I usually watch Laura first, then either Jenny or Robbie, then maybe Janie. 🪻🌷💚🙃 I don’t know why but Janie’s music drives me crazy, especially in the morning, I usually put closed captions on and turn off the volume til I see Janie speaking then the volume comes back on. 😊🪻🌷💚🙃 Sorry Robbie if your reading this , your in most cases after Laura, but I enjoy watching Laura to see what she’s adding to the garden now and I love seeing the rest of her family AND I’ve been subscribed to Laura’s channel for YEARS. I don’t comment on Laura’s channel much but I really like to give you a hard time or at least try and make you laugh ! 🪻🌷💚🙃

I started watching Laura but she is way too big for me, then l found Janey and LOVED her show because her yard was the size of mine and l could get so many ideas and information for a small city garden. Once she moved into her new place, l found YOU! Thank you for representing us small city gardeners.
I am writing this while listening…..10 acres? ☹️

I like that you said you’re still going to tell us about brands that you absolutely love. While I think it’s good for all of us to take Proven winners break and seek out some new stuff from other big brands like Monrovia, I still don’t want Monrovia shoved down my throat every 5 seconds either, lol! I feel like one of the reasons people love to watch Garden videos on RUclips is because the creators are personal. They’re telling you what they like and what works in their garden. It’s not like watching a commercial on TV or an ad online. You are watching someone in their own personal garden, sharing all of the things they love in their space. Obviously since you’re working with Monrovia and you’re going to be using all their plants, you are going to be pushing it a lot and that’s ok. But I still think it’s good to mention other things that you like every now and then

Our local parks have pittosporums and smell great in spring. The osmanthus fragrans is thanks to both the Hortube and Creekside Garden channels and have been flowering off and on fall thru spring now. I've had a neighbor walking their dog comment on the lovely scent around my house!

Robbie, I live in cottonwood. I love the ocean too and have fond memories of going every summer to Trinidad and the surrounding areas. My husband got a job offer over there there in a small town and we jumped at the chance to live there. Turns out, I HATED living at the coast. The cost of living is much higher. From my understanding, everything has to be brought in by trucks since there’s no port. Gas, food, housing, etc is all super expensive. Also, that whole coastline is a pretty depressed area. The weather is so incredibly different. I thought I would love it but turns out, I was so wrong! Just some things to think about. Love to visit, hate to stay. lol.

Good morning Robbie and Brent! Mr Maple has fantastic trees, over 1000 cultivars plus many other types of trees and shrubs, and they ship in fantastic shape! My favorite temperatures in the 60's. Our house is set on 68 year round, hubs freezes his skinny butt off,, and I tell him you know where the blankets are 😂🤣😂 That's one thing that I won't budge on. 😊 I grew up in the desert on the Colorado River in Arizona (Bullhead City, across the river from Laughlin Nevada) Definitely extreme heat! Now I live on the Texas Gulf Coast (since I was 18, I am now 64) We have extreme humidity OMG 🔥 🥵. I still miss being able to breathe in dry heat. Love having potted plant like you and grandma, but, hubby butts head with me, and wants everything in the ground 🙄😂 so I have gave in, on a few, but, I have purchased a couple of new plants that are potted up 😂🤣😂 Love your videos!

You are right about it being nice to see a variety of brands across channels. If I lived in the SE again, then seeing Southern Living plants would be great, but I have to mail order them to the Pacific Northwest. Same for Proven Winners, they are just not hardly available in the coastal Pacific Northwest, at least not in my area. Same for Espoma, it’s just not easy to get their products . It’s nice to see plants that I can more easily source without resorting to ordering small plants and paying a fortune for delivery. But, the one thing is that I am unfortunately one of those people who the pronunciation of clematis is a trigger. It should be KLEM-uh-tis. It’s the ONLY word that bothers me so much but hearing it mispronounced is like nails on chalkboard and I just have to click off if it’s said a lot in a video and even not watch a few channels where they say it often. I think there are so many younger YTers that maybe got into gardening through YT and they heard it one way and that’s the way they say it, so it’s just getting more widespread. I know most people don’t care about pronunciation and I wish it didn’t bother me so much.

I hope that after the excitement of Monrovia dies down, our community gets back to the civility Robbie loves about us. Do we really need to say things like, pimping Proven Winners or shoving them down our throat? I mean, isn't it OK that another brand is highlighted on other channels? Wouldn't it be the same if another community says Monrovia is blah blah blah. I hope we get back to being nice.

Howdy from Texas. So happy to watch your Chanel and number of subscribers growing. Congratulations on Monrovia. This is just the beginning and I’m excited to be along for the ride. Thank you for all the great videos. Godspeed.

I love love love heat so find your hate for it amusing. I guess we always want what we don’t have. Summers in southern Ontario are wonderful but 7 months of winter is a bit much.
