Scott being wary about collating with other games and their dev teams is understandable completely, FMAF is a franchise he built from scratch, with deep and Rich lore and story, that he doesn’t want to be ruined in any way. But if there’s one team I’d be fine working with if I was Scott, would be BHVR because they take great care of the licensing they have, and they honour the source material and keep it mainly unchanged, aside from small changes so a killer/survivor/ map would make sense in the DBD universe.

Great! This definitely makes the collab a lot more likely to happen. Based on what he’s saying here though, I do think Scott would want to implement a jumpscare/ camera system of some sort, or both. If Springtrap would be like that amazing fanmade teaser trailer, he’d feel more like a slasher, giving the wrong impression of the series for people that have their first interaction with Fnaf through dbd. DBD generally handles IP’s really well, so I’m confident they can work on a version that Scott will be happy with
I think DbD could definitely keep FNaF true to its lore and feeling. My favorite example of them doing this right is the Silent Hill chapter. The Silent Hill chapter got me obsessed with Silent Hill, and I know I'm not the only one. I don't see why they wouldn't be able to do the same with FNaF.
I give him props for wanting to protect his brand. Brand integrity is one of the biggest things you want to keep cause the moment it changes the moment you either lose the style and the people or lose the brand entirely. Look at Disney. Disneys biggest thing is brand integrity & they have lasted because of it. Gotta give Scott props for looking at it more in a future perspective then just the right now.
I've never played the games, but I just saw the live action movie and I'm all in on the Springtrap train. We'll have to get the Pizzeria itself as a map and that alone would be sick.
Yeah I’m not gonna hold you, I think when he said mismatched he was speaking about Fortnite. Because Fortnite does not respect collabs, and the Fortnite lore does not correlate alongside certain universes and games nor with certain things such as a story line. Nor do they match fnafs lore. I think it would be 10 times more likely for them to be included in dbd. Since fnafs graphic horror concept. After all. It is a horror game. Not a pvp first person shooter. ❤️🕷️UPDATE I WAS FUCKING RIGHT ITS DBD🕷️❤️
i think if ever, it'll be 2025/2026. high possibility FNAF 2 will dig into the Afton lore, and i highly believe if we ever get FNAF it will be the movie, the game just has too many holes for dbd to consider. dbd would be fools to not have the chapter be Afton based as the Aftons are a key symbol for FNAF, even people outside of the fandom know the Aftons. also makes more sense for a chapter to drop that promotes something, like the next upcoming movie. i dont think before is completely ruled out as they most likely have actors casted for the next movie already, if the next movie is Afton based.
@@Nachosthepug correction: the FNAF 2 poster looks like the toys, so they may be dedicating two movies to FNAF 1/FNAF 2 and Michael Schmidt? im not sure, unless their going to confirm the age old theory of Michael Schmidt and Michael Afton being the same person? its very unlikely but in atleast the FNAF 2 or FNAF 3 movie the other Afton's should show up.
The only thing i can think of why Scott wouldn't want Springtrap inside of DBD is because the lore for DBD has all the characters being brought from different worlds to be placed in these trials by a eldritch god and Scott might not want the FNAF fandom to interpret as anything canon to the lore or he's just worried it'd mess with things somehow
if it's fortnite and not dbd, i'll be EXTREMELY disapointed. scott said he wouldn't collab if he doesn't think fnaf would match to be in that game. Fortnite does NOT suit fnaf. Dead by daylight 100% suits fnaf.
If Scott was wanting to collaborate, DBD would be the best place to start, we often like to take jabbs at BHVR when its appropriate but one of the things that they should have praise for is healthy compromise in their collaborations.
Ikr!!!! Yet people defend them, and probably will in this comment chain too. They got used spit on then alot of the community said "thank u for everything" smh so irritating
Springtrap has a chance to bring back horror elements into dead by daylight, if they make his model more detailed and bloody that would be awesome but if his power made him able to jumpscare the survivors like in fnaf 3 it would be sick
Feels like the collaboration is now more likely to be dead by daylight because dead by daylight being a horror game would definitely make it possible to make a fnaf chapter work out for Scott and fans,Although being in Fortnite seems highly unlikely now
I think of it this way. William could become a survivor, after all, after ucn we dont see william again. and maybe MAYBE the entity takes the empty suits and creates a killer or something out of that. Like an amalgimated "spirit" that can possess different suits gaining different abilities.
this just wouldn't work out very well, people have been wanting to play with springtrap as a killer for years now, if behavior put William as a survivor it would cause such a big disappointment that it could really cause problems for them, especially with the fnaf community which seems like a hornet's nest when it comes to lore and stuff like that
if Springtrap have the ability to jump scare survivors and slowing them and giving them blindness effects, scratch mirror Myers is going to go dead (maybe)
to be honest, when Scott sais he doesn't want collabs that feel like a mismatch, that kinda makes me think that the announcement is not gonna be Fortnite. I don't think it's gonna be DbD either, but Fortnite just feels like the biggest mismatch possible for FNaF imo.
So what I'm seeing is the biggest obstacle to fnaf getting in dead by daylight is scott wanting people to play fnaf first because he doesn't want to dilute its legacy or the experience. Fair i can respect that however though that's understandable that is extremely unfair man Not everyone wants to play the entire fnaf series from start to finish, and I really do feel that this is a missed opportunity on his part. Dead by daylight authority proven itself to be very respectful of the service law on multiple occasions.Look at what they did when implementing the sadako chapter or silent hill chapter.
You don’t have to play the entire series 😅 He appears in other games but only as a minor character with not that much relevance. A new person to the series only has to play FNaF 3, that’s it.
Don’t blame him, man is a perfectionist who wants what’s best for his work and to be fair BHVR are not well known for being the most respectful company

Scott wasn't talking specifically about DBD here lmao
Scott was just talking about collabs in general. He never directly addressed DBD
Pretty funny timing now though lol.
@@Personian hey so guess what happened
I give him props for wanting to protect his brand. Brand integrity is one of the biggest things you want to keep cause the moment it changes the moment you either lose the style and the people or lose the brand entirely. Look at Disney. Disneys biggest thing is brand integrity & they have lasted because of it. Gotta give Scott props for looking at it more in a future perspective then just the right now.
2:13 oh hey, that’s me.
I love him saying that hes hesitant when in dbd its pretty much what fnaf is at the core, an animattonic hunting you down until he jumps on you
I've never played the games, but I just saw the live action movie and I'm all in on the Springtrap train.
I think it is likely, very likey
Also Fortnite is unlikely because Scott does say he wants the Collabs to “not” hurt the franchise
i think if ever, it'll be 2025/2026. high possibility FNAF 2 will dig into the Afton lore, and i highly believe if we ever get FNAF it will be the movie, the game just has too many holes for dbd to consider. dbd would be fools to not have the chapter be Afton based as the Aftons are a key symbol for FNAF, even people outside of the fandom know the Aftons. also makes more sense for a chapter to drop that promotes something, like the next upcoming movie. i dont think before is completely ruled out as they most likely have actors casted for the next movie already, if the next movie is Afton based.
@@ratsatouile 100%
@@Nachosthepug correction: the FNAF 2 poster looks like the toys, so they may be dedicating two movies to FNAF 1/FNAF 2 and Michael Schmidt? im not sure, unless their going to confirm the age old theory of Michael Schmidt and Michael Afton being the same person? its very unlikely but in atleast the FNAF 2 or FNAF 3 movie the other Afton's should show up.
@@ratsatouile Yep u were right
Bro predicting the collab with confidence is CRAZY
Summer 2025 it’s happening. It is official
Im so happy that he didnt collab with fortnite, definitely would've been his biggest mistake. DBD will make fnaf fucking scary like they always do.
This is exactly what I was thinking.
There is no lore in fnaf. Its written worse then a crappypasta
@@lmads8023 Lmao fnaf is in dbd now haha
if it's fortnite and not dbd, i'll be EXTREMELY disapointed. scott said he wouldn't collab if he doesn't think fnaf would match to be in that game. Fortnite does NOT suit fnaf. Dead by daylight 100% suits fnaf.
AAAAND We got them BOYSS We gotem!! YEEEEEEEEEEEESSSS DBD for the win
Oh how this aged
dude this aged PERFECTLY WTH IS THAT TIMMING
ITS FUCKING FNAF WE DID IT BOYSS
Yeah but 2025 is crazy 😂😂😂😂
everybody is getting fnaf in dbd dbd everyone hyped your body,s alright alright
Gumpy, please bless us with your wisdom! :D
If Scott was wanting to collaborate, DBD would be the best place to start, we often like to take jabbs at BHVR when its appropriate but one of the things that they should have praise for is healthy compromise in their collaborations.
4:24 it seems like Scott forgot what Illumix did to FNAF Special Delivery...
Ikr!!!! Yet people defend them, and probably will in this comment chain too. They got used spit on then alot of the community said "thank u for everything" smh so irritating
He’s talking about steel wool, for context. 🙄
@@Clone-jz4zf no... it illumix, read again
Springtrap has a chance to bring back horror elements into dead by daylight, if they make his model more detailed and bloody that would be awesome but if his power made him able to jumpscare the survivors like in fnaf 3 it would be sick
Never clicked a notification so fast
for real
😅 same
Fnaf Faggio
Feels like the collaboration is now more likely to be dead by daylight because dead by daylight being a horror game would definitely make it possible to make a fnaf chapter work out for Scott and fans,Although being in Fortnite seems highly unlikely now
Well, this video aged like milk, didn’t it? Lol😂
I think of it this way.
William could become a survivor, after all, after ucn we dont see william again. and maybe MAYBE the entity takes the empty suits and creates a killer or something out of that. Like an amalgimated "spirit" that can possess different suits gaining different abilities.
actually smth that makes sense
Thats actualy a great idea
this just wouldn't work out very well, people have been wanting to play with springtrap as a killer for years now, if behavior put William as a survivor it would cause such a big disappointment that it could really cause problems for them, especially with the fnaf community which seems like a hornet's nest when it comes to lore and stuff like that
WE DID IT
Poor dude could've waited one day with the vid
I have a feeling his talk about “mismatch” was aimed more at Fortnite, not dbd. But obviously he cant say that or else the community explodes.
if Springtrap have the ability to jump scare survivors and slowing them and giving them blindness effects, scratch mirror Myers is going to go dead
(maybe)
Gumpy if you are reading this, is the December killer the Banshee woman or the Woman with Dog?
Coming back after the announcement. It is a Dead by Daylight collab
Oh yes this means fnaf x fortnite is deconfirmed YESSSS
to be honest, when Scott sais he doesn't want collabs that feel like a mismatch, that kinda makes me think that the announcement is not gonna be Fortnite. I don't think it's gonna be DbD either, but Fortnite just feels like the biggest mismatch possible for FNaF imo.
well lucky us it's a BDB Collab yes!!
Funko is definitely known for their high quality collaborations...
You don’t have to play the entire series 😅 He appears in other games but only as a minor character with not that much relevance. A new person to the series only has to play FNaF 3, that’s it.
they don't have to play the games it would be alot quicker if they watch matpat he tell the whole lore start to finish
You do realize the new people would have to only play FNaF 3 right?
Don’t blame him, man is a perfectionist who wants what’s best for his work and to be fair BHVR are not well known for being the most respectful company
Video aged like milk
I CANNOT BELIEVE THAT ITS HAPPENING
