Love this MAN ,, one of the purest, accurate fretboard work, honest beautiful music,, and one of the nicest guys in the music business.. In Nashville Tennessee in 2013 at a Chet Atkins Appreciation Convention a friend snapped a picture of Earl Klugh and I , his arm firmly around my shoulder , a conformation of a musical hug,,, now framed on my musical wall,, worth a Million Dollars to me,,, His Heartfelt Smile , His Joy of Me after a tune he knew,,, at 75 I look at that picture smiling all the time, know I was hugged by GREATNESS....ALI FROM KENTUCKY
Absolutely Great Music from a genius! So uplifting and carefree, thinking about my late father now. Thank you Earl for honoring our father Doc Hyman with this tune.
I can remember many years ago when this was first released. The reactions that this beautiful piece of pure "JAZZ" music enhanced your senses, particularly, after a difficult day at school or work. Earl surely left his soul in this "MASTERPIECE."
Jazz fans are the warmest people in the universe. Listening to this music reminds me of my jazz club activities way back my undergraduate days. Shout to all jazz fans in the universe.
I Love This Song! It's My Favorite!😊 I had never heard of Earl Klugh. My brother introduced him to me at our Sunday dinner. Thank you my brother Kelvin! Very Talented Man!😊❤🌹
This wonderfully played classic by Earl reminds me of my days in college, listening to Nelson play on the late Steve Haun albums. Those were the days. I miss Steve Haun's music so much. Good to hear Nelson piping away. He is by far the best artist on the piccolo.
So beautiful...(tears) one of my many favorites by Earl Klugh..I saw him play this one when I was in my 20s (andat the time dating with my now wife of 31 Years, lol) and have never let it this song leave my heart! Is that Nelson Rangell on Piccolo, maybe? Sure looks like him! Simply beautiful...has made my day so special! :)
I've been a faithful fan since 1979 when my college roommate introduced me to Heart Strings the album. Heart Strings was my first love of contemporary Jazz and balledina my next as heard from the great vocalist Angela Bofill. Doc was my next delite as my wife developed a love for Earl Klugh's music.
I first heard DOC by Earl Klugh back in Philippines when PBA (Philippine Basketball Association) same as NBA here in STates go on halftime. They will play DOC as intermittent music while waiting for the players to come out of the dugout. Good times. 👍😊
Beautiful tune by Earl Klugh that in this wonderful live event in Java Indonesia takes new life with the great Nelson Rangell which is a true master and delivers with the piccolo flute a great sense....Nelson is a master in also simple whistling ....all players here delivers thei heart and it's a shame that the audience seems not to appreciate the music ...5 stars...!!
This song brings back great memories of growing up in South GA. The DJ on WJIZ Radio in Albany, GA. played this as an intro theme for the start of his evening/nightly jazz program I never knew who the musician was that played this great tune until years later I found out it was the legend Earl Klugh.
I'm in my 40s and I'm not sure if I was already born when this came out but first time I heard of this is when I was in grade school. I grew up listening to hard rock and grunge. But I love music like this. It helps me relax.
His sounds soothes my soul, i am a big fan of Mr. Earl Klugh since from my childhood! She killed my emotional feelings but when it comes to his sounds i get well.
mjavier5, thanks a lot for posting this great jazz music that I grow with. Love it...love it...love it...fell in love with it the first time I have heard it years ago :( To Earl Klugh and band, with lots of love...from the Philippines (tho I am currently in Sydney on study)....

Over the years I must have seen Earl 7 or 8 times. He hasn’t performed in years. I assume he decided to retire. I miss his live music. He is a great guitarist.
you never get old with this kind of music..I'm 67
That is absolutely splendid. This group was in Malawi a few years ago and this was one of the tunes they played. Memories
That’s bringing their joy across the world!
From 1981 to present. Always a staple in my house. My kids now in their 40's and 50's grew up on his music. We love it!
Absolutely wonderful...every second of it.
This is where it's at, pure jazz. That flute and the bass just go to hard! Smooth shootout to Earl Klugh for this masterpiece live performance.
Earl Klugh (Guitar) Nelson Rangell (Piccolo, whistle) Ron Otis (Drums) Al Turner (Bass) David Lee Spradley (Keyboards)
Earl Klugh, one of the best & never gets old. Listening in 2024. Thanks for sharing! 🫶🏼

Thank you Ciro Villa for the introduction of the instrument players. I though the guy playing the piccolo was a flute.
