What a great video! Zermatt has been on my bucketlist for a long long time and now I am finally going there in march! 😃 This skiing area is just next level and I cannot wait… Thanx for boosting my enthusiasm even more with this video! 🙏
What a well-done video! That was a great summary. It was also very relatable and helpful as you appear to ski much as I do. I also enjoyed the enthusiasm and tips. Thanks so much!
Loved seeing the Matterhorn - it is on my bucket list. It’s nice to know that you don’t have to ski to enjoy. You all are great and get the most out of your adventures.
We stayed at the Matterhorn Inn in Tasch. It was great! Here's our affiliate link if you end up booking there: www.booking.com/hotel/ch/alpenhotel.en.html?aid=8073218&no_rooms=1&group_adults=2

Love this, so missed our skiing this year as busy getting Leopard finished to set of travelling, but this just gave us a little taste all over again.... glad you had a fabulous time x
Going to Zermatt next week. You guys have made a great video, very informative. As this ski “resort/town” is so huge to what we usually see in states did you guys use any kind of app to check which runs are open? And also to navigate between different part of the mountains? Thank you!
I'm sure you already know this (I hope) but you could have easily skied from the Sunnegga side to Gornergrat side, no need to take the tram back, walk, take the 45 mins train up. All 3 sides are connected by ski slopes. Same goes go Gornergrat to Glacier Paradise.
Yes definitely! We saw there were some runs that connected but since it was Kyle's first time skiing (usually snowboards) we didn't see any routes that fit the skill level so spent the extra time going up and down! Thanks for the clarification!
I think that's a tough call! If you're really trying for the most budget friendly, Tasch will definitely save you money and is a nice little town as well. That being said, you won't pay THAT much more staying in Zermatt given that you have to pay the extra train fee from Tasch. Cheers and have a great trip!
This area is Zermatt! I believe the ski part is called Matterhorn Paradise. The cost is around $100 for a single day but you can get it a bit cheaper with a multi day.
To be honest, we're not too familiar with sole protectors but I would say it depends on what kind of skier you are. If you think you'll be out all day on the slopes, it probably isn't needed. If you think you might frequently hang in town between runs, it could be helpful. In that regard though, there are a lot of food and drinks on mountain with incredible views. Another couple notes: we are pretty average skiers so you really could ski from area to area if you are good with more challenging runs. They do have a great shuttle throughout as well! Overall, we think you will be okay without. Hope that helps!
man that looks awesome. going on a family trip and i cant seem to understand the lifts? If we buy the ski pass, were able to ski, but how do we get to the top? i understand the train but do we have to get tickets for the train or does that come with the ski pass? thanks guys awesome video
Thank you for the support! Yes, it was an amazing ski spot. So all of the lifts you saw us go on were included in the ski pass - the trains, gondolas, lifts, and funicular. Let us know if you have any other questions!
Thank you! I'm sure you all will have an amazing time! We used Matterhorn Sport which is right in the middle of Zermatt. They were helpful and have great prices as well. www.matterhornsport.ch/en

Hai my i got an info, how to get the zermatt ski pass? Can i buy it for 1 day? Can i got an extra discount with swiss half fare pass? Do you have recommendations for ski equipment rentar?
Hi there! Yes, you can buy it for any amount of days and there is actually a small discount the more days you stay! Unfortunately, there is no discount with the Swiss Pass or anything. We rented ours from Matterhorn Sport and they were great! www.matterhornsport.ch/contact
It fluctuates a bit by time of year and specific date but we paid about $75 USD for the lift ticket. Equipment is separate and we paid around $40 USD. Hope that helps!
@@sir_vicky Hi there! You can certainly buy it upon arrival but I think there is a slight discount in doing so online. We purchased from their official site: www.matterhornparadise.ch/en/Book/Online-tickets
Brilliant video, Zermatt looks beautiful, and an extra like for the Pixel phone 👍
Thank you! Haha pixel gang!!

Wow! You guys nailed this video for someone wondering how to start the ski trip in Zermatt. Thanks for this 🎉

Thanks so much for the support, David! (This was the first super thanks we ever received and it made our day!!!)
@@StNickTravels Thanks so much for the video. Very informative and very useful to plan my travels to Zermatt. Best from nyc
Is it snow visible and skiable and are the slopes open in september?
Yes, it is definitely skiable but not in September. I think their season is late-March to early-April!

Thank you! Yes, we used the Skiguide Zermatt app and it was quite helpful. Definitely recommend downloading in preparation for your trip!
Going here next week - this video has been so helpful guys thank you so much
Glad it was helpful, have a fantastic trip!
Great video guys. One question, the train/railroad you took is free or it comes with the ski passes?
Thank you so much! It comes with the ski passes actually. It is possible to purchase the train pass separately though as well!

Headed to Zermatt this March2024! Was it worth it to stay in Tasch and pay the rail fee do you think as opposed to just staying in Zermatt??

we were there is April - fantastic, so we have booked for Xmas
That is amazing! We could totally see it being an annual trip. I bet Christmas will be a beautiful time!
What's name of ski area?
How much is cost for ski lift?❤
This area is Zermatt! I believe the ski part is called Matterhorn Paradise. The cost is around $100 for a single day but you can get it a bit cheaper with a multi day.
Heading there in Feb 2024...seems there is a lot of road walking. Would "sole protectors" for our ski boots make sense?

@17:31 what kyle ditched the board and learned how to ski that well in his first 2 days ?
Yes! He only snowboarded growing up and this was his second time ever going on the skis! I (Rebecca) was quite impressed!
What date was this ?
This is mid-March 2023! Planning a trip?
What an epic place to ski! I was waiting for Kyle to backflip off into an orange run. ⛷
You know I did!! Accidentally forgot to hit record though.... Whoops!
