I'd have to agree Brian. Decent DA's really don't cost that much money anymore unless you're going for a Flex or Rupes. Hell, I have a Das 6 DA thats still going strong nearly 3 years after I bought it and it only cost about £120.
😂 I have something similar that I bought back in the 90's. Hahaha! It was a 120volt corded version. All jokes aside, if it doesn't stall, and if it came in a 3 inch, I would get rid of my G9. Thanks Brian!
it might be okay for someone who wants to do a polishing wax, or for applying a sealer once a year. i wouldnt expect much in the way of durability from it.
I find these to be great for anyone starting out . Whether your doing a light polish , applying wax , headlights or windshield cleaning. Definitely not a bad buy thanks for the video review as always Brian.
I can’t say it enough. You have some new and amazing content with these polishers and reviews. You remind me of project farm. I have no affiliation with him. Just a great honest in depth review as you do. Thanks Brian
It's funny you said that because that's exactly what it reminds me of, a timeing belt in an engine. And i always go for an engine with a timing chain If I can do it. Great video Brian!! 👍🏼
I picked up one of these, just a different brand, for spreading waxes and sealants.. honestly it’s still in the box, haven’t used it. I just throw a 4” pad on the PXE80 3” plate and apply that way, works great.
I worked in a shop where semi truck cabs from dump truck beaters to the ginormous condos/ski slope sleepers rolled in. These cordless would have been a SLAYER to reach across those rigs. To mainly act as a final cleaner wax/sealant (home made 3-n-1) applicator. Same goes for the windshield/glass cleanup.
@tsyriac very well!! Get around the car in about 5 min. Or I pit the 476s on by hand and take off with it!! It doesn't come with all accessories this one does but the pads and machine is all I need
I really like the aesthetics and ergonomics of this tool, it’s a shame it doesn’t perform. The Mirka is $800 and this is $100. You’d think there’d be a polisher with this design in between. 🍻
There's a lot of machines like this under different names that go up to 5200 rpm. Brian can you compensate for the lack of power by using a high quality compound and compound pads ?
They’re Japanese I believe. I have they’re cordless 6” 15mm polisher. Takes makita batteries and I have a bunch of them. Haven’t used it yet so can’t say anything on it’s performance yet.
All the extra bits like the pads and sanding disc put me off. I even looked at palm sanders as a option to put my pads on but in the end went with a Random orbital wired polisher.
What do you think of this one? It is a pass for what I do here.
AGREED

That’s different been seeing this type of polisher a lot lately. At least it does something 🤔 great as always buddy!
I have one that I use mainly with a synthetic clay disk....works great and saves a lot of time...

May be good for applying waxes

A good beginner machine.Thanks Brian 👊🏼🛞
This is probably what I should have gone for but I went with a Milwaukee DA it’s super nice tho
Do you think a polisher like this is any good for anything other than waxing and some light polishing?
Its good for spray waxes and sealants!
Awesome video and product review good friend
I bought one from temu it's the same as this but 49 dollars and red!! Only one battery but I use to spread my collinite and butter waxes
How does it work spreading collonite?

Wax spreader. 👍🏼
I think it's good for a cleaner wax!
what was the part left out at the end? the brake?
I think with the amount of stuff it comes with is quite reasonable that said it would be nice if it was smaller for 1 to 3 inch
You have some really good videos, however you need to do something about the poor sound quality and volume.
Probably suited 4 just applying waxes or sealants
My opinion is that it will not work well for paint correction. If you're on a budget, then buy a Porter Cable 7424XP.
Ya but the Porter Cable is not cordless. Dragging that stupid cord around to just apply wax quickly is a pain

Wilfredo Alley
I wonder how much it cost manufactures to really make something like this?
I'd use it to apply a sealant with a soft black pad. If it breaks, just through it away.
😬 printer motor....and belt😮
Just a dedicated wax applicator really.
Not for me.
Thanks… but pass
