From Tokyo (Haneda) to Naha, it takes about 3 hours by plane.

Thanks for watching
I would like to see a traditional dish from a very old village. Something that you could not get anywhere but that village.
Oh yes, me too!
Haha, I KNEW right away you were going to end up getting both dishes XD Hard to choose just one! I love your videos so much, both on this channel and the other one - so relaxing and makes me forget about any stress for a moment. Thank you for sharing your adventures with us!
This is the only channel I check regularly to make sure I haven’t missed an upload. I love these videos! 😊✌️
Does anyone else play a little game of trying to guess what the food is before the subtitles?
Literally my favourite creator on RUclips ❤
When I first saw the tacorice I wasn't sure about it (being part Mexican) but the longer I looked at it, the more I wanted to eat it! My friend and my husband say the reason I enjoy your videos so much is because we are kindred spirits because I say, 'I'll only have a little bit to eat' and come back with loads of food. But how can one choose just ONE thing when everything looks so good! Thank you for making such great videos. Love them all!
😂😂😂 AJ 👏🏼 you made me laugh 🌼
These videos make me crave food I’m allergic to, like gluten, dairy, eggs, pork, seafood. 2 weeks ago today I succumbed, there was an instant ramen pot. It’s been there taunting me for about 18 months, but I had to have it. I took 8 small forkfuls omg drool…delusional! I was I’ll later that evening and the following 2 days but, sometimes we have to give into temptation before it’s constantly on someone’s mind until for some people it becomes a binge session.
I don’t have enough foods I can eat and have in the house to do that. Maybe rice cakes & banana or a flavoured rice, I’m not a sweet fan either. I don’t much like chocolate, something that’s real fruit flavoured and chewy I’ll do that sometimes but I’m not good with enumbers, colour and sugar.
As for cakes, biscuits/cookies, pancakes, muffins, crumpets, wraps…I’ve never liked them anyway so it’s not difficult to resist something I don’t want 😂 I can have gf ones of course, I don’t know how to describe it, apart from yuck! The autistic part of me doesn’t do weird textures 😂
A couple of weird things I crave…weetabix/wheat biscs, apples & peas. Not the usual cravings 😂but a wheatabix, chilled soya milk and some faux sweetener, 🤤I see the children eating them as I look at my rice cakes and I want to have them 😂
@@lilacscentedfushias1852 Weet-Bix are awesome.
The taco rice plate has most or all of the ingredients of a super burrito. Only thing missing is the large flour tortilla to wrap it up in.
The first time I saw "Tacorice" as a word I pronounced it the same as you would say "licorice" and now I can't stop reading it like that.
I like the fact that all the different areas in Japan are known for their very own specialty dishes. It's similar to the USA as every state has some special dish they are known for. 😋
Yes! I would love for Solo to do a 50 state tour and see what foods he likes best in each state. I think he would be pleasantly surprised by how different foods are from state to state. ✌🏻😊
The best Okinawan soba and rafute I had were near American Town. The latter, Kinpaginpa, needed reservations. It's close to the conveyer belt sushi place. The soba place was near a dive shop. There are many autographs on the wall, and usually a line.
Manga Souko is a must visit store.
Okinawa is on my bucket list!
Fu is usually called seitan here in the USA, but apparently that name was invented in 1961 and for a while used like a brand name.
Always admire japanese's food...the display is the same with the real one....👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
Japan’s*
My Mom is Okinawan so this was especially fun to watch. I also am a big rice eater and have noticed that you often get a "large rice" whenever you can and even seconds sometimes. When my wife and I visited Okinawa a couple of decades ago, she converted to Okinawan food being her absolute favorite. Thanks for the tour.
I was surprised he didn't get Curry with the rice. He loves Curry and rice.
Thanks!
Thanks for the super!
19:15 'a little dessert' 🤣🤣
Solo-San is always full of surprises. 🫠🍛🍜
And I believe that “chocolate-covered marshmallow” is called “fondant.”
I have decided that I want to move to Japan.
My dad went here when he was in the military. He retired a few months ago
I laughed when your fu chanpuru order also came alongside your Okinawa soba haha. Great yummy showcase as always!!😋
Great video. I like it too. 👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️
Chicken in a sweet and sour sauce with a large rice and a Solo Travel vod. Excellent food, excellent video. My thanks as always .
Prepared my snacks ...lessgoooo
Finally! The video is here been waiting !!!!
9:34 the Croque Madam looks amazing. Honestly, I don’t typically eat them but this one I would eat. Very nice.
All the food looked good….along with the croque madam, the Fu looked delicious. I absolutely love stir fried veggies, tofu and fu. I also like fu in my miso soup. ✌🏻💕😊
You wanting to eat both dishes does not surprise me , your favorite and noodles , how could you go wrong , both look so delicious enjoy
I cannot believe the amount of delicious-looking food you are able to consume.
Wow! All that food looks amazing. The fu looks like a must try, and I was excited to discover a new Japanese restaurant is opening just a few blocks away, so I will see if they have it. Thanks for taking us along again.
Thanks! I hope you enjoy the new restaurant there!
I've watched a ton of your videos. Love the content. First time I've had actual culture shock with your videos on this one. That Ice Cream Float threw me for a loop lol, wouldn't mind giving it a try though!
Copyright infringements on background noise is ridiculous. It doesn't make any sense whatsoever and I'm sorry you had to put fake audio in its place for the algorithm to allow your video.
Thankyou for always showing us the best of Japan! Love from Perth Australia
Hahaha I love that you eat so much! Great videos. Please if you can do connivance store videos buying snacks. That would be amazing 😊
Love your videos, Mr world-class eater! ✌💜
Another Great video. Love all the diversity in food in each province.
Whooo! Thank you for making my day better! All of your work is appreciated.
So glad to see a lot of double exclamation points! Thank you for bringing us along. That taco rice looked good.
I am not satisfied....I want more food videos about okinawa...more,more,more....anyway nice and interesting video ..Thank You for always make interesting and informative video.
That "taco rice" and the fu were both interesting. Nice episode.
Another great video! I had been wondering if you gave up on your food channel. I’m glad you didn’t!!
I can't wait to see Japan in person.
Beautiful! Of course the food is as beautiful as the scenery. I'm glad you enjoyed yourself, even if the float didn't quite work out.
I miss living in Okinawa. I wanna go back
First time I tried Taco Rice, I was surprised how well it worked, too! Fun video.
Solo-san, you should go to one of those dessert buffet, or do a curry compilation. Either way, love your videos, i really like eating along with you, even if its a different meal
Thoroughly enjoyed the Okinawa food tour. I would have loved to try the taco salad. Looks like they gave you the entire avocado. You hotel room was nice, especially the shower. Will definitely go with you on the next one. Take care, stay safe.
What a wonderful range of foods - thank you for eating, enjoying and sharing with us!
I've never had a croque madame with chicken and bacon before - only ham and gruyere. But yours looked so good I'm going to have to try it one evening this week for dinner! Thanks for the inspiration, and for taking us along with you as you travel!
Taco salads are very popular in Arizona USA with avocado
Ah! I am SO jealous! I'll be flying within the US, and the airports I'll be in have nothing but chain restaurant food - greasy and overpriced. How I would love soba, whether made with flour or buckwheat, and fish cakes in a soup of fish stock, with a few slices of tender pork.
Red sweet potato ice cream sounds amazing!!
You should try using a tripod. Love all of the videos!
Wow what a great video, Thank you for sharing with us and it all looked so good!
P.s OMG that ship on the ocean, just think of the sea sickness they were feeling lol
All of these dishes looks so delicious!! I wish I could try them myself! 😋😍
Just like in America, the economy hotels usually have a 7-11 near by lol. All the foods you ate looked so ono. But the airport soba and the toast meals at the coffee shop were my favorite choices. Thank you for taking us along for some good food treats.
I felt I was missing something. Oh, haven't seen STJ in a couple of days. Oh good, a food video! They're the best! Except maybe the ferry ones.
I just had dinner. But I'm hungry again!
Hi my fav goodness this food looks amazing i love this video.
You should put together a small group food/train/ferry/plane tour of Japan! I’d take it
I did 41 years ago in Kin and shopped in Naha.
Taco rice was a new idea to me. It looked really good! Thanks for the great videos as always!
During the 1980s, Taco Rice was developed by Okinawan restauranteurs as a Tex-Mex style dish, to cater to the U.S. military personnel stationed in Okinawa.
Thirty years ago I was going to Mexican places that had big burritos stuffed with pretty much everything on that p!ate. It was really GOOD. No need to again eat till the next day cuz it was so filling.
My Dad was stationed at Okinawa and my little Brother was born there
Now this video makes me want to go to Okinawa just to take in the good food you have in this video. Darn, I’m hungry:P
Have you ever considered going to bunny island?
I was thinking you would end up with both dishes lol
I’m here for the bus stop..😅
Are there picnic grounds around there or in a park or on a beach?
I've seen you go to vending machines and bring back food & beverage with you to eat later. I don't remember if it was on a bus or in a room on a ferry.
When eating at a restaurant, I can't eat the whole meal due my hernia. I request a box or two to boxed up the rest to eat later. Is that done in Japan?
I WANT TACORICE. I'll eat just about anything with avocado
That croissant @ 20:20 looked really good! BTW did you know 'salsa' is the Spanish word for 'sauce'?
👋
Aaand now I'm hungry
The marshmallow skewer looks like it was supposed to be fondue...
IT all looka great, except for sunny side up eggs. I hate the runny yolk flavor. but eat what you like. :)
the egg on the croque madam was JUST how i like my eggs, too... runny eggs are nice but i love the texture when it's just barely set!
If you ve been to okinawa by ferry from sapporo, it would be better and longer
you’ve*
Would it be a Solo Travel video if he didn't get both food items? Classic.
Okinawa as a holiday destination, absolutely 💯! But as a gastronmic destination, not so sure.
Uhhh. 🤤
Super channel from hungary🇭🇺🇭🇺👍👍Hungarian subtitle for the video plz!🇭🇺🇭🇺👋👋🐎🐎🐕🏆💯😘
Not a blue zone tour
I'll just have a little dessert. And then 19:13
Well, taco rice looks good but I think it's a Japan only offering. :)🤣

Try Coke Float
Where is the curry rice?
You ate through half your food budget before you even.left.the.airport........
Maybe you try something traditional, cooked in old traditonal places, healthy, organic and of course tasty !!!That would be a pleasure to see ang know !!!These are....comercial and found all over the world !!!
Some tastesvare for me very strane... Like sweet potato icecream. But I'd like to prove an Okinawa mandarine (citrus depressa) juice... Can You explain US the difference between a normal mandarine taste and an Okinawa one?
¿Taco what? I´m from México. That´s not a anithing taco.

Varied selection of food but not sure about the pigs ear?
I'm sorry..but...how big stomach do you have..??!!??😯😯😯 that was a lot of food..😬
LOOKS LIKE MAINLY CARBS DIET NO IDEA HOW YOU GUYS STAY SKINNY
The diets are also high in Omega-3 oils, which helps low cholesterol levels and reduce weight gain.
I think the content of this channel and main channel have been dwindling down over the past few months. I have been following ever since the beginning of both channels and to be honest it's just getting more and more disappointing. It's just boring watching him eating similar things across Japan, or eating at random restaurants in the station/airport. He could have walked several blocks to a more authentic one and showed us what 'travel' really means and not lots of routine stuff.
