Mate... Kronplatz a secret???? Maybe to americans, but it's one of the best and really known Dolomites resort that gets LOTS of people from all over Europe, making it quite crowded at the time of school holidays at all the neighboring countries.. I'd be very very hard pressed to say it's a well kept secret 🤣 But I do love it, my favorite, absolutely, just surprised to see it in "hidden ski resorts" video..

Just got back from a Kronplatz . It’s just as the writer said, very popular with southern and eastern Europeans. But it’s so big that you never run into another skier. They did a great job of managing conditions in this low snow year. We’ll go back.

I live 30 minutes from Kronplatz/Plan de Corones. Yes, it’s well crowded siringa holiday times, but you have to wait for the gondolas only for the one that start from the bottom villages, once you are on top, moving between the many areas there aren’t much traffic, there are times when you took a 10 seats gondola totally alone. But i wouldn’t say it’s an hidden gem, it’s well known, for many years it was elected Best Ski area in Italy.

Io ci abito vicino, 30 minuti circa.

depends on what region you want to visit but these heights are quite the standard around the alps. For example the oberstdorf area including 3 ski areas. But if you search for a real typical resort i would say ski welt wilder kaiser is one of the best. But why do sou have a max height, sounds very interesting? Also most of the places in the video are the most crowded places in the alpes dont be fooled
