I totally agree
One piece of Rock is the most respected repro brand for denim heads in Japan. The brand does their own research on vintage denims. Sometimes would debate small details against Levi’s.

I love that Connors version of the type one Levi’s… The denim looks like it’s better quality… Do the original Levi’s have a similar type of denim? And do the modern remakes of that jacket use a different type of denim or something similar to what you have.?
Thanks, I really love all they do. I believe that Conners sources similar weave/weight per the year and model they are making, so I bet it's pretty close.
I really like that tan version of a type three or type two? Jacket… Is that canvas or denim? Obviously that doesn’t have to be blue or black just wondering thank you
That's from Rising Sun (now closed though). It's a Duck Canvas from Mount Vernon mills I believe. This might have been made in a blue duck also, but I don't remember. I don't think it was ever denim though.

I'm a bit confused with your type 3 jacket. I was under the assumption that care tags weren't on any big "E" unless it may be a crossover in 71? Based on my own research, I have the opposite of what you have. I have a jacket that I believe is made in Canada (union made) with 75505-2017 two pockets, either cropped or just boxy looking size 46, with no care tags and a small "e". Thoughts?
Hi, it might just be a factory thing too. Levi's had different factories all over so some might have done things different than the others. Like 501's from Texas have the back belt loop offset from other factories. It might be a crossover like you mentioned or just an operator forgetting to add one to your jacket and it got sent anyway. Everything Levi's made was hand made and only as good as the person making it.
@@derekdoeschannel Do you know if 75505-2017 is Canadian made by any chance? I'm trying to pinpoint as best I can with what I have because I don't have the care tags. Apparently Heddles is a good starting place. I've seen others with 75505-2017 with 4 digits before it. Mine is 2032, as best as I can see. It's quite faded. Also, what does "union made" mean?
@@colinbernard3542 Sorry, I'm not an expert on that. I'm more general. Probably just keep searching and finding examples with non faded tags and see what comes up.
I found a broken weave denim Levi’s jacket at an antique store. I believe it’s newer as it’s a type 3 with a red tag. But I haven’t been able to find anything else on it. Could you point me in the direction of a forum or resource I could use to learn more about it?
Is it spelled LEVIS or LeVIS? Just do a search on type 3s and you should find what you’re looking for.
@@derekdoeschannel I’ll need to try and grab it or get photos. I believe it was faded out. If there’s an inside tag I can date it and get a model number right?
@@SeanAlexanderThirtyEight the tab is double sided so check the backside. If it still has the inside tag it should have some numbers on it that should help
@@derekdoeschannel it had a little “e” but the other tags show it was made in 2018. I can send pics if you’d like, but it’s most likely just a special edition denim repro(?).
