Zermatt is a World Class mountain for skiing and snowboarding. My friends and I travel from the US to Zermatt just to experience this mountain last year. It was truly a trip of a lifetime.
Einhorn Travel Accessories I can’t recall the trail #, but it was the run from the peak of Zermatt into Cervinia was my favorite. Only to be able to say I snowboarded from Switzerland to Italy 😊. It was one of the reason why we came to Zermatt, was to be able to do that run.
Thank you for your video, probably the most useful and informative Zermatt guide. Its pretty difficult to plan a trip (from US) without knowing anything about the region and the resort. Your video really helped.
I'm going to visit my sister stationed in Belgium. We're going skiing in the Alps. I heard this was the mountain to go to. I've never been to Europe before or outside of the US, really. Looking forward to it.
This was great to see having been there a few weeks over the years. My favorite restaurants are Findlerhof, Chez Vrony, and Stafelalp (though if you are on snowboard you might need to hike out a bit). What I love most about Zermatt is snowboarding in the morning then an amazing late lunch on the mountain. After lunch a few more runs, then end at Cervo for a warm drink, they give you blankets if the cold sets in. We tended to eat light at night and instead have the heavy meal on the mountain.
Great tips & views - Merci! We're thinking about flying into Geneva and skiing Chamonix and Zermatt (3 days each) ... and fill our boots 🙂 X O California
Totally agree that piste 11 from Rothorn is great. I generally think that the Sunnegga area is great as it is the least crowded area and has the fewest tourists. But the valley run has some really narrow and steep pitches which is not too enjoyable. Also agree that Cervinia 6 from 3300m is one of the best, even better than Cervinia 7 as that side get moguled more quickly!
Hi. Thanks for the video. Will be in zermatt for april to experience some spring ski. How are the conditions in april? We are staying by the sunnega lift in town. What would be the quickest way to the matterhorn? Thanks again
Great video 👏🏻 you just convinced me to go there for my next ski holiday. Do you know if the snow is any good in April. I’m thinking about going there for Easter
Zermatt actually has snow all year round - but of course the summer skiing is limited to the very highest piste. Personally, I wouldn’t leave it until April - but it depends a bit on the season and how much snow they’ve had that year. Let me know if you go!
Hi mate, thanks for the nice video. Money is an issue for me :)) so my question is, should I stay at the Cervinia side then ski to Zermatt and stay there for a night before coming back?
@@EinhornTravelAccessories thanks, i see that we can add this train costs to the skipas too :) one more question, what is the point of putting the car on train? we cant use it in Zermatt, so it will be just parked in Zermatt, instead of Tasch?
I love The North Wall in Zermatt. Such a fun, cool atmosphere and really good pizza and nachos

It certainly is awesome. Did you have a favorite run?

I know that run - it goes for ever! Awesome run :-)
Fluhalp - up the rothorn area. Great views and brilliant food.

Thank you - I hope you were able to plan a successful trip :-)

I hope you have as much fun there as we do!

Awesome. It’s a brilliant place where you can enjoy the entire day on the mountain without getting bored :-)

Enjoy! Make sure you buy the pass the includes Italy - its very cool to ski into another country to have lunch :-)

Glad to have a cameo in your video!
It was a great weekend as usual mate! Stay safe back in Oz and we’ll see you soon.
There is also a link to your Zermatt video from a couple of years back in the video description.....
Hi mate, thanks for the nice video. Money is an issue for me :)) so my question is, should I stay at the Cervinia side then ski to Zermatt and stay there for a night before coming back?
To be honest, I haven’t stayed on the Cervinia side - but I would expect it to be cheaper than Zermatt. Let me know how you go.
@@EinhornTravelAccessories Hi, would early season or late season be cheaper in terms of hotel at Zermatt?
if we stay in Tasch, we need to buy the train ticket to Zermatt every day? or it is free with skipas?
You have to buy the train ticket each day or buy a multi-day pass. Its something you have to weigh up versus the cost of staying in Zermatt
@@EinhornTravelAccessories thanks, i see that we can add this train costs to the skipas too :)
one more question, what is the point of putting the car on train? we cant use it in Zermatt, so it will be just parked in Zermatt, instead of Tasch?
Is it important to buy your lift ticket ahead of time? Or do you recommend buying there? Thanks!
I always bought tickets once I was there in Zermatt. I think it is perhaps a bit more expensive, but that way I could choose each day what to do.
Stadel restaurant will be closing in 2024, if not before - relocating to somewhere that isn’t Zermatt. Sigh.
What is the perfect time to visit Zermatt with a lot of snow?
I’d suggest February and March. Zermatt has snow all year round - but not all runs are open of course
Thank you so much for wasting my time with your adds
Thank you for taking the time to comment :-)
Learn how to pronounce it. It's ZERmatt not zerMATT.
