      Thank-you! We had heard horror stories regarding the crossing and how technical it was - however it was quite straightforward and not difficult for experienced off-track hikers.

    This is probably a bit higher than usual, but not by much. Last Nov (after 6 months of no rain in Alice) the water level was about the same. Although we got some rain in May, it flushes out very quickly (usually within 1-2wks).

      Yes, we didn't see it but there is a footprint/campsite in the gorge itself called Hugh gorge junction I think, it is near Hugh Gorge Waterhole
