I really enjoyed this video! The joy and sincerity that you and your fellow turtle/tortoise lovers, share for the critters and the admiration for each other is heart warming. It is so good to see you folks show the personalities of many of the animals and the dedication you show for keeping these creatures among us! Way tro go! Wishing you much happiness and success!
Wow, thank you so much for this! I always say "come for the animals, stay for the people." There really are so many people that care so much and can teach us so much. Might as well highlight them. Have a great rest of your week and thank you for your kind words.
I adore these videos. The turtle community is amazing and so much fun. I am so glad you are making videos. We need more and more education, excitement and fun around these INCREDIBLE animals. They are so important to our world and teach us so much. One of my first core memories was going to a zoo/park in the late 70's in Arizona and seeing giant Turtles. I was able to interact and my love for animals just increased.
I really like meeting you and being apart of TTPG. Great people. Great knowledge. ATC is one of my favorite places to go. Can’t wait till next year when we all do it again. Great video!
Thank you! Pleasure is all mine! I appreciate your kind words. Love your channel, too. Love that incredible habitat you have for the little sulcatas. That's how it needs to be done!
That's on the list!!!!! I'll need to do that, because it's tough to find content in the winter! I will say that I want to highlight a bit about the process of building it and how it holds heat, too. I'll film that in the next few weeks, for sure. When we get it edited and published will be a different story :-)
3:20...Did you know that the guitarist ( now deceased )John Fahey was fond of turtles too !! He had a similar pen situation like y'all have there .Your dog looks very thin though.....
I am not sure who John Fahey is, but he sounds awesome. The dog is not mine and is also not thin, (he and I slept on the couch together!) but thank you for your concern!
There’s an overpopulation of sulcatas especially in Arizona. If anything, he should discontinue breeding them and adopt them out for a modest fee. That’s all I’m saying. I can literally drive to Apache Junction and adopt a 250lb Sudanese male. Do I want to? No. I have a 100lb female and don’t want to contribute to the problem.
Yeah, I totally understand and agree with what you're saying. That being said, this video had nothing to do with breeding of sulcatas, and I have to say, seeing them in such a fitting environment as you all have in southern Arizona is incredible. You bring up a VERY important moral question that any keeper needs to ask themselves. I will say, Andrew and Juline are incredible people, so it's okay for me that I might choose not to breed sulcatas and can still respect them as people. I also worry that because you led with their prices instead of this important point, perhaps there is more at play around your feelings about ATC. Anyway, it's a pleasure to chat with you and I hope to see you around.
I understand. I own Burmese Star, Radiated, and Marginated that came from them. I just want to call out that aspect of their business, and they should think about it too.
Totally understand! @@multanemo awesome that you keep those species, too! I think, if you live near them and keep those species, you should try to get to know them. You'll have a better chance of helping them consider what we are discussing if you do, as opposed to potentially alienating yourself. Nobody wants that to happen. You guys should be friends. :-)
Just subscribed!
Yay! Thanks so much! I hope you enjoy our future stuff. We plan to keep the adventures coming :-)
Great people. I enjoy watching and learning from you all.
Oh my gosh, thank you! I really appreciate you checking this out and dropping this note for us.
Great to see you together guys! Thank You and have fun at the TTPG!

That's so amazing! Thank you for sharing that. Our world is definitely a better place because these animals, and people who love them, are in it!
That place looks fun
It was awesome! Thanks, Greg! Appreciate you, my friend.

Andrews hat at the end of the video is awesome. Where do we get that ?
That's actually an ATC hat. At one point, he was selling those.
@@jusTURTLES I found it! ty Can't wait for the Just Turtle merch to drop!
What did I ever do to deserve you!?
Hey Anthony you should do a tour of your greenhouse and how it is in the winter

@ I’d personally love to see that being in a cold climate myself a greenhouse is a near necessity for the future
Thank you for that. I totally understand and am excited to see what you think. @@sethblandford2805

$1000 for an adult female Sulcata is insane, sorry. Mine was $100.00. I live in Mesa.
Did we talk about the cost of sulcatas in this video?
