@Eli Rivera I disagree with you I like the lower production value. I have actually stopped watching some channels after it went up. It's a personal preference
The knowledge he’s already gained from his grandpa is immense. When he’s Toms age lord only knows what he will have accomplished. I’ve learned a far from Tom for 30 years. I can only imagine what it’s like to learn in person day in day out. Thanks for sharing this Kenan!!
Elijah has so much knowledge at such a young age, he's really gonna be a big respected name in the industry! Loved the interactions and how this content shows that with time and respect these animals can follow commands, show affection, and are more than just cold blooded eating machines! Happy New year everyone ✨ 💛
Is he though? What he does is apply common sense. But the risk is always there. When you handle these animals only one in thousand interactions needs to go wrong and that would be catastrophic. The average reptile keeper should think twice to interact with a croc monitor, just because You cant trust yourself to do everything right You need a keen eye and experience for such an end result. I dont see a revolution for 99% of reptile enthusiasts here. In the end everyone needs to weigh the risks.
@@42ZaphodB42 you’re looking at it black and white and speaking of the obvious. Tom has also spoken multiple times on the connection and intelligence of the animals which is where my comment stims from. Of course understanding the animal is paramount always and accidents are bound to happen from a mishap, but the fact is that the majority of people don’t view it in this particular direction or respect them in the way tom preaches. The mindless, instinctual animal thought is changing from further understanding -the way they move, think, interact and that’s something everyone can learn from. To learn their language, and movements, motives etc instead of jumping to fear or making mistakes and blaming the animal. Not everyone applies the same common sense and logic. So yes, I do think he is changing the way the Majority of the world perceives these animals.
I hope Kenan and Tom Crutchfield live to be 100 years old because the reptile community needs y'all's knowledge and guidance. Nice to see that Elijah will be passing the torch.
Tom is the OG of the hobby. Alot of the reptiles we keep in the hobby are because of Tom doing some not so legal things back in the day but if he didnt we would not have what we do, so Thanks Tom and thanks Kenan for always finding cool things to show us.
Kenan You had such a wonderful experience with that friendly croc monitor. You will never forget that interaction with him. It is so nice that Elijah is so educated, and understanding, and knowing the dwarf Caimen's personalities. Tom is a true legend with all of his knowledge, and experience with all of his reptiles. It is so important that he teaches people that they are not vicious, when you work with them, and gain their trust. Loved this video. ❤🦎Cindy
That was amazing. Up to now I wasn't especially interested in the Croc Monitors. But watching their intelligence and interactions with Tom and Stacy really opened my eyes. To actually see interest and affection from one was so cool. Thank you and Mr. Crutchfield for this experience.
The face on that monitor while Stacy was hugging him with adorable. Monitors are cute no matter how big they get. When Kevin holds a bunch of baby monitors it's just like he's holding little puppies or kittens because they're so adorable. I will never look at a Komodo dragon the same because they're just a bigger version of this beautiful animal. Oh I wish I was younger when I had learned about these amazing lizards. I would have had one. But I don't want a pet that's going to outlive me. I don't have anybody to pass them down to, and I don't know ANYBODY that would want me to pass one down to.😅🤣
Very unselfish comment and a lot of people don't think about stuff like that they just think I want it going to go get it and they don't think of the long-term effects.. but if you love something it would break your heart the thought of leaving it behind and what would happen to it when you're gone😢 my mom had large birds and that was something that we were faced with when she passed away although when she got the birds we had no idea that she was going to die so young she ended up with cancer could not have predicted that but it was a task three large parrots. My mom love those birds so much that she wanted them put to sleep and buried with her because she was worried what would end up happening to them. One of them my sister took and the bird even outlived her my sister has passed as well so he has outlived two owners
Tom crutchfield is quite literally my hero. I can't think of anyone in the reptile world I would rather pick their brain than him. The way he views animals and the way he views keeping animals is just beyond anything.
What a dream experience! Never thought we would see this level of interaction. Amazing what is possible with patience, time, and letting go of fear. Happy new year!
Kenan........ Greatly appreciate you documenting and sharing your experience with the Crutchfield family on their property..... Soak up every minute detail of information Tom and fam are willing to share...... We have come a long long way in our understanding of the larger predatory monitors and crocodilians over Toms lifetime..... Crutchfield and Mccurley are our pioneers and anytime spent around these magnificent creatures and shared experience form those dudes....... Priceless man........ Great content ... Appreciate you sharing ....
How can you not love that face, the croc monitors are so adorable and the way they are raised and given so much respect, tom really loves his animals just like you do. Amazing....
What an amazing experience and video! That was really educating to watch. He really seemed to like the attention! The way you two communicated as he made his way from the basking spot to your back was amazing. And then when you were done he looked excited to go to mama 😂 obviously a very happy lizard. I knew they were intelligent but I didn’t know they could be quite that emotionally intelligent. Slinky is obviously very smart, but this croc monitor’s “face cuddles” with her were something else. He had depth and you could really see it in his eyes. Slinky has it too. He looks at you the same way! He’s still figuring out Matt but I think he likes him 😂
Elijah has so much knowledge and respect for his animals, and they in turn have so much respect for him. And you can see why when you see Tom ❤️ so awesome. Good on you all. Its so true though. Fear, respect and trust goes both ways, with any animal. You have to know your animals, know their body language, their vocalisations. Know their individual personalities and quirks. It can be a long road but so worth it
The videos are so much better now!!! Thank you for taking the time to fix the cuts. I am so happy I can watch all your videos again. They make my day every day!!!
Tom is simply the best and his knowledge of so many animals not just reptiles is why so many ppl say tom is the reason they started keeping reptiles/animals
Unbelievable! First and foremost, the trust him and Stacey have is amazing. They just want affection and to interact, at least some with friendly DNA. You are so educated and informative about these monitors. After the piggy back ride, I realized I was holding my breath. 😱
Good to see Tom and his team. I agree with Tom, you've got to work with them if you want that special engagement, so I hope you can find the time Kenan. Thanks for taking us along, Hapoy New Year, and see you soon!
This was such an amazing visit! So kool how Elijah interacts with the Caimans & especially awesome how that Croc Monitor was riding around on your back!
AMAZING video!! So informative and exciting. The next Patreon signed photo has to be Kenan with the croc monitor down his back. I know that must have been a dream of his. It was amazing to see. Tom and his crew are incredible and Elijah is the reptile whisperer. What he did with the drawf camien... wow. I'd love to go to Tom's place someday. Thanks, Kenan, Matt, and Tom, wonderful video. Happy New Year to you and your families. I'm looking forward to what comes in 2023!
Amazing video, thankyou everyone involved! I’ve watched a few presenters on Tom now, and I don’t say lightly that you’ve been one if not the most respectful, of animals and people, and I deeply appreciate the example you are teaching. It’s hard being deeply passionate and amazed as well as controlling egos, best for man and beasties however difficult to learn appropriateness. I found our interactions maintained this consistently, inspirational work.
Another great video, I love the shots Matt, adorable when he was sticking his tongue out at the camera, I love listening to tom, he really knows his stuff and his grandson is following in his footsteps!
Tom is a legend in the reptile community ,some people might not know it was at Toms house where Tyler got bit by the cobra, not because of anything Tom did just a little fact.
I really enjoyed watching this!! I’m just watching with my leopard gecko, Asmo, and she was really interested the entire time! She just sits on my chest when we’re hanging out like this, and sometimes she even tries to interact with the videos
He has an insane collection. I’ve seen another video tour of his place. He has some super rare anoles and is doing great things with them. Moose is beautiful. Don’t see croc monitors that chill very often. I know Tom Crutchfield works with his and they are pretty chill. Baby Kush is somewhat chill as well. They are amazing animals. Great vid and hope you had fun at Animal Con 💜🐊🐍
Croc monitors are a truly awesome and wonderful species in their own, monitors are very special and very amazing and wonderful species every single one of them 😀 ❤️
It was such a fun episode! Kept me smiling throughout ! And you hear about tame crocodilians, but Tom has taken it to another level. I never thought of looking them in the eyes, can’t get past staring at the mouth…. Full of teeth.
What an incredible experience. I remember when you had Lagatha and how cranky she could be, albeit not her fault. This is the potential I dream of. To be able to pet, cuddle and tame down these incredible animals. They're so intelligent and have so much to offer the people who give them the right amount of time and care.
I really like how he introduced himself to you by a hand shake, but because you had some nervous energy he withdrew until you had regained your composure. What a beautiful species with an intelligence that most humans will never comprehend. You are all blessed to be able to socialise with these unique reptiles. By the way, I'd like some smaller monitors one day, like Varanus macraei or V auffenbergi, which I could learn to interact with. To be able to offer a V salvadori the generous space it requires is only within the capacity of a very few folks.
That was like watching a kid get 'the best Christmas present ever!' Brilliant video, all the best for 2023 and let's hope it starts out better than 2022 did for you.
There's a lot of talk about how dangerous croc monitors can be and sure, they have a nasty bite and big claws. They're still monitors and therefore smart and clearly they can learn who the threats are. Slinky is every bit as big as the one they called Scar Face. If he went off and bit someone I really doubt there would be a distinction made about it being good that he isn't a croc monitor. It would just be a bite from a big monitor lizard that is ultimately nasty as a result. I love it when you go to Tom's place especially now that you have your own "scary lizards." It's going to be cool to see you handling yours like this. It'll happen some day and you'll have more Slinky like big lizards of your own.
Dang Kenan, that was wild. What a crazy experience you had and showed. Was really cool to see. I watch all your videos that come out and this one was special with the cro I'd watch a 1.5 hr video with Tom Crutchfield any day of the week. This was a really cool video to start off 2023. Congrats, and I hope you have a wonderful year and continue to put out a lot more amazing material, as usual!
To work with these guys would be amazing... Just seeing how they all are with their animals is incredible. No wonder tom is such a huge name in the trade.
Wow! I thought kenans place was amazing 😳😬 this place is mind blowing. The personality of all your reptiles is incredible, the work and dedication you have shows through your animals happiness and trust.

Kenan hanging out with the Croc Monitor was worth the 28-minute video. I'm sure it was a bucket-list thing Kenan has wanted to be able to accomplish.
We never stop learning and gaining valuable experience. Happy new years!
Happy New Year to you and yours @KampKenan.
What are you trying to tell us?
@Eli Rivera that’s what makes the channel. You can still hear them talking just fine.

The hand reaction from the croc just showed how comfortable he is around humans. Love it!

Frikin awesome. What an experience you had there at Toms place. Your love and respect for these animals shows.
This videos are amazing. Elijah is so good with this animals. I never would expect this from a person his age. This is so refreshing to see
That’s one experience you’ll never forget. Tom the master love videos from Tom’s place always amazing.
Tom does amazing work 🙌 I hope everyone at the Kamp and Toms family have a great New Year and wish you all the best 🙋♂️✌️
Happy new year!

Beautiful Crocmonitors so awesome to see how interactive they are
It is so rare to see lovable cuddly croc monitors! Most are hissing at and tail whipping everyone. Even the caiman were well behaved. Happy New year!
That is amazing ! I can literally feel that croc Monitor just relax with her. His eyes just dropped in peace. How cool !
Me Crutchfield and his family are truly truly amazing and wonderful people!
That was insane... don't thinkbi could remained as calm as you, Kenan haha. Well done!
I love interactions Tom has with his croc monitors.
Great video once again. I love the monitors. I wish I would have gotten one when I was younger though. I think he really liked you. Well done video.
Wow! That was awesome to watch! You definitely need to start working with your monitors to tame them as much as these are.

There’s so much more to reptiles than people know. It’s cool to see these huge lizards look for affection from humans
I really enjoyed watching this!! I’m just watching with my leopard gecko, Asmo, and she was really interested the entire time! She just sits on my chest when we’re hanging out like this, and sometimes she even tries to interact with the videos
👍🤠
Absolutely loved to see you interacting with the croc monitor! Thanks for sharing!
Top O' the morning to everyone! Happy New Year!
How cool was that? The level of trust that monitor had with you after just meeting was incredible. Maybe you give off a good guy vibe.
22:12 The handholding is so cute.

Love seeing toms family so involved.
It was such a fun episode! Kept me smiling throughout ! And you hear about tame crocodilians, but Tom has taken it to another level.
I never thought of looking them in the eyes, can’t get past staring at the mouth…. Full of teeth.
I believe Tom Crutchfield is an Awesome, well educated man. He is so knowledgeable and helpful to other You Tubers that keep and .9ve reptiles!

Kenan i cried because of this. Great people and so you cam see how animals are tame. Holy spirit how beautifull🙏🌈🐉🦎🐢
Tom is one of the top reptile role models I learn from
This is so awesome I’m a few minutes in and totally amazed can I get a hug that was so sweet
That was like watching a kid get 'the best Christmas present ever!' Brilliant video, all the best for 2023 and let's hope it starts out better than 2022 did for you.

Wow! I thought kenans place was amazing 😳😬 this place is mind blowing. The personality of all your reptiles is incredible, the work and dedication you have shows through your animals happiness and trust.
Camera man is starting to become a beast with the angles shout-out Matt for doing an awesome job!!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Amazing!!!! What a surreal experience!
That is so cool and Tom is such a fountain of knowledge.
Not sure you have ever heard of Tank the turtle Kenan but if you look him up on youtube you will be amazed at this extremely tame snapping turtle that follows its owners like a puppy and sits with them on the couch and wants to be handled
Communication is key. You have a understand the behaviors and signs that you are seeing and amazing things are possible.
I'm so jealous, 😂 For real though, these are one of my favorite Lizards. It's the eyes that hooked me ❤
Very impressive, thank you and Tom for that amazing video. We are proud to have our Guayana Red Tail Boas trust us and having no fear beeing handled but this is a completely different level. Thanks a lot and keep up the educational work. 👍
Happy new year everyone and wishing you all a happy new year and best wishes to all
Great video sounds great audio pet reptile. Happy New Year
