's
nice
Thank you for another great video!! I really would love a tortoise but i don't have the space also i don't have kids so i have no one to pass the little tortoise on to.
How is Colin doing, it would be nice to have an update on him?
Is Colin his carpet python who wasn't doing well because he is so old?
😢
Yes and he wasn't eating 😢
I've been oblivious to the fact that Kenan is a mountain biker till like 3 weeks ago, and now I'm just more invested in his channel as a fellow MTB and herp enthusiast... Kenan is that a DJ in the background real quick 3:03???
Tom here. Love the MTB brotherhood here. Not sure about the bike, he has a few

Nice work on the set ups
Thanks!

Do they need misting systems? Or no? We only had a Sonoran tortoise prior to getting them.
The new cage filled up fast! Awesome. BTW, did I miss when you shaved your head?? Looks great.
Hello 🎉
Hi
Hey Kenan, didnt you have hermanns tortoises years back? I know youve got a lot going on, just wondering if youd ever get those little guys back in, theyre such amazing tortoises with huge personalities! Thanks always mate!
❤
Would it be helpful to add a bigger hide? Since there are so many babies in there?
It's 81 here in South Carolina
Great video but I think your mic is broken, the sound in this video is really bad at the beginning
It’s because of the reverberation and echo in the house. The mic is fine.
yeah not sure what happened. time to upgrade our cam
@@youngmbass Its the same when he was outside.
@@KampKenan Yeah it sounds as tho it’s got damp in the mic n it’s making it sound muffled xxx
It sounded fine, but definitely better quality once the camera was in Matt’s hands. Maybe too close when you’re recording yourself?
Great vid Kenan! I heard you just fine. There is nothing cuter than baby tortoises! We have to change our air filters monthly since we have 3 large dogs and a dusty African grey parrot.
How old are sulcata tortoises when they start breeding?
Do you not change your filters on the regular?
I will now!
you gotta show the whole vent cleaning.
Wow Kenan Nice enclosure. That cage is perfect! But i must say..it was kinda sad not seeing any fish in the aquascape pond :( Cold weather, snakes or turtles take them all out?
cold weather and birds, but we've got babies starting up again
Anyone notice he set the hide down on top of one of the tortoises lol. Nice vid tho as always
KIIIIIIIIIDDDDDDSSSSS!!! Make your bed! 😂🤣😂
👍👍👍❤❤❤🐢🐢🐢
The huge burrow is like another event that happened in the kamp that day, the sulcata was like "bet you didnt expect that wont you dad" 😂
Cristo man! I though everyone in this day and age knew that you have to replace those filters every year. Or not.
💜💚💜💚💜
Hi Chad
Looks great but i think cleaning would be a pain
It's not so bad
Is that a chance that i could get one of that sulcata tortoise? I'm from Indonesia
🤜🤛
27:24 there's a lizard on the ground
yep!
Hi Kenan
You should put the log in the middle so tortoises don’t get flip over 👍🏻
Dang dude I was def just looking at the c serpents incubators and I want one so bad now that I know u like em and recommend them. Do you sell the cherry heads? ❤
What part of Florida is this? And do you do admission?
Jupiter. We are not open to the public
Wow what a bummer would have loved to visit. I Would love buy a sulcata from you in the coming months for my son and wife. We live in Miami and are waiting to get a tortoise box first. How would we be able to support you directly by buy from you?
Maybe a couple more hides , or one big one against one side of it.
Those little dudes are so cool. What do you do for a living and how do you afford to provide fue all your animals?
I’m pretty sure RUclips
@@VincentsReptiles i know that but like what dose he do for a livin. Pretty sure it has something to do with animals
How much for a baby? And do you ship?
5 sec ago and I'm watching 😎
haha awesome!
Get some Guinea fowl for the ticks.
Does Matt ever take a baby home?
Over 50..?? Kenan is like 🤑🤑🤑🤑🤑
Heck yeah! First comment! Keep it up Kenan!
NICE!
That refrigerator gives me nightmares.
Our brother has his on Home Depot😂
I remember when my little boy was that little. Now he just a eating machine with no regards for his surroundings
I'd Get some walls.
The sound is awful, hope you can get that sorted soon , I enjoy your videos ❤
@kampkenan he probably forgot to add a sound filter app to his camera or device for recording his video: Tom or Mike possibly either of them can re-edit the vlog later. I noticed the sound quality as well(not the best I've heard) however I understand your concern @mandyboden :)
is there not something that can kill ticks so they won't bother the tortoises like the spot on for dogs & cats??
What happen to your elongated tortoise?
The kids are in their temporary enclosures 😭
yep
I thought it was gravel, fabric and then the substrate.🤔
everyone has a different spin.
Visible barrier
I don’t care that kids bed isn’t made. Glad that one of your kids gave up their room to their grandmother.
Did that refrigerator come off of the Titanic? 😂
Aren't cucumber and watermelons native to their natural range?
Get a few bandy chicken s they eat the he'll out of ticks talk to Blake
Are u selling the babies
Maybe a Ohio Fish rescue will let you take their tortoise’s. With the Ohio weather they only get to go out a a few months a year
can I have one
Ticks..... someone send Kenan some gineau fowl eggs to hatch !!** they can live with the iguanas @ night and eat ticks lizards bugs and stuff all day.
Can water monitors eat watermelon
Why don’t you dig holes in the ground and put a plastic tube so they can go in
